Our group of 4 had a wonderful stay at the window to the lake. Beautiful views also to the surrounding Tremezzo and mountains along with a very comfortable stay. We travelled to other locations on Lake Como and even had a night in cooking dinner and drinking wine from the local market. Thanks to Elena E Mara for a great stay!

Wow. One of the best air bnbs that we have ever stayed in. The place is even better than the photos. The outside space is private with an amazing view of the lake. Laglio was a perfect place for us, quiet and authentic. We took the bus and ferries to get around as we were without a car. As long as you are organised and ready for a busy bus it’s completely doable without a car. Nico’s food recommendations were all excellent. Our favourite place was the family butchers / cafe close to the apartment. We went there nearly every day for drinks, steak, meats and cheese. We also cooked some basic meals at the apartment which we recommend as it’s a lovely space. Nico and Wendy were amazing hosts, so helpful, responsive and accommodating. Thoroughly recommend this place and we are already looking at their other properties for another holiday! Book now ☺️

This home is incredible. The view is stunning. But it is a decent hike up to the house. If you come by ferry it would take 30 mins from terminal to get to the home with many steps. Very challenging with a heavy suitcase. If you come by car it will take approximately 10-15 mins. Lots of stairs. Pack light if you’re able to. The home itself is over 3 levels by a spiral staircase. Bring light luggage if possible. The deck is so nice to spend time on. Lovely, memorable home with a friendly helpful host. Will never forget this beautiful place

Een heerlijk huisje in een authentiek dorp. We hebben genoten van het prachtige uitzicht vanaf het terras op de lekkere bank, heerlijk geslapen op de goede bedden (ook de sofabank) en de regendouche was ook super. Het contact met Kathi en Ivan was zowel snel als heel vriendelijk, gebruik vooral hun reisgids want daar staan hele goede aanbevelingen in. Pognana is een pareltje, je kunt mooie wandelingen maken naaf boven en op het 'strand' beneden zit je in no time. Bar Sonia boven is heel goed en gezellig, je bent er zo een vaste klant. Ook Marvin, onze hond, heeft genoten, er was nog een verrassing voor hem bij aankomst, heel lief! Je zit heerlijk privé in het huisje, soms hoor je de bovenburen, maar dat was niet storend. Van Bar Sonia hoor je overigens niets. Heel erg bedankt dat we mochten blijven en hopelijk tot ziens!

Eros and Daniel were the most incredible hosts. The house was beautiful, spotless, and felt like a true escape. Fresh towels and sheets, no bugs, and the private garden with lake views was absolutely stunning. We were walking distance to amazing restaurants, a market, a local bar, and a gelateria with some of the best gelato we’ve ever had. It was also an easy cab ride to Bellagio to catch the ferry to Tremezzo. Eros and Daniel went above and beyond for us. At one point we couldn’t figure out how to turn the stove off and they arrived within minutes to help. Their kindness and care made this one of the best stays we’ve ever had. We wish we could have stayed longer. This was a perfect experience in every way. 10 out of 10.

This home is in an outstanding location overlooking the lake and Lugano. We were blown away by the view from every window. The location was very peaceful, and the home was extremely well-stocked. We enjoyed coffee on the balcony or the covered deck every day (depending on how hot it was!). The home is located a quick drive to downtown Lugano, and a short drive to the top of Monte Bre (highly recommend!) and to Gandria (also highly recommend). We fell in love with Lugano and the surrounding area thanks in part to this house…we will definitely be back.

What a great place! It’s a century old historic building that is right on the water and feels like a villa!! Even though it is an old building, it has been modernized for today’s traveler, with USB ports in the bedrooms etc. The location is great, walking distance to the ferry, bus, restaurants. Frederick is always available to answer questions. If we come back to Lake Como, I hope this place will be available for us again! Grazie Mille!!

The “Hydrangea Villa” at the very top of Villa Monti was a dream to stay in. The views were outstanding and all the windows open to hear the birds singing and allow cool breezes to flow thru (there is an excellent A/C system in this upper space as well). The downstairs bedroom & bath was just as clean, but not as cool as the “tower”. Communication pre-arrival was prompt and the onsite manager “MG” is friendly, attentive, knows Varenna well and gave us great suggestions for dinners & hikes ( do not miss hiking to the cemetery, waterfall and castle)! He carried our ( heavy!) bags up the 99 steps to our room- thank you MG!! The pool, although small was very refreshing and the area around it so pleasant to sit and gaze over Lake Como while drinking wine. I would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend Villa Monti to anyone traveling to beautiful Varenna.

Absolutely wonderful stay and amazing host. The apartment was exactly as described and the views and location were perfect. We loved sitting on the balcony, looking over the water and watching and hearing the people below. There are 2 wine bars just outside the door and also many restaurants. Alberto picked us up at the station and explained the apartment and area. Giorgio’s kindness was immeasurable. The trains had unexpectedly stopped running and he personally booked our transportation back to Milan and drove us to meet a new express bus. We could have never done this without him, as this was unpublished at the time. What a wonderful man! Varenna is a beautiful small village and there are many outstanding restaurants and things to do. Our highlight was taking a cooking class with Chef Marco, Chef’s Table, and later dining at his new restaurant, La Scarpetta. We recommend visiting the villas in town, taking the Taxi Boat to Villa Balbianello and hiking to the waterfall in Fiumelatte.

