We loved staying here! It had everything we needed and was peaceful and had beautiful surroundings. it was so convenient that it had a washing machine. There is even a delicious bakery next door! I recommend this location! Naomi was so kind and helpful.

Shiho was a great host! She was very proactive in her communication. We were able to find the place, check-in, and check out without any problems. Their home was very clean. We even got to enjoy a view of the fireworks from the 3rd floor on Saturday! We would definitely stay here again if returning to Otsu. Like others mentioned, you can hear the street noise--a bit more from the front bedroom than the living area or back bedroom, but it did not bother us at all as we are used to living in a city. It was convenient to walk to the mall and grocery store though we had a car. The binder with tourist information was very helpful. We are very happy with our stay. If you are looking for a quiet retreat, or have trouble with stairs, you may want to look for different accomodations.

Has to be 5 Star. Initial findings a little surprising as it is a dated building but it is spotlessly clean and has everything you need for a base. Linen and towels very good. Pillow not so great please consider an upgrade on these! But all facilities you need to make your stay pleasant and successful Wi Wi - has to be mentioned. It wasn’t great - but was fine for basis connections, email and messages just don’t expect to be watching Netflix - I’m advised it is being upgraded. Don’t be put off by the first impression - you cannot do better for the cost which is very good.
