Vacation home rentals in Messina

We were two Canadian couples staying for 5 nights (after visiting Milano/Genova), with a car that we rented at Catania airport. We arrivred at 9PM but our host Nando was communicating us and received us in person. Upon arrival, fridge had some complimentary sandwiches, juice drinks and snacks, and a delicious homemade cake. Lovely place, peaceful, spacious, additional to detail, comes as advertised. Beautiful 180 degree view, when sitting outside by the pool, and even from main salon/kitchen. Loved the bedrooms and in particular the high quality mattresses and sheets. Made good use of the washing machine as we had a lot of laundry from our first week in Italy. Nando was very thoughful and proactive in checking in on us and suggesting places to visit and eat at. Good location, about a 10-15 minute drive to Taormina parking and a short drive to get on highway to visit Mount Etna or Syracuse/Ortigia. We had a wonderful stay in Sicily, thank you Nando!

We stayed 2 weeks and it was a great base for exploring the east side of Sicily and Etna. A hire car is essential as the apartment is located in a quiet spot away from the main centres. The apartment itself was spacious and comfortable with great views from the wrap around balcony. The swimming pool was a real bonus - we made use of it most days. Salvatore & Antonio were very helpful and responsive to requests (many thanks!). Highly recommended if, like us, you are looking for a peaceful getaway.

I think this is the most beautiful place I have ever stayed! The gardens were magical full of butterflies and birds, lemons and oranges. The pool was amazing, so long, great for lengths with stunning views. The accommodation was really comfortable and cool. There was a very handy washing machine too. Salvatore and Costanza were perfect hosts, giving us lots of information and food and wine waiting when we arrived. Salvatore recommended the Etna refuge circuit and lent us his guide book, we saw Etna erupting! Thank you for a truly wonderful family stay 😊 we would return in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful stay here! The town can be reached by bus or taxi, but make sure you’re not travelling on a public holiday (like us!) The apartment is tidy and quite spacious, and the balcony is perfect! The kitchen has everything you need with some lovely gifts of local produce left by the host. The town is beautiful and walkable, we came just before fireworks festival and were able to see some amazing local displays of celebration. The bells on the church ring out every 15 minutes between 6am and 10pm, but we were enjoyed the sound. The hosts are so helpful and lovely - really good people Highly recommend

We had a pleasant stay at the host's. She was a good advisor and was very friendly despite our low level of Italian. She kindly offered to take us to the station and brought us eggs! Thank you!

My husband and I booked this beautiful Airbnb at the last minute, and we felt extremely lucky! The house is a recently renovated local property, and exudes charm and authenticity. Carmen was very friendly and communicative, and welcomed us very well. It's rare nowadays to see a host who welcomes you in person and gives you all the tips about the place. Letojanni itself is a charming little town, with great beaches and restaurants. Airbnb's proximity to Taormina and Forza D'agro allowed us to do all the tours possible. Anyway, we made a great choice and highly recommend this Airbnb!

We loved the location. About a 1/2 mile to restaurants and grocery. walking through neighborhoods. Apartment was right next to a small beach where locals go.

This place was the highlight of our vacation! We're sorry we didn't book longer. We were very warmly welcomed and the surroundings are even more beautiful than expected. Clean, cozy, ingeniously furnished and absolutely comfortable. Especially the possibility to cook in the garden was great. Not possible without a car, but that's what makes it... once out and really able to switch off. Anytime again!!!

I have never been more excited to write an Airbnb review. After spending 30 days in this absolutely perfect apartment, I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, everything was seamless. The apartment looks exactly like the photos : modern, spotless, stylish, and stocked with everything you could possibly need. It felt like a true home away from home. The location is beyond convenient. The train station is literally across the street. I could step outside and hop on a train at any time and within a short ride be in Messina, Taormina, or Catania. It gave me so much freedom to explore without stress or planning. The surroundings? Breathtaking. The sea is literally your backyard. Imagine waking up, sipping coffee, and staring out at the endless blue. It’s peaceful, serene, and beautiful at every hour. Francis, the host. We left Giovanni's house, which in the meantime had become our home in Lipari, with a lot of melancholy but also the certainty that we will return. The house is new, equipped with everything you need, with large spaces furnished in a functional way and with great taste. Never hot, never used air conditioning, although it was available. Spacious, bright room, same as the kitchen/living room. But the best part is the magical large terrace where you can experience all the most beautiful moments, from sunrise to sunset. Salina, Filicudi, and Alicudi are there in front of you, surrounded by the magic of the light. Always an enchanting view, but it gives its best in the magic that is renewed differently at every sunset... The owner welcomed us at the port and throughout the period spent there, he was always a kind, present friend, more than willing to satisfy any request or anticipate it. We can only say thank you for these happy days

