We loved Gooseberry Cottage. Only a few minutes drive from our family and local supermarket in Stockton but feels like we were way out in the countryside. There’s a nice stroll close to the house. It’s really easy to get onto the A66 to head further afield. Very comfortable place that is nicer than it looks in the photos. Super friendly hosts 🙂

What a great house, had everything we needed, is modern but still cosy, great pizza place (knead a slice) nearby, and fab tea room on the square. Beautiful local walks - deer park, binchester roman fort by the river. Thoroughly recommend and highly enjoyable!

This was our second stay and was perfect . We had our son, his wife and baby with us this time and wondered if we’d have enough room for us all but it was fine, plenty of space for us all and Milo (the dog). Even has two parking spaces. Thank again😍

Loved the cottage. On the area: - fabulous local pub doing great food a literally a stone throws away - a ton of stuff to do within driving distance. We have a 3 & a 6 year old and we didn't scratch the surface of what there was in our 2 days. The local train museum (which is free) kept both our kids entertained for half a day alone - outstanding. Kimberley as a host was extremely responsive and her and Gary have very clearly put a lot of thought into the cottage - so many thoughtful touches! Wouldn't want to ruin it but as an example Kimberley even put out some age appropriate books for our kids along with some torches for some lights off reading by their beds. We'll definitely book again next time we're in the area

Absolutely beautiful place, very peaceful with stunning views. Everything inside was of a very high standard and the music system was a great added touch. Instructions for everything were clear and at hand and we even had a gorgeous welcome basket. I happened to mention our stay was a night away for my partners birthday and they put banners and signs up for him which was just lovely. The hot tub was up and running for when we wanted a dip and the underfloor heating was amazing. We would absolutely stay again and would highly recommend.
