Had fantastic stay at the lodge, which is very much on the lake! We enjoyed amazing views both during the day, and at night watching the stars. We had a lovely day out at Cefn Mably farm, very short walk from the lodge. A great Birthday weekend!

The inside was lovely with everything you needed but it was the views that made it. Sitting out on the patio watching the landscape change as the sun set and the mist rolled into the valley, whilst listening to the birds chatter in the trees below was wonderful.

Lovely, private cabin on the lake. Modern, clean, and well-equipped. Would stay again.

Absolutely loved our weekend getaway at the Cefn Mably Lakes cabins! The location is gorgeous, and the cabin is super cute, with everything you need. The wildlife is stunning, we saw so many frogs, fish, birds and even an Otter we named Oscar! The hot tub was perfect too, lovely to go in day or night. Owen’s really helpful, and replied almost instantly. We can’t thank you enough, would definitely recommend!

Chapel Cottage is a delightful countryside retreat that offers everything you could hope for in a peaceful escape. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the stunning views across rolling green hills and the tranquil atmosphere. The cottage itself is charming and immaculately clean, with modern amenities that ensure a comfortable stay. We especially loved the private hot tub – a perfect way to unwind while gazing at the beautiful landscape. The garden and outdoor space are equally wonderful, with vibrant flowers and plenty of room for children to play. The local area is full of scenic walks and charming villages, making it a great base for exploring the region. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway or a family holiday, Chapel Cottage is an idyllic choice that combines comfort, relaxation, and breathtaking natural beauty. We can’t wait to return!

Great place for a quiet retreat. Peaceful, lakeside cabin with a lovely hot tub. We stayed in the Grebe lodge which you can’t fish from. There are others that you can fish from if that’s what you’re after. Reception has a shop that sells all your basic needs such as tea, coffee, sugar, chocolate and beers. I would recommend if you’re arriving after hours that you bring your own tea / coffee and milk as there are none in the cabins themselves. Would recommend a stay here and we will stay here again. A really relaxing weekend in the countryside wishing earshot of Cardiff.

Victoria & Craig have re-written the rulebook when it comes to hosting. Both were very very friendly and welcoming upon arrival. Nothing was too much trouble and every single detail you can think of was covered. The cabin was extremely well appointed in beautiful, peaceful, and very private surroundings! Everything was immaculate, it was impossible to believe that someone had stayed in it just before we arrived. Although completely left to our own devices the welcome pack, instruction book and decor made you feel like they were there to make sure you were having a good time. An extremely professional, beautiful and well run setup from two lovely people! Can’t wait to come back! Love to the Alpacas aswell!!

Really lovely little place to stay, perfect for myself and husband. Made for a very relaxing stay.

We had a lovely time at Rachel's home in Bleddfa. The house is surrounded by beautiful countryside and had everything we needed. The kitchen is well equipped and the bedrooms have lovely views and a delight to wake up to. From the dining table you can watch the visiting birds on the bird feeder we even had a wood pecker visit. Fabulous to use the hot tub in the evening which was lovely and warm. Great to watch the sheep and we made a friend of Taff the very tame sheep who enjoyed a biscuit or 2. We visited the Elan Valley area, devils bridge and the kite feeding at Gigrin Farm. Lovely long weekend really enjoyed the home and will definitely visit again.

Perfect stay, amazing location. Clean and neat. Could not have asked for a better few days. The location is great and lots of things to do near by. Mick and his wife were wonderful hosts!

This little break away was perfect for my partners 40th birthday. It was our first little break since having a baby and it was like home from home. The area was beautiful and private and the lodge was super clean. We’d definitely return for longer next time.

The photos do not do this place justice! We loved Steve’s place. Super dog friendly, especially the private woods at the back of the Shed. This place is really big, lots of space inside and out. Comfy bed and sofa. Had everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely recommend! Steve is super friendly and his guidebook super helpful.

What a beautiful loction we had 2 fabulous nights here from the get go it was everything & more! Delia was a superb hostess nothing was to much for her! the lodge is so comfortable & well equipped the views & surroundings from the lodge are beyond words the Lodge is highly recommended we will be back…, Thank you Delia for making us so welcome

Lovely little secluded spot. The cabin had everything we needed as a family with young children and a dog.

We really needed a chill out break ,and this was absolutely perfect . The cabin was cosy and had everything we needed , location was wonderful ,peaceful , and a great area for walking . We can’t wait to go back .

Thanks to Charlotte and Chris for amazing hospitality. Our second stay at Forest Lodge, returning in recognition of an excellent location for exploring and facilities, Lodge exactly as described with great facilities and super clean with freshly laundered linen and towels. Super comfy beds including the coveted bedroom overlooking the trout lake where French doors can be opened to offer uninterrupted views of waterfowl on the lake and horses in the distance. Home made cake and a jug of fresh milk greeted us after the drive from Surrey and there was a supply of tea, coffee and sugar too. Nothing too much trouble, personal recommendations much appreciated including an invitation to join the village celebrate VE Day 80 at the lighting of a beacon. We can't wait to go back for another wonderful stay with excellent hosts.

We had an amazing time away, the cabin was absolutely gorgeous and so peaceful. I don’t think pictures do it justice! Had a lovely evening sat by the fire pit, and we really hope to return soon! Louise and Kenton were friendly and responded to any messages quickly and the whole experience was so lovely I highly recommend!!

Breathtaking views and a very peaceful stay. Very welcoming and helpful hosts - Clive met us at the library to show us how to navigate the roads on the way up before showing us round. Highly recommend.
