You can also come by public transport, but the area is more convenient to have a car. Free pick-up and drop-off are available at Shinano-Matsukawa Station and Akashina Station.Other pick-up and drop-off services and sightseeing pick-up and drop-off services are available for 2,000 yen to 8,000 yen (round-trip fare) depending on the distance, within 2 hours each way.For groups of 5 or more, we can arrange a rental car, so please consult with us in advance. There are also plenty of seasonal activities, such as skiing, hiking, river play, hot springs, and Hokuto City, which is surrounded by famous peaks, has many viewpoints where you can enjoy views of Mt. Yatsugatake, the Southern Alps, and Mt. Fuji. There is also an abundance of spring water. Please try to find them. The building was designed and constructed by the Tokei team, and the team operates it as an inn for many people to use. The distinctive architecture is a redesign of an old townhouse using modern construction methods and traditional materials. Located in the town next to Narai-juku, Nakasendo's post town, a historic town that has flourished as a region for lacquerware from the Edo period.It was built in 1931 in this town, which has been selected as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings and still has lacquerware shops. Our house is available for rent as an entire house, limited to one group per day, without meals.It takes a little time to get around, and there is no supermarket or convenience store in this area, but I think that's why this place has a quietness and a casual, simple beauty to everyday life.It would be nice if you could stay like living in this old town, such as reading, walking, local sake (sake, wine), and sleeping slowly. There are no screen doors in this old house in the valley of the mountains, so in the warm season, wildlife may come in.The 95-year-old building is not polished to a high shine down to the last detail.We are preparing to welcome you as clean as possible, but we would appreciate it if you could come with a big heart. We use the accommodation fees we receive from guests to repair the building, and I would like to start by taking care of this wonderful house for about 20 years so that it can be passed on to the next generation.

The 20-tatami living room has a sunken hearth (currently unavailable) and you can enjoy the old Japanese private house. There are 3 bedrooms, so you can stay with a large number of people, such as family and friends. No meals are provided. You are welcome to use the full kitchen freely. There is a backyard at the end of the dirt floor that continues from the entrance, and you can walk around freely. Hiking in the mountains and strolling around Lake Suwa are also recommended ways to spend your time. It's also great to explore the Suwa area on a rental bicycle.
