To Sjusjøen cross-country skiing 8 km drive, to Hafjell/Hunderfossen Adventure Park 30 min, and Sjusjøen alpine for families only 10 min. Lillehammer city center 15 mins. Evening and Sunday open grocery store Mesnali 3 min. Bed linen and towels can be rented and must be pre-booked - price NOK 250/£20/€25 per set. Feel free to bring your own. From July 2025, we can finally welcome you to Hanshagan – an authentic farmhouse, closely restored in 1920s style, but with modern comfort. The house has recently been carefully restored: original materials have been preserved, old craft traditions continued, and all with respect for the history of the place. Here you can experience life as it was – without sacrificing warmth, hygiene or convenience. Hanshagan is beautifully situated in Stange Vestbygd and offers views of fields, forests and Mjøsa.

The old summer barn of Hovelsrud Gård is idyllically located between Mjøsa and a rolling grain field – a simple and unique place for those who want to get close to nature and enjoy the tranquility of Helgøya. The house is best suited for a couple or a small family with up to two children. Inside there is a bedroom and an open living room. Outside there is a kitchen counter, with a gas burner and barbecue, a small beach with swimming opportunities and an outdoor toilet. There is no electricity.
