This unique place has an ambiance all its own. Located a few minute drive from historic old Mesilla and walking distance to a local coffee shop, Mexican restaurant, and a pizza restaurant. Mesilla plaza, and bars are only a few minutes drive away. The building is fully renovated with stainless steel new appliances and dual refrigerated air mini splits, one in the living room, and one in the bedroom. Please note there is a train that occasionally travels near the neighborhood.

I purchased this beautiful home built circa 1869 all Adobe in May 2019 and I want to share it with you! I am living in this home as one of my primary residences but I’m traveling the world and will make it available so you can also enjoy it. Authentic wood beams “vigas” and “latillas”, original kitchen wood floor, painted cement floors (by the previous artist owner), 3 foot thick adobe interior walls. Just steps to the Mesilla Plaza, shops, restaurants!

A spacious outdoor area showcases a desert landscape with gravel and low-lying plants. A large round table is accompanied by a bright red umbrella, offering shade. The casita's entrance features a patio with seating and a welcoming purple trim, enhancing the inviting exterior.

Fenced flagstone patio in back yard fully equipped with gas grill, outdoor fireplace, outdoor dining area and french doors opening from the house. Large front yard fully enclosed. Full front porch creates shade. This house is peaceful but just steps from the fiestas and activities on the historical Mesilla Plaza.

My dream home! As an artist and native Las Crucen splitting time between NYC and New Mexico, I couldn't have imagined a more perfect oasis for both creative inspiration and quiet rejuvenation in the historic heart of Mesilla and southern New Mexico. Built in 1853, as the Mexican customs house prior to statehood in the Gadsden purchase, it doesn't get anymore Old West than this.

A neatly arranged sleeping area features a patterned comforter in earth tones. The bed is framed by two bedside lamps and a decorative mirror above. A colorful bookshelf stands to one side, displaying various items, while a small decorative pillow adds a touch of detail.