Wonderful apartment right in the middle of Toarmina. Beautiful bathroom and very comfortable bed Mr and cool AC. Roof top pool has views of both the ancient theatre and mount etna and was about 25 degrees. Responsive host who shared recommendations for restaurants. Sauna on the ground floor takes around an hour to heat up. Little mini mart 5 mins walk away to buy food if you decide to cook. We are in love with Toarmina, thank you for a wonderful stay.

We had a lovely time in a beautiful accommodation. We can only positively rate the accommodation and the friendliness of the host.

Stunning views everyday, in house everything was clean, we were hosted with something to eat for breakfast because we got late. Klaudia as a host is kind and responds within 10 minutes no matter what time it is. She is always there to answer any question and ready to give you the best advice of where to go and what to do. The neighborhood is quiet and filled with local people. Letojanni itself feels really safe and children friendly. Highly recommend 10/10. Already thinking about coming back!

The stay was wonderful. The place is surrounded by greenery and is very quiet, not to mention the breathtaking view! The archaeological area and the sanctuary can be easily reached on foot in a few minutes. A few kilometers away by car, you can reach beautiful beaches. Emanuela was really kind and helpful, she gave me a lot of advice on what to do in the area. Surely the property will be my point of reference for when I return to Tindari!

We had an amazing week at Villa Margherita. We were 10 people from 2 years to 68 years and had a great time together in the beautiful house, patio and by the pool. We had all meals outside at the beautiful patio with the possibility of barbecuing. We also used the charcoal grill in the garden and made delicious meat and fish dishes. The swimming pool and the surrounding area were fantastic and we used it every day. The garden and the views are amazing and gave a special peace. Natale, who lived in the apartment above the villa, was very nice and he cleaned the pool and helped us if we had any questions. Margherita was also very helpful with questions before the trip and she recommended a very nice cook (Giovanni) who had cooking classes for us. Fantastic experience! The villa is beautifully located, a little withdrawn from Santa Teresa Di Riva. It is an advantage to have a car as it is a bit of a walk down to the city. I would recommend visiting Savoca and Taormina. I highly recommend Villa Margherita and a big thank you to Natale

I found this place great. Recently renovated house with modern finishes, cozy, very clean and quiet. It had everything you need, clean sheets, towels, bathroom kits, equipped kitchen and coffee machine with pods, we also found everything you need to have breakfast included. The kitchen is super equipped and in the bedroom there is a TV and also an air conditioner/heat pump that we used, the only downside is that since it was cold, the hot air remained in the bedroom and did not go to the other rooms but otherwise everything was really great. Antonio was really kind and helpful both at check-in and check-out super flexible, he gave us directions and tips on where to dine or have lunch in the area. We really felt right at home. I recommend it

Excellent accommodation! Everything was clean and well maintained, easy to communicate with Fabio. Despite the slow Wi-Fi that was giving headaches when we were watching a movie, it was brilliant place to stay with big parking lot!

A characterful apartment that’s close to the main shopping/nighttime area of the town. It was a perfect home for our family for three nights and then hosts were very helpful and responsive. It’s a slight climb up some steps with the luggage not too far from the nearest parking.

Cute little place in a small town just a few kilometres from the busy roads of Messina. It has everything you need, in the apartment as well as in the town. A restaurant, bar, bakery, gelateria. The room and bathroom feel very spacious. Thank you Giuseppe!

We had a great stay at Alidas Casa Fortuna. If you're looking for a quiet, simple and cosy place for relaxing, this is it. Big bedroom with comfy bed, nice bathroom, well equipped kitchen and cosy livingroom. The house is located in a very private location surrounded by olive-, lemon- and orange trees. So freshly squeezed orangejuice is a good way to start your day. Perfect view to Etna is also included. It's only a short walk to the village, where you can do your food shopping. Walking to Giardini-Naxos is possible in about 20 min. It's a little challenging at first, but once you understand the route, it's easy :) There are also many options with the bus. Alida and her family, who live 2 min. down the hill, were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Alida organised pick-up from Catania airport as we arrived very late, helped us with bustickets, gave us lifts to town, invited us into their beautiful home. All in all, a very good experience and we can only recommend it.
