The Master Bedroom (Rm 2)

KimRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Our stay was perfect! Alexis was a wonderful host, providing tons of history about Newport and Rhode Island during our three breakfasts there. Super interesting! (And yummy!) Check in could not have been easier, and Alexis was attentive from start to finish. The location of her B&B is super convenient. We almost walked everywhere for our 3 1/2 day stay. The Broadway area has tons to do but the downtown area is super easy to walk to and where we spent most of our time! No need to worry about parking downtown! We jet out car at the bnb nearly all weekend! We have been staying in Newport for years and absolutely loved our stay with Alexis.
A comfortable bedroom features a spacious bed covered in a navy and white striped quilt. Coordinating accent pillows rest on the bed, with bright artwork displayed above. Natural light enters through a nearby window, enhancing the room's cheerful ambiance.

Thank you Jennifer and Patty for sharing such a lovely space! Finding the location of the BnB, as well as our check-in process went very smoothly. Patty, who helped us throughout our stay, showed us to our very clean and spacious room while sharing some recommendations for the area. Thanks to her we were able to enjoy Charlestown and beyond, supporting local businesses (bars, restaurants, and bait shop to rent kayaks) along the way. She even let us borrow some beach chairs! The bnb is quiet and charming, a perfect getaway for couples and families alike. So grateful for their hospitality, hope to visit soon :)

Stayed with Alexis for one night for a wedding in Newport. The location was easy to get to and she graciously allowed us to check in early when I realized check in didn’t start until we had to leave for the wedding! Very friendly and welcoming and knows the area very well to offer suggestions of things to do in the area!

Cleveland Victorian

DougRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We spent two nights with Rick and enjoyed our stay. You're renting a room in a quaint old complex of three or four old buildings converted to hotels. You can hear people walking the halls, but we did not hear anyone in their rooms. There is no "front desk", per se. If no one is at the Cleveland House office when you arrive, you call a number posted on the office door, and someone from the staff will arrive shortly to check you in. Every staff member we met was pleasant and welcoming as was Rick. We were offered our choice of three rooms. The staff member was happy to walk us around to the different buildings to show the options and answer our questions about each. The rooms are clean and simple; there is a chair or two and a small table, plus a closet and dresser. These rooms are to be slept in, not stayed in for the day. After two days of walking and seeing all Newport had, it was perfect for us to sleep. The quiet street was as safe and short walk to Thames Street.

Unique 3 Bedroom Stay, Exceptional Breakfast !

MattRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Tracy was wonderful to stay with, cooking delicious breakfasts, giving our family space to hold a celebration for my wife’s graduate degree, and accommodating our complex logistics with two kiddos under 6 years old and four grandparents up to 75 years old! Seriously—Tracy was a WONDERFUL host! Also, her place is only about 20 minutes from providence—definitely a great option for visiting folks at any of the universities in town!

Historic Mooresfield Inn : East Room

CraigRating, 5 stars9 months ago
We had a lovely two nights at Jeffrey and Christine's place. We did not want to stay at a hotel and this was the perfect home and location for our travels. The meticulous care and thoughtfulness that went into preparing for guests was very apparent and the addition of a light breakfast and snacks made it feel like we were transported away to a countryside manor home in England... We were lucky to have a nice chat with Christine who filled us in on some local history and Jeffrey's furniture making craftsmanship is unsurpassed. Highly recommend.

Riverfront Suite Retreat B & B with own entrance

ToddRating, 5 stars7 months ago
I can’t say enough positive things about the absolutely warm welcome and beautiful host family Pam and Joe were. Pam outdid herself baking cookies and delicious breakfasts for us. There were many toys and books for my 3yo daughter to enjoy. I also enjoyed the adult book library. Every need is anticipated and provided for. I especially enjoyed the gas fireplace that made the suite extra cozy. The bedding was so comfortable, and the yard with the sandy beach, kayaks, fire pit, swing, climbing tree and toys galore were heavenly for my daughter and I to make cherished memories together. The pictures do not do their beautiful home and yard justice! If you are looking for a relaxing Rhode Island sanctuary with a top notch view of the river, peace, comfort and a home away from home, stay with Pam and Joe. This is exactly what the founders of Airbnb envisioned!

Iconic Providence Historic House w/art RM #6

LauraRating, 5 stars9 months ago
This is a very unique property to say the least. Over the top is a phrase that comes to mind with the architecture. This exquisite house has so much history. Look it up on line. (Tirocchi sisters) They have books about the house and its renovation in each room and for sale. It is remarkable. So many people came together and preserved this treasure. I love the local art twists- artists in residence. The fact that it was preserved and opened to the public to enjoy is very special. The hosts were lovely and there was a feeling of warmth and belonging once I walked in the door. They have snacks and coffee and tea available at all time, and they serve you continental breakfast on a tray! This was one of my favorite stays on my 3 week trip hopping around the east coast. I highly recommend this place. L from the west coast

I’ve seen the downfall and then the reinvigoration of The Wedding Cake House. We lived in Providence for over 10 years and this property was always there and it was sad to see it in disarray. Seeing it now in all of its old Victorian glory is amazing. Each room has a unique personality and the art is great. Coffee was great as well as the breakfast offerings in the morning. We were comfortable and would definitely stay again or recommend to friends and family. Thank you Pippi, Xander, and all of the additional helpers!

Iconic Providence Historic House w/art RMs #7 & 8

EugeneRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I stayed in Rooms 7 and 8 at the Wedding Cake House from May 22–25, 2025, during my 30th Brown University reunion, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The house itself is a stunning piece of history with a unique and artistic charm that set it apart from traditional accommodations. It was impeccably clean, and every detail—from the decor to the comfort of the rooms—reflected care and creativity. Our hostess was welcoming, pleasant, and went out of her way to be helpful, which made a busy Commencement and holiday weekend feel easy and relaxed. The location was ideal—close to Brown and surrounded by eclectic shops and great restaurants, all in a neighborhood that felt safe and vibrant. I’m so glad I chose to stay here rather than at a pricey downtown hotel. This Airbnb offered a memorable and personal touch that made my reunion weekend even more special. I highly recommend the Wedding Cake House to anyone visiting Providence.

Josiah Keith House (19th century suite)

StaceyRating, 5 stars20 months ago
Justin's 300+ year old pre-American Revoluion home is in incredible & intact condition with many original architectural/design delights including original floor planks, fireplace / kitchen hearth, and beautiful barn (which we learned from our host is likely the oldest surviving barn in the country on its original foundation). Justin generously shared his vast knowledge about the history of home and the original (and subsequent) owners of the house. He was also delightful to hang around with, and very helpful with logistical details and recommendations etc. The accommodations (including modern bathrooms!) are charming and appropriate, and the home is full of era-appropriate artifacts and eclectic/fun items, all of which Justin invites guests to interact with. Highly recommend - especially if you love his old houses and history. I can't imagine another unique opportunity to be so up close with a house of this era without it being a no-touch museum setting. The home & host are treasures!

I own a housekeeping company. I am only comfortable when efforts are made to be clean and welcoming for the next guest. The atmosphere was positive, fun, clean and comfortable. I’m so glad it was just as pictured! I loved my stay! My mattress was fantastic and I slept like a baby! The bathroom was clean. I appreciate the tiles and grout cleanliness attended to! I love walking barefoot on a clean floor! I’d definitely book again!
