Located in the town next to Narai-juku, Nakasendo's post town, a historic town that has flourished as a region for lacquerware from the Edo period. It was selected as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, and was built in 1931 in this town, where lacquerware shops are still lined up. Limited to one group per day without meals, you can use the entire house. I think the charm of Hirasawa is the unforgettable beauty and abundance. It would be nice if you could stay like living in this old town, such as reading, walking, local sake (sake, wine), and sleeping slowly. We have renovated it to be able to accommodate guests, while keeping the rural Kabuki stage as intact as possible. We hope you enjoy the hot springs, delicious food, and pleasant mountains in the town around Lake Suwa, which you can see from the window.

Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

There are 2 bedrooms(Tatami-room) and 1 living room, gameroom, bathroom, shower toilet, all of the room are only for you. *Children is free of charge if your children don't need a bed and break fast. There are air conditioners in bedroom and livingroom.

Yado Hakuguri 板倉の宿 白栗 -Tiny guest house-

This accommodation is a private rental, limited to one group per day. Itakura no Yado Shirakuri is a small old traditional house inn started by an owner who loves traditional houses. Itakura was relocated from the foot of Mt. Norikura and opened in June 2016. I hope that you will be able to feel the atmosphere of Itakura which is not found in everyday life.
