We had a wonderful time, surrounded by the nature of Shiga, and we were able to relax from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for the quiet environment, clean room, and warm service. The time spent in this place has brought a gentle space in my daily life. Thank you again for everything. We'd love to come back.

Entire building for rent, maximum 7 people, accommodation in a historic retro old house

ChapmanRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Such a beautiful house in such a beautiful neighborhood with such a kind host. Drove us both too and from the train station, and bought us snacks when the cleaners had to come and stay a little longer than expected during our stay. Other than that (which really wasn’t much of an issue at all), we had one of the most enjoyable and peaceful and well-hosted experiences of our time on Airbnb. If you’re looking for a taste of Japan - of the old ways - look no farther.

Stay by 10 pax!1 min to Biwako Hamabun Takashima

OtisRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Never expected to have such a big house to stay in Japan! The house is very close the Biwa Lake, the surrounding is peaceful. in front of the house you can park two big cars and one K-car. Because of the location you'll have to drive in & out, so not recommend to people who's not driving. But if you are, This is a great place. especially the price is not high!

Quiet retreat surrounded by greenery/Private Japanese Villa

LarissaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We loved to spend 5 nights off the beaten path and enjoyed the calm and spacious villa a lot. There is not much to do in the village and you need a car to get around, but if you are looking for peace and quiet, this is it!

[Accommodates up to 5 people/1 newly built bungalow for rent] Mt. Kegaku, threadbare, ski slopes, Hokkukaido, Yu Lake, Kannon tour, Biwaichi

A very nice host who is active in various fields. They were happy to welcome our family, who was soaked from the rain, and quickly responded to dry our clothes. The wooden-scented house in an old village surrounded by waterways has plenty of space for a family of four, and the kitchen is well-stocked.I think the best part of Biwai is climbing Mt. Shigatake in the early morning, taking in the views of Lake Biwa and Lake Yogo, and then cycling the route of inner Lake Biwa from there. Dear Mr. Horie, Excellent hospitality! I want to stay here again someday!

100-year-old Traditional Japanese house (whole)

AlexRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had such a lovely time in Miayazu, and got to know Meg too. The house is absolutely beautiful, and a real highlight of our trip. But what we enjoyed the most was a morning spent fishing with Meg and Hasushi - I would thoroughly recommend booking this with Meg before you arrive.
