Limited to one group per day, Mökki is a small cottage with a garden by a stream
Mökki means "cottage" in Finnish. Enjoy your time in a special place surrounded by nature. Guest house Mökki is located in Shinano-cho, which is blessed with forests, lakes, and snow in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture, and there are many natural places nearby such as Kurohime Kogen, Lake Nojiri, and Togakushi. Feel free to use the entire building, which has been renovated with natural materials such as cedar, cypress, and plaster, as well as the natural garden that creates seasonal scenery and the forest where the stream flows. You can see birds, squirrels, and martens in the forest, and you can enjoy walking around looking for wild vegetables and mushrooms, as well as swings and hammocks. We also paid attention to the interior of the room and kitchen utensils so that you can enjoy "living". At the pavilion by the stream, you can enjoy BBQs and campfires without worrying about the weather. In the green season, it is the perfect base for hiking, fishing, paddle boarding, and golf, and in the snow season, it is also the perfect base for winter sports. We also have a celebration cake service for guests celebrating birthdays and anniversaries. Please check with me in advanced.

Deep Gorge - The Lodge, a newly built lodge in North Karuizawa | Enjoy a stay in the forest
This is a newly built, privately rented lodge nestled in a quiet forest in Kita-Karuizawa. Enjoy a stay surrounded by seasonal nature in a fully private space featuring two queen-size beds, a living room with a wood-burning stove, a functional kitchen, and a private bathroom. [A special dining experience in a writer's studio] The kitchen and dining table at the lodge feature one-of-a-kind pottery created in the on-site pottery studio.Brewing coffee in a cup made by the owner, a ceramic artist, and serving up local ingredients—those seemingly mundane moments become a little more special here. Please let us know if there are any items you would like to purchase. You can also enjoy a pottery-making experience at the on-site pottery studio, available by reservation. About 90 minutes from Tokyo, and also about a 30-minute drive to Karuizawa and Kusatsu Onsen.Enjoy the luxury of doing nothing, surrounded by campfires, forest walks, and the flickering flames of the wood-burning stove. For a quiet moment with family, friends, loved ones, or just for yourself.

Enjoy the view of Lake Nojiri, with a private sauna, Anoie (あの家)
This house overlooks Lake Nojiri and has a superb view. There are several ski resorts (Myoko, Kurohime, Madarao) about 15-20 minutes away by car, making it a perfect base for winter sports. Enjoy the wood stove sauna and the water bath with a view. There are no private houses around, so you can listen to music and watch movies loudly. Because it is a house located deep in the mountains, we take the best measures, but in the warm season, insects come out. It snows a lot in winter. In autumn, fallen leaves dance. You will also need to adjust the wood stove fire yourself. It's not an easy house to live in, but we promise you a great view and experience. Enjoy cooking with a counter kitchen with a view, condiments and cooking utensils. (There is no equipment for BBQ)

It is 60 minutes by Shinkansen from Tokyo to Karuizawa, and 30 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station, so you can work in the morning and take a half-day off in the afternoon, for example. Surrounded by nature, you can relax and enjoy an extraordinary time. < Winter season November-March > The outdoor bath is closed during the winter months.

Capsule House-K, a monumental capsule house in nature designed by Kisho Kurokawa
CAPUSULE HOUSE-K is a private house designed by Kisho Kurokawa. It was created based on the concepts of Metabolism and Homo Mobius. This building is composed of the same capsules as the Chugin Capsule Tower Building, which is also a metabolism building, and was completed in 1973, the year after the building was completed.
