We're a Dutch couple whose lodge is nestled in the mountains of Madarao in Japan. Our lodge provides capacity for a max of 20 guests divided over 5 units. Our cozy, comfortable space makes for a great base to explore the mountains around the region. During winter, we offer private ski/snowboarding lessons, and side and backcountry guiding. We cater to guests during all other seasons too and offer fine dining experiences during your stay. We aim to create the perfect vacation experience for you!

Heidi Apartment

Heidi is an apartment-style room connected to the egg-shaped main lodge, perfect for families or groups. With high ceilings and a spacious living area, it can host up to 8 guests. White wood walls and warm sunlight create a relaxing space. The large loft has two double beds and is accessible by two staircases. The kitchen and large dining table make it ideal for meals or small parties. Two entrances—one from outside and one from the main lodge—make moving around easy. Dog-friendly (optional).

RedGate Lodge 5Rooms (5–15Guests)Directly skislope

This is a private rental of five rooms with a stunning view of Mount Kosha. The facility is directly connected to the slopes of the Romance no Kami-sama Ski Resort. The basic rate covers up to 10 guests, with an additional fee of 5,000 yen per person per night for groups of 5 to 15 guests. Bedding options include beds or futons. For groups exceeding 10 guests, an additional guest count must be added. Please note that the basic rate remains unchanged even if the group is fewer than 10 guests.

Founded in 1979, in the 80.90s, Japan and Naeba were at the peak of the ski boom. It has been a pension for 34 years with a focus on wooden construction, but it closed in 2013. With the increasing number of foreign visitors to Japan in recent years, Japan is attracting attention from overseas as well, and while the style of travel is changing, an increasing number of travelers from all over the world are enjoying "travel" "freely" in search of nature, resources, and individuality.

Tenjin Lodge Minakami, Japanese Style Tatami Room

A family run mountain lodge deep in the Joetsu National Park, 175km from Tokyo and a few hundred meters from Tanigawadake Ropeway and Tenjindaira Ski Resort. The green summers are perfect for Rafting, Canyoning, Hiking and Mountain Biking! Winters see some of the biggest snowfalls in all of Japan, lifts hum from Nov through May and the terrain is amazing. We have rentals, ski instructors, snowshoe tours and more in-house here at Tenjin Lodge

This twin room has delightful views of the valley and surrounding Japanese Alps. It has super comfy futons with its own private ensuite. This style of accomodations is great option for a couple or friends wanting that extra privacy. We are just 100M from the slopes and 50m from the closest of the 13 natural hot water onsens in town. ずっとここに居たいと思わせる、魅力的でユニークな宿泊先です。 スキー場のど真ん中で異世界を味わいたい方、スキー・スノボを存分に楽しみたい方におすすめです。 ※注意点※ 冬季のスキー場OPEN中は、リフト券がないとチェックインができない立地です。サンライズゴンドラ上り線→チロルトリプルリフト下り線に乗り継ぎ、チロルリフトに乗ったところでお電話をしていただく必要があります。電話をいただければ、チロルトリプルリフトを下ったところまでスノーモービルにてお迎えに上がります。 もちろん車で来ることはできませんし、リフト券を買わないと来られません。 日本の電話番号もしくは当館のLINEを登録していないと電話ができないので迎えに行くこともできません。
