The cottage is seen from a pathway, showcasing its stone facade and red tiled roof under clear blue skies. Large windows allow natural light to fill the interior, and a grassy area leads to a wooden fence and distant fields.

Paddock Cottage

This was our first Airbnb experience and we have to say that the bar has been set very high. Our host Trevor was lovely, the area beautiful and interesting, and the accommodation excellent. There were plenty of great walks within an easy drive and it wasn’t overcrowded which made it all the more pleasant. Although the accommodation is great, it is worth being aware that the stairs to the bedroom may present challenges for some people, but if you think you can manage them, you will love this property. There are different options for heating, constant hot water and the kitchen has everything you need. The four legged neighbours are also friendly, if hungry; and my guide dog very much appreciated the lovely dog bed, fleecy blanket and flashing toy! Thank you so much Trevor, it would be lovely to be able to return in the future if we can manage it.

A small flat in the basement of a well-kept townhouse. The flat is well designed, and equally well furnished. It has everything you need. The wifi works well. From the place it is easy to walk to area with shops and restaurants, as well as the centre of Durham. The train station and bus station are a 10 minute walk away.

We loved staying in this Ushaw moor house. It’s well equipped, and spacious. It was so quick to get into Durham city as well. We’re planning to come back to visit in the summer.

Durham city stylish town house with Free Parking.

This house was a real find. Very comfy, nice big sofas to lounge on and chat and as described. The location was great, a nice, short walk into the city centre with lots of fabulous restaurants and bars close by to pop into. My friends and I had a fabulous stay and highly recommend it. We would stay again.

had a fantastic stay. the log burner was lush in the evening on coming in from the hot tub... the location was beautiful and just a quick taxi ride into Durham... very impressed that there were basics there such as tea/coffee, cooking oil, condiments and washing up liquid. Also shampoo etc...would happily stay there again... absolutely first class and excellent communication from the owners...

A serene river scene is depicted, framed by trees coated in a layer of snow. A single rower glides smoothly across the still water, reflecting the surrounding winter landscape. The atmosphere suggests a peaceful, wintry day, with muted colors from the snow and water.