Wow, Deborah’s place is incredible. The patio is perfect for glass of wine after exploring or dinner cooked in. Great location just steps away from the ferry, grocery store and town, yet felt quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. We arrived around 7pm and easily found free parking nearby in the white painted line spaces near the ferry. Highly recommend.

The place itself is very comfortable and had everything you need. The view of lake Como is stunning and location was great. Easy walk to shops, bus and ferry station. Denis is very proactive and helped us with finding another accommodation due a mix up of dates on our behalf. Would highly recommend to stay at this lovely apartment.

The greeting upon arrival was excellent, we were offered an upgrade as some guests had cancelled due to weather, a nice gesture! The appartment was well furnished, clean and very comfortable. The location is excellent. Far enough from the busy touristic Bellagio but close enough to walk. The ferry pick up is just steps away. The grounds are immaculate and large enough to get a good run in every morning (5km) track style staying on the stone path that twirls the 42 hectar property. The grounds allow you great views of Tremezzo and Villa Carlotta accross the Lake and you can swim if the tempersture permits on the stairs that access the Lake. This is really a great place to stay! Wir haben eine Woche in der Unterkunft von Mara und Marco verbracht. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit, die Aussicht war wunderbar und die Tipps von Mara goldwert. Wir hatten in der Küche alles was wir brauchten und es war außergewöhnlich sauber. Nicht mal Staub in den Schränken gab es. Es gibt einen Parkplatz auf dem Grundstück und nicht an der Straße - somit haben wir uns auch um unser Auto keine Sorgen gemacht. Wir schließen uns einigen der Bewertungen an, dass das Bett nicht so bequem war und die Couch ebenfalls. Auch, dass es kein Internet gibt sollte einem bewusst sein - wir hatten aber mobile Daten somit war das kein Problem. Wenn einem das (so wie uns) nicht wichtig ist hat man hier auf jeden Fall eine tolle Zeit! Wir würden wieder kommen.

This is a one of a kind airbnb - an extremely beautiful home. Great for a romantic trip. If you are planning to do significant travel in between towns, it is a bit more difficult location-wise as it is a ~20-25 minute walk (no sidewalk) to Torno for ferries and taxis are hard to come by, but you can plan your day around the ferry times. Monica was very responsive and made check-in easy. Would stay here again.

Emplacement parfait pour se déplacer uniquement à pied et en bateau Proche du port ( 2 min à pied) et des restaurants Terrasse avec vue magnifique et coucher de soleil sur le lac. Double vitrage qui filtre bien le bruit de la ville mais l’appartement reste en hyper centre. Garage fermé à disposition

Awesome spot! Stayed here for one night for our honeymoon trip. Great view, easy access to great restaurants, beautiful area to walk around, and super friendly hosts. Would definitely stay here again.

Wir haben uns bei Sonja vom ersten Empfang heimisch gefühlt. In der Wohnung fehlte es uns an nichts. Sie ist vollständig und für körperlich eineschränkte Gäste ausgestattet, bis hin zum Nähzeug und kleinen Gesellschaftsspielen. Eine familiäre Atmosphäre haben wir auf dem gesamten Gelände gespürt, mit Spielsachen und -geräten für Kinder. Sonja war uns gegenüber immer verbindlich und hilfsbereit. Ein Aufenthalt, den wir schon heute zu unseren schönsten Urlaubsunterkünften zählen und uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen können.

Super charming home with absolutely stunning views of Lake Como better seen in person. The amenities were wonderful and the hosts were so very friendly, attentive and helpful. Highly recommend staying here! Also, be sure to book any transportation ahead of time.

Enrica (AKA Kikka) is a delightful woman who cares about her guests and does everything to make them feel at home. She responded very quickly to any of our questions and needs. She had great suggestions for restaurants, activities and site seeing outings, all listed in an informative book on the kitchen table. The view from the room is magical, almost beyond description, as you look out on to Lake Como both day and especially night! My partner & I whole heartedly recommend you consider Enrica’s attic for you lodgings at Lake Como! Cameron June 2025

We had a wonderful stay in Bellagio and couldn’t have asked for a better host. Alessia was incredibly kind, responsive, and so helpful in planning our visit. She offered great recommendations and made everything feel easy and stress-free. The house itself was absolutely gorgeous, with stunning views, thoughtful touches, and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was how she even came to meet us at the ferry and helped with our luggage, which we truly appreciated after a long day of travel. We felt so well taken care of and would highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting!

Giovanni was a fantastic host! He is extremely responsive, proactive and always willing to help. We had a number of questions about the area throughout our week long stay and was happy to assist however he could. The unit itself is absolutely beautiful with unbelievable views… even better in person! There are a number of great restaurants within walking distance (the Bar across the street was particularly great for breakfast!). We would recommend having a car while you are there as the ferry service is a bit frustrating to navigate (especially as a non-local). Parking is paid during the high season, but usually easy to find a spot (there is a small lot directly across the street). Couldn’t recommend this place enough, Giovanni is a great host.

Die Kommunikation auch schon im Vorfeld war sehr freundlich und die Anreise war somit einfach und entspannt. Wir wurden, als wir ankamen, ganz herzlich in Empfang genommen. Die Wohnung ist toll und wir fühlten uns sofort sehr wohl. Es ist alles durchdacht und fehlt an Nichts. Das habe ich bisher selten erlebt. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder und ich kann diesen Ort zu 100% weiterempfehlen.
