The cottage is in a superb setting on a south facing hillside with panoramic views across miles of fine Yorkshire countryside. It is approximately two miles from the centre of vibrant Hebden Bridge where there is an excellent range of independent shops, restaurants, coffee bars, art décor cinema, theatre and markets. The cottage has been recently refurbished retaining many original features but with all the modern comforts inc a fully fitted kitchen, underfloor heating and a wood burning stove.

The Bolt Hole is a spacious, cosy home from home in the picturesque village of Luddenden, situated between Halifax and Hebden Bridge. This is an ideal stop for a short break or for a longer holiday. This property has secure off road parking for 2 cars - an advantage as parking in the village is very limited and often a problem. The Countryside is favoured by walkers (like us) and cyclists. We can recommend easy and more difficult walks from the property as well as those further afield.

Our lovely little outer house forms part of a grade 2 listed house set in the heart of the beautiful Yorkshire country side on the outskirts of Halifax. Newly renovated, the contemporary space is warm and welcoming with great walks, cycle routes and pubs right on the door step. Thomas and Georgia’s cottage is in a great location for exploring Hebden Bridge and its surroundings. It is beautifully decorated and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Close to shops and restaurants yet very quiet and peaceful. We arrived by train and the station is only a 15 minute walk through the park and along the canal tow path to the property.

Cute little place right next to the National Trust Hardcastle crags great walks. Lovely kitchen everything you need, nice treats, fresh milk, fresh eggs, chocolates, marmalade, bread, bottle of fizz. Lovely games in the Chest if drawers for the whole family. Well equipped Kitchen with everything you need love the orange vibe going to use a bit of that inspiration in my new kitchen!

Lovely place to stay, booked for family travelling from Wolverhampton & Bridlington with young children. Lots of space for the children to run about, immaculately clean, had everything you would need for the weekend. Friendly host who lived next door. The homemade jam was delicious and was enjoyed by all. Would definitely recommended.

Stag Cottage is not only a rare and exceptional stay, it is a living history experience. Beautifully renovated, we marveled at the original beams and other features of Elizabethan home construction, and we thoroughly enjoyed reading all the provided material about Heptonstall and the cottage. Completely captivated! It was nice, of course, to have a thoroughly modern kitchen and bath. Will was the perfect host in every way, and the village of Heptonstall is beautiful and fascinating. Our highest recommendation for this splendid stay!
