Family-friendly vacation rentals in New Hanover County

The beach house was clean and nicely furnished. We had ample room for seven adults. It could comfortably sleep 9 people since the day bed was large enough for an adult in the alcove area. We were disappointed that the bicycles and the kayaks at the house were locked and we could not use them. But we enjoyed the sound with the beautiful sunsets and the beach was a short walk from the house. All in all a great house and vacation!

Very nice place to stay! Would def stay again. Private and perfectly located in safe neighborhood.

Location is fantastic. Right on the beach. Wonderful view from the porch. Our family had a great stay. The condo is a little dated but for the location doesn’t matter all that much.

Exceptional customer service! When our coffee maker quit working one morning, they replaced it within the hour. They were very responsive to any questions or requests. Everything was very clean and exactly as described. We will definitely use Bryant Real Estate for our next trip.

Wow— great experience! Lovely unit with spectacular views. Great decor. Comfortable furnishings. The large deck was perfect for enjoying meals and relaxing. Appreciated the responsiveness of the Bryant team, and the flexibility to allow for a same-day stay! Things for future guests to note: 1) As of this post, the guest needs to stop in Carolina Beach to gather a check-in packet prior to driving to the unit in Kure Beach, and 2) Bryant asks you to sign a lengthy contract prior to arrival. Can’t wait to return. Beautiful, yet comfortable accommodations. Wonderful experience. Highly recommend.

Beautiful ocean front home with plenty of space for our large group. Very quiet community with beach access that felt almost private. Close proximity to restaurants and coffee shops with a short drive to the Carolina Beach area. The host was responsive and helpful prior to check-in and facilitated an early arrival. I think it’s important to note the only free parking is a two-car garage that can hold up to two midsize SUVs. There is not a driveway; therefore, if you have a bigger vehicle, plan to park on the street and pay daily parking fees. We will definitely plan another visit in this property.

Katherine was the best host. Her accommodations were darling and stocked with thoughtful details like wine, coffee and snacks. She offered extensive suggestions for local restaurants and things to do . She was friendly, welcoming and proactive. We would absolutely stay here again and will tell our friends.

My two friends and I decided to come here for our friend vacation and we made the perfect choice! This place is so cool and cute, very clean and exactly as pictured. The hosts are very responsive and nice. The trailer is in a great location close to basically everything. The price was great and affordable too! Thank you so much, we had a blast and will definitely visit again in the future!! :)

The place was perfect in every aspect: The location, size, accommodations, amenities, and proximity to the areas we frequented. For our tennis group, the total cost was less than what a hotel would have cost, which is historically where we used to stay. This experience, summarized by our ability to share one place, travel together, have meals together, watch TV together, and have the large space to spread out was absolutely fantastic. The experience was positive any which way you look at it. On top of that, Jana (and her husband) were super hosts with super friendly communication. We wish we had the opportunity to meet them in person, but..............maybe this time next year :-).

From the moment we walked through the door we felt at home. The location was exactly what we wanted, equal distance between Carolina Beach and Wrightsville Beach, short drive to all our favorite Wilmington spots, yet tucked away in a lovely quiet spot. The home was clean, comfortable, creative, and fun! All the amenities and extras were fantastic, and the kitchen was so well stocked that we skipped the restaurants, went to Seaview, and cooked up delicious fresh seafood for ourselves! By far our best Wilmington trip, Renato and Anne really have created a special place (Pinot Noir and the goats were an extra special bonus), and we're so grateful.

The sailboat was a wonderful place to spend our days. We could walk to the beach (maybe 8 minutes?) for sunrise, or enjoy it at the marina. Sunset was the other side of the boat, right over the Intercoastal. The marina is well protected with rocks- so there was very little swaying /rocking. We brought food for breakfasts and lunches, and enjoyed that on deck, and mostly ate out for dinner. There is some great local seafood/vegetarian options too. The aft (back of boat) bed is the roomier of the two and was VERY comfortable

Thank you Shelly for providing us a perfect location to spend a few restful nights at the beach. I would highly recommend Shelly’s place to any couple looking to spend time at Carolina Beach. We will be back!

This is not my first time staying at this Airbnb and I will definitely look forward to visiting again! Jessica is VERY sweet and responsive and her place is just perfect if you're looking for the downtown Wilmington experience. I've stayed at plenty of Airbnb's including others in the same location downtown but this one is the best for sure!

Our stay was great. Great location and views. The host checked in often and was informative. We will be back one day!

This was our first Airbnb experience since selling our timeshare last year. Andres & Emily made everything easy! Great check in and check out instructions. The condo was very clean, with all of the amenities they listed in their description. The bed was clean and comfortable and the living room was nicely decorated with a couch, coffee table and television. Highly recommend eating at Island Burger and Pops Diner, which are nearby. The boardwalk was only 2 blocks over. I also found a beautiful starfish necklace (I've been looking for a nice one for awhile) at a boutique called Salty Chic...very cool store located in the Publix shopping center. Overall, we had a wonderful vacation and would also highly recommend Andres And Emily's condo, especially for a couple.

We come to wrightsville beach several times per year and we will be back to this home. It had a great layout got a large family. We came with our 2 sons and our 4 grand children and never felt cramped. It's a home we will frequent while in wrightsville.

David and Kris were terrific hosts! They went out of their way to keep us informed of fun events happening around the island, which we greatly appreciated as it was our first time to BHI. The unit is just as pictured and beautifully renovated. Kitchen is expertly organized and has full array of cookware. The location is central on the island, making it a quick ride to the market, beach, club, etc. The surrounding live oaks and foliage are beautiful. I would definitely recommend! We will be back.

Great stay at Gregory's condo. Enjoyed both balconies, which had comfortable furniture and front balcony has 2 views of the ocean! Two beach chairs, towels and umbrella provided, which was nice since we flew. Pier with tiki bar, food and ice cream is a block away- really nice views too! Pool was an added bonus!

Great place and Amanda was very responsive. Unfortunately, my car was towed, but it was completely my fault. DO NOT FORGET THE PARKING PASS. I told Amanda afterwards, a good idea would be to put a sign inside reminding guests to make sure the pass is displayed and she did! It is easy to forget when you are in and out over several days. Close to the Carolina beach boardwalk and plenty of things to do! Nice beach umbrella and chairs, etc came in really handy!!

Darlene was a fantastic host! She communicated quickly when I had any questions. Her house was probably one of the best stocked AirBnBs that we've stayed at. The pool was so private, I knew we had neighbors, but could not see them. The house was perfect for our family! We loved Carolina Beach!

For being a last minute trip to Wrightsville beach, Matthew made it easy with his excellent communication and instructions. The place is centrally located, an easy walk to coffee, restaurants and bars. The views of the beach/ocean are perfect and the condo was very clean. If you are looking for a place to stay in Wrightsville I'd recommed staying at Matthew's place.
