Vacation rentals with a washer and dryer in Mersea Island

Theo’s place is located in a very convenient area where we can easily access to supermarkets, restaurants and the Colchester Town station. Check-in was smooth and instructions were clear. Theo was also very responsive to our questions. Spacious living room, dining room and bedroom and well equipped kitchen. Only downside is sometimes the neighbours are a bit noisy at weekend nights. Overall we had a very happy stay, thank you Theo for hosting us :)

We had a lovely weekend at Walton on the Naze. The apartment is extremely clean, cosy and homely. The location is excellent, close to the beach and High Street.

Staff was very welcoming. Showed us into the room and explained how things worked. Nice quiet area, room was lovely, will definitely be back soon

This accommodation is clean, comfortable and very well equipped. There are lots of lovely local walks and a couple of convenience stores and pubs within walking distance. There are lots location is peaceful with a nice outdoor courtyard garden. Occasionally footsteps can be heard from above the bedroom due to the accommodation being underneath part of the owner’s home.

Lovely cosy flat with everything you needed with lovely surroundings. Julia was a great very friendly host very helpful. Really enjoyed our stay would recommend her flat as a great place to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Robert and Lorraine's house. The flat is right opposite the beach which is amazing. The flat was very clean. Beds were comfortable. There were plenty of clean towels which was very handy. overall a very positive experience.

The Annex was a wonderful place to stay, set within beautiful grounds. Clean and comfortable, the unique property provided a tranquil base from which to explore the stunning landscape. The owners, Malahat and Roger,were helpful and friendly but never invasive. The garden and extensive grounds were amazing. I sat and watched deer, foxes, woodpeckers, red kites, buzzards, and listened to owls, cuckoos, blackcaps and white throats. I left feeling refreshed and somewhat restored.

We really enjoyed our stay. There are lots of restaurants and cafes within walking distance and the beautiful and spacious park is just across the road which was really handy. The apartment is comfortable and uncluttered which suited us and the excellent check-in instructions made this aspect really easy and straightforward. The hosts are really responsive so we wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay here. Having an allocated parking space was the icing on the cake as we were in and out a lot visiting various local attractions. Our favourite things to do were the guided tour of the castle, Mersea Island and the Beth Chatto Gardens. If you want to splash out then we can really recommend booking the tasting menu at Kintsu - absolutely superb.

What a beautiful place to stay - right next to a nature reserve, with the oyster catchers and curlews calling at night and wildlife wandering into the garden. But also very close to pubs, coffee shop and the sea. Great if you like birds, wildlife and peace and quiet.

Comfortable home in peaceful location but near to the beach, very pet friendly. Mersea island is a lovely location. Plenty of lovely pubs within 10min walking distance. Mel is a fantastic host, very friendly and goes out of her way to make your holiday special.

Carol was a most welcoming host at her beautifully appointed and decorated house. Plenty of space, extremely comfortable and everything we needed. Carol was responsive with messages and provided some ideas of places to visit. All in all we had a great time and would recommend.

Visited for a wedding nearby, great stay and Melanie was flexible with check in times.

Stayed here with 10 guys. There is ample room to sit together to have dinner, a large enough lounge for everyone to relax and all spaced that require less clothing is very private and not overlooked. The upper balcony is shared with a bedroom from 16A, but I assume that is not in use when the place is booked. Driveway is shared with adjacent property but you can still fit 4 cars. Hot tubs extremely well maintained. Furniture is in excellent condition. Furnishings are modern and tasteful. All kitchen appliances work with ample crockery and cutlery. Beds are very comfortable and allow flexible sleeping arrangements. Bathrooms were very clean.

We had a great stay, the house was stocked with everything we could need. Love the extra touches of brownie/bread/milk etc left for us. Great for little children too, use of cot, high chair and baby cutlery provided was much appreciated! Enclosed garden and private driveway are a bonus as well. Very quick responses when we had a couple of queries. We hope to stay again on future trips to Colchester. Thanks Rob and Louise!

This home and host is a little hidden gem of west mersea. The house is impeccably clean and cosy and honestly felt like home from home I slept well all 3 nights which is rare for me when away from home. The home has just about everything you could think of in it making life so much easier all round. Everything went smoothly thanks to Jayne who was very accommodating and helpful from the moment of booking until leaving. Would definitely want to stay again in the future. Thank you Jayne.

This was our second stay at this wonderful property. The location is amazing and the area is so peaceful. The garden is an absolute sun trap. The property was so clean, the beds are really comfortable, lots of little extras that make it a complete home from home. We are already discussing our next visit, this will be a regular rental for our family, we love it.

Great location for a wedding we went too. Apartment was exactly as described and what was shown in the photos. Really lovely cosy little place to Stay if doing something local. We have family in Ipswich so this will be a great place to go back to if we aren’t able to stay with family. Thank you Azuka and Charlotte for having us.

What a fantastic stay! Kim was very communicative in the booking and check in process. The flat was spotless on arrival and she had left lots of treats for the stay with coffee/tea/condiments/spices. It felt just like a home away from home. The location was fantastic for walking everywhere as it's so close to the train station. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could!

We had a lovely weekend getaway at Tim’s place. I booked it very last minute and he was quick to get all the information to me to ensure a smooth entrance to the property. The flat itself is right on the beach with gorgeous views for your morning coffee! The flat is quiet and cosy and has everything you need for a relaxing trip. Thanks guys!

Great weekend in Colchester visiting friends the flat itself is very clean and tidy I found it very quiet and peaceful in the evenings close to a large supermarket about 10 minutes drive from the town centre and about 30 minutes from the beach I would happily stay here again

I booked the apartment for cousins to stay in and they loved it. They were full of praise for the apartment, the cleanliness, the welcome pack and location. They would definitely book again.
