Hand Built Log Cabin

This cabin was completed in 1940 by previous owner's grandmother with only the help of her horses. The wood was cut from the property. Originally it had no electric or plumbing, we updated it more in 2021 keeping as much original as possible. Rustic cabin has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with walk-in shower only, washer and dryer, full eat in kitchen and living room. On site you can relax watching horses, mini horses, goats, chickens & ducks as well as wild life. You can feed and pet the 🐐 goats.

Accommodates 7 people. 50 minutes from St. Louis If you are looking for a place to stay after attending a nearby wedding or visiting family from out of town, this cabin provides comfortable accommodations without breaking the bank. Many of our guests also use Carpe Diem as a base camp for exploring Meramec Caverns.
