Kyoto no Oyado Yorisuke is a 5-minute walk from Keihan Kiyomizu-gojo Station, and is a private rental house.

We had an incredible stay here. Such a lovely home. Natsuko was so kind to pick us up from the nearby park to direct us to the house.
A modern kitchen area is displayed, featuring wooden cabinetry and a sleek countertop. Industrial lighting hangs above, and warm wall sconces enhance the space. A round mirror adds a reflective element, while a window allows natural light to complement the interior design.

Machiya hotel YANAGI ― Akatsuki ―

A beautiful, cozy cottage that matches the photos. The courtyard was very nice to be able to sit outside for a while. The only thing we found less appealing was the open sleeping areas upstairs, which gave a slightly less private feeling. Please be aware of this if you are traveling with multiple couples. Furthermore, a very nice experience and a top restaurant nearby: Sai Ramen. It's around the corner and it was the best meal we ate in Japan!

The entrance to the guest house is marked by a traditional wooden sign with kanji characters. A wooden gate opens onto a narrow pathway, lined with greenery and leading toward a welcoming red-walled space. Soft lighting is visible, creating a serene ambiance.

It was an absolutely gorgeous place to stay. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto who is looking for a traditional experience. The staff are all so friendly and helpful, and their local recommendations were all amazing. If I come to Kyoto again, I would stay here again for sure!

KYOTO Traditional and modern terrace house

Staying in this beautiful home was such a wonderful mix of traditional Japanese living with the comforts of modern living with very easy to use clean kitchen and bathrooms and shower. My family enjoyed the open air bath however I found myself enjoying it every evening we stayed for some time to soak the muscles and hear the sound of someone playing nearby piano and the summer rain. Akane is such a lovely host, offering us help and showing us around the home and local recommendations when we arrived early. She also popped by to swap our towels for fresh ones and was easily reached whenever we needed extra help. I highly recommend staying in this home, you will be submerged into the history of Kyoto mixed with comfortable living ♥️

I stayed here for 2 days and had a great time. The beds are very comfortable and the shared spaces are very nice and well-maintained. It was fun to socialize with other guests and meet new people. Highly recommend!
A well-lit interior features a wooden structure combining natural and modern elements. Two separate toilets are housed within wooden enclosures, positioned near a cozy sleeping area with tatami mat flooring. Warm lighting enhances the serene atmosphere, and a skylight above allows natural light to filter in.

Our stay at Icy's apartment for two nights was absolutely fantastic! The apartment itself is stunning – it's clear everything is brand new, with beautiful furnishings and a really fancy, modern design that made us feel like we were in a high-end boutique hotel. Beyond the aesthetics, the location couldn't be better. We loved being within easy 15 minutes walking distance of all the major tourist spots, and the surrounding area was so nice and comfortable to explore. What truly made our trip exceptional was Icy, who was an incredibly helpful and responsive host. We felt so at home from the moment we arrived. Highly, highly recommend!

A relaxing time away from the crowds in an old house in Gosho Minami with good access. [Huyuhusa]

My family and I enjoyed our stay! this was a new area that we had not stayed in or visited before so we enjoyed getting to walk around to the local restaurants that were all delicious and also bike around to the surrounding areas! we definitely felt more like locals, and it was fun to explore the little shops and eating spots and cafés around. there was also a grocery store and 711 close by for any needs. The house itself is older and more traditional with some modern touches, but it was a fun experience to staying in a house vs hotel towards the end of our trip. The space was clean, stocked with plenty of towels, extra linens, kitchen needs etc and we all felt comfortable. as others have mentioned, the house is located just off of a main busy road so there is loud noise from cars passing by. We slept with earplugs and had a sound machine, but if you are a light sleeper, this may bother you. we found the host to be extremely accommodating, responsive, and helpful! thank you so much!
