Our cottage is the perfect base to explore Northumberland’s beauty & heritage.

Stand alone, wild, off-grid woodland pod

300 yards walk across the fields and over 2 stiles, from the car parking area, totally off-grid camping pod, with solar panel for lighting and USB phone charging, a composting loo and gas shower. Situated in a stunning bluebell wood, with breathtaking views of Cheviot, Simonside and the Coquet Valley. The Pod stands alone, with just the abundant wildlife to share the woods with. The pod is very basic with no heating, a 2-ring gas hob and small sink, and a fire pit area with fallen wood for fuel.

The cottage was previously owned by the Armstrong family owners of Craigside and Bambrugh Castle. In the past its been a post office and a sweet shop. The Granary is located on a working farm in the heart of Northumberland's International Dark Sky Park. It has kitchen/living area upstairs to make the most of the fabulous views. This cottage has access to a nearby EV car charger Changeover day for week- long stays is a Friday It is a perfect hideaway for two with a cosy log burning fire, original beams, real wood floors and a lovely flower-filled garden.
