Stellar place! Has everything you need and more. Plenty of things to do, especially when you take into consideration the entire game room. The downstairs family room has a great sectional that is perfect for a group movie or game. We really liked the Blackstone, as it can be difficult to cook efficiently for a larger group on a normal range. The location is great, and the free kayaks/paddleboat are tons of fun. Very reasonably priced, as well, especially if you are looking during the off-season.

Great rental for our extended family. Loved the hot tub, large tv, large kitchen - plenty of room for us to spread out.

This Airbnb is gorgeous! Such a warm and cozy space, very luxurious but still felt safe. The host gave very clear instructions in their guide, and accessing everything was very easy; additionally, the host responded incredibly fast when needed. I definitely hope to stay here again!

Viewpoint was enchantingly perfect for our family of four for a long weekend. Our children (6 and 2) were fascinated by the records and CDs, and we had dance parties every afternoon. The bedrooms and game room were perfect for them - table and chairs for coloring, board games and Twister, and a guitar for my husband to entertain them with. The outdoor table served as a perfect stage for their musical performances, and we all loved sitting on the Adirondack chairs on the porch. The grown ups loved the beautiful mug collection, proximity to Fika, easy access to Grand Marais, and the view. I have never felt more at peace than we did at the Virwpoint. We had 7 guys up for a golf trip and this was a perfect fit for what we were looking for. Comfortable beds, kitchen had everything we needed, and the view of the lake was wonderful! Highly recommended if you’re headed this direction with a group or have families with kids!!

The home exceeded all of our expectations! It was much lovelier than the photos and everything we needed to know was explained in writing by the hosts or carefully labeled including light switches, etc. The attention to detail was evident everywhere from the stunning restoration, the quality of the furniture, the art work, the TV placement, the exquisite bedding and towels, the luxuriousness of the pillows and mattresses, and the well-stocked kitchen. Every time any one of us thought “It would be nice if they had…”, it would already be there in a drawer or closet. I will say the stairs to floors two and three were a bit steep, but not unusual for such a home built in 1912. The hosts were easily reachable and very responsive. We hated to leave. It was well worth the price.

It was our 2nd stay at the escape. Requested our stay on very short notice, and Maria quickly gave us access to the house! Once again, the place very clean and comfortable! If we ever get back up in the area, that's the place we will stay! Thank you for everything Maria!

We were in town for a family gathering. This place worked out great for its proximity to our family. There were plenty of beds, all very comfortable with great bedding. The place has numerous levels with stairs up and down. It was fine for our family, but it’s not handicap-friendly. We enjoyed the cowboy theme, coming from the east coast.

This is a modern, comfortable house in a great location! It provided a central headquarters for our family reunion as we golfed, hiked, ate, shopped, and rode bikes. Our host (Nick) struck the perfect balance of being responsive while still respecting our privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This house is a perfect retreat for our family group (baby to grandparents. There are toys for girls and boys, baby equipment, kayaks, a nice beach/dock area, options for outdoor cooking, a fire pit, and a comfortable house. The lake is quiet even on the weekend. The hostess, Nikki, is super accommodating and accessible. We have been here twice and I won’t be surprised if we come back next year.

Beth’s place was a wonderful little break for us. The lake and surroundings were peaceful and beautiful and the cabin was the perfect spot for my busy family of 6! The tree swing and hammocks were a huge hit with my kids and we even braved a canoe ride with a few of them. 😂 We loved sitting out at the fire at nights and having fun s’mores. Beth was super responsive and very accommodating and had some great recommendations for fishing and local places to visit. House was very well stocked, with extras in the kitchen and bedrooms and she even had rain jackets we could use if needed! We will definitely come stay again!

Beautiful home with a beautiful setting. Host was very nice and responsive. We met the owner and he was wonderful, inviting, friendly, and funny. We had a fabulous stay.

We stayed at Jeanne's place as a family to visit my Dad who was moved into hospice care. The space gave our family some much needed space away from the home my Dad is in. Appreciated the toys for the littles. The location was great as it's close to Tami's restaurant and the Dairy Freeze (great little drive in) and to Gomsrud park, which is a really nice spot for the kids. It was a bit chilly while we were there but we still enjoyed the view of the lake from the deck. Word of warning - the stairs going upstairs are pretty steep so caution for little kids and elderly.

This was our second time at this home. We had four senior couples and we were very comfortable. Will be high on our list for a return visit. Thanks

Truly an amazing space. Not only is the house unique and fun, but it’s such a comfortable space. Enough room for a big group without sacrificing the common areas. Plus the pool !!! It was warm and stocked with enough towels and floaties. If you can reserve a date here, do it.

We had a wonderful stay! The home was clean and well-stocked with everything we needed, including plenty of toiletries and fresh towels. A few small things to note: we spotted some ants near the TV and noticed a blue car parked on the property occasionally—probably someone caring for the chickens. It might be helpful to mention that in the listing. On our last night, we saw an unfamiliar car nearby that quickly left when it noticed us, which felt a little unusual but nothing came out of it. When we arrived, the pool vacuum was still in the water. The host kindly let us know we could unplug it ourselves as it was forgotten, but since we didn’t get to it that night, she came by the next morning to take care of it, which we really appreciated. A quick heads-up beforehand would have been even better. Overall, the home was comfortable, and the host was responsive and thoughtful. We’d happily recommend it!

Property was spacious, well maintained, and clean. Host provided clear instructions and was always friendly, proactive and responsive. This definitely contributed to an overall positive vacation experience!

The pool was a huge hit for us! Stayed by the water for three days, nice deck area that had a covered seating area. The backyard felt very private, hardly saw or heard any neighbors. Very spacious in the house, large rooms and bathrooms. Would defiantly stay again!!

Tiffany was extremely responsive and communicated very well! The home was beautiful, especially with the outdoor views. Such a great place to stay at.

The home was perfect for our group. It’s in a convenient location. The driveway was big enough to fit the 5 pickup trucks we had. It was nicely decorated and clean. The games, pool, and park nearby kept us busy. Everything was labeled and organized in the kitchen. There was a first aid kit which came in handy for a bandaid when a kiddo got an owie. The deck is super spacious for a large group. Jared & Amy were great to work with. One of the kids forgot a doll and they offered to ship it to us. That was very kind of them and very much appreciated. We would stay here again.

We had a great stay for a girls weekend. There is a great living room we could all spread out in, and huge kitchen, and a hot tub out back. All the beds were conferable and the space was clean. Kitchen is well stocked.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The home and pool house were well stocked and clean. It felt private even though it's in the city and near attractions like the Mall of America, restaurants, and shopping. Our host was very quick to respond to any questions we had. They even had baby items and gates available for use. We would stay again.
