It is about 25 km to Aarhus and about 20 km to Ebeltoft. The house has 3 bedrooms. There is a kitchen and living room with a wood-burning stove. There are two terraces with sun and good shelter. If you want to experience Denmark from its beautiful and quiet side, then “Vidkærhøj” is the place for you. The home is part of our property from the 1870s, and was originally an old barn, which we have lovingly restored over the past few years. It is centrally located between Aarhus, Silkeborg and Skanderborg. It is high up here, and if you like, our dog, Aggie, would love to greet you, just as our cats, chickens and rooster are also very curious. We can’t wait to host you 🤗

Note! Limited bookings spring/summer 2025 due to construction work on the farm! Welcome to Vandbakkegaarden’s Retro House. Here you will find nature, peace and plenty of cosiness in authentic surroundings. The house is the original cottage built around 1930, while we live in a newer house on the property. The house deserves to be lived in and cared for, and you – our guests, contribute to that. We also appreciate offering our guests a different type of holiday and on a budget.

This 80 m2 beautiful apartment is located in an oasis, in the middle of agricultural land, with rich bird and animal life. When the sun goes down, there is ample opportunity to study the night sky. Also close to Djursland's many attractions, as well as Mols Bjerge, and the many hiking trails. 3 km to basic shopping and 8 km to a larger selection. Feel free to use the electric car charger, at the daily price.

Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. The city of Aarhus, the light rail, bus connections, 1 km to the highway, 4-5 km to the beach, village idyllic. Quiet scenic areas (municipal forest 1 km.) Large common area with grass on the plot. Reasonably cheap heating and hot water. There is geothermal heating and good insulation.

Our house is located very close (100 m ) to the river "Gudenaaen", and the oak tree forrest. You will love our house, because of the location, and the outdoor areas. The room is a good choise for couples (+ one small child ), fishermen, tourists and business travelers.
