We had a fantastic stay at Tim’s place! The location was perfect – just around the corner from local amenities and right in the heart of town. It was also only about 10 minutes to the forest and around 30 minutes to Whitby, which made day trips really easy. The hot tub was spotless and ready to use as soon as we arrived, and we were greeted with a lovely bottle of Prosecco – such a thoughtful touch. Tim was an incredibly responsive and understanding host throughout our stay. We’ll definitely be back in the future

Lovely place to stay plenty of local places to take the dog for a walk and within a 20-25 minute drive you could access numerous other places and towns to visit. Lovely stay and place the hot tub was nice to relax in after long days.

We had a wonderful stay at Greg's home. Ray, who showed us round gave us the perfect welcome and explained everything to us. The photos looked fantastic but it's even more beautiful in person. Amazing facilities, very clean, and every single bedroom was lovely. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need to cook a big meal, there was a huge supply of tea and coffee and they even provided milk and biscuits! The hot tub was a welcome addition, incredibly well maintained, worked perfectly and lovely and warm by the time we came to use it. It's just the perfect home for entertaining. We visited as a family of six adults and thought it was brilliant, from the enormous TV to the boardgames and Sonos system. There was just so much room - perfect for small children too. The weather was awful but we didn't mind staying in because the house was so beautiful. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

Such a lovely place. The hosts thought of all the extra little details and communication was great. Welcome drink, bread, eggs and milk were a very nice extra touch. It’s actually even nicer than it looks in the pictures. Walkable pub/restaurant so no cooking was required but a well equipped kitchen if you do want to cook. A tablet that explained how everything operated as well as things to do in the local area. A quiet and relaxing place that I would definitely return to.

We have just had a fantastic stay at The Lamp Post. We were absolutely blown away by the accommodation. Steve and Andrea have thought of absolutely everything. The whole place is luxury and pristine. The hot tub is so easy to use and definitely an extra added bonus to what is a beautiful place to stay. Thank you so much - we will definitely be returning!

We had a fantastic stay here for 4 nights. It was beautifully clean and had everything and more we needed. Such lovely hosts, very responsive should you need them. Great location! Such an easy drive to a lot of places. We visited Whitby, Scarborough, Pickering, Thornton Le Dale and more! All under 1 hours drive away. Cottage is so homely and very welcoming 😊 Amazing that each room has their own en-suite. Beds are so comfy! Downstairs bedroom was great for us with someone in the party having mobility issues. Games room is a fabulous touch! Sauna and hot tub both very clean. Highly recommend to stay here. Thanks for a wonderful stay 🥰

We were lucky enough to stay at the Nook this weekend and couldn’t have asked for more. Wayne and Dave are so thoughtful with the attention to detail for guests to enjoy and really go the extra mile with thoughtful treats on arrival and ensuring you have everything you need. Really enjoyable stay. Everything was perfect, and I would return if I were back in the area. The location was peaceful, private, and surrounded by beautiful nature — exactly what I was hoping for. The space was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway.

Excellent stay in Pickering, the house is exactly as described and more! Very well equipped and a real home from home. It is on one of the main roads but as others have said the thoughtful ear plugs made all the difference and we had no problem finding parking every day. This is a fantastic base for exploring the local area. Highly recommended

Beautiful cottages, well appointed, well maintained & spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds & peaceful location. We couldn’t have expected any better & we had a lovely relaxing stay. Great location for any events at The Oakwood, Ryther. Joanne & David are super helpful, friendly and responsive.

This was our second stay and we cannot fault the cottage. Immaculately clean, and a lovely welcome hamper with the cakes are always a lovely gift to arrive to. We will definitely be back Thanks for having us.

Had a great stay at the bungalow. It was well equipped and the outside area was lovely to sit in and was secure for our Dog to go out in. Great location in a quiet beautiful area where you could sit and relax in the garden. We enjoyed the beautiful walks Rebecca had suggested by the river and in the woods. Also enjoyed visiting Beningbrough national trust which was round the corner. Rebecca made us very welcome with treats on our arrival for both us and Honey, she gave us very clear guidance on everything we needed to know and directions prior to our arrival. She also gave us great, clear information for Honey as well as recommendations for walks and dog friendly pubs/restaurants. We will definitely be returning for another visit in the future.

The place is just perfect for us. It is in the middle of nowhere, with amazing views out to sea and surrounded by open, rolling fields and woodland, full of wildlife. The hosts have done a great job and and are lovely people to deal with. The place has everything a couple could need for a break. It is all good quality and very much to our liking. There were lots of nice touches, such as a freshly baked cake and local fresh milk together with tea and coffee. The fresh flowers and a birthday card for my wife, made her day! We are planning our next visit already!

Lovely and peaceful, the accommodation was very homely, the shower and the huge bath was amazing, the bath towels were lovely and soft, I would recommend this lovely home to anyone who wants to visit North Yorkshire, we visited Scarborough, York and Whitby. My 2 Labradors Betsy and Barney thoroughly enjoyed the beach at Scarborough and Whitby. Most of the areas we visited welcomed dogs, which was amazing. There is a nice shopping centre called Monks Park, half an hours drive but worth the drive. There are some lovely restaurants there also. Would not recommend the Indian in Malton, very disappointing but the Indian in Pickering called Spice 4 U was very nice and reasonably priced. Beautiful and cosy little cottage in a picturesque village a 15/20 minute drive from York. We stayed in winter &, besides anything else, the log burning fire alone made it ultra cosy whilst the winds outside blew. The cottage had all the amenities for us to feel at home, including a very good shower and full kitchen. Rich was a very friendly and responsive host who was more than willing to accommodate our request to bring our dog too. Thank you very much for letting us stay!!

Lovely, quiet cottage just outside Skipsea. Plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 small dogs. Very clean and tidy. Well equipped and comfortable. Andrew provided clear instructions and was very responsive. Because we have elderly dogs we could have done with the outside area being more directly accessible, but it didn't spoil our enjoyment or the dogs! thank you

We had the most wonderful stay. We searched many airbnbs and were really taken by the peaceful location, and the quality and care that was put into making it a 5* experience. It was importantly very clean, we had a lovely welcome basket, and the hosts were very helpful and responsive. We would def stay again xx

Had a lovely stay in Millington. The accommodation was comfortable and created a relaxing environment. Nice touch to provide fruit juice and snacks as well as all the kitchen facilities one needs. Highly recommend this Airbnb. Thank you for providing such super accommodation.

The Granary is a beautiful and cosy place to stay that is accessible to many fantastic places such as Dalby Forest and the coastline. The accommodation is beautiful and we were made to feel very welcome where nothing was too much trouble. The animals were an added bonus. We have thoroughly enjoyed an all too brief, relaxing stay at Tarrs Yard. From entering the charming cottage, to leaving, one can't fail to be impressed by all that Lizzie and Andy have so stylishly created. The helpful, informative folder inside the cottage provides for guests' range of interests and enables visitors to capitalise on the hosts' wealth of knowledge and experience of the area. We can't wait to return and anticipate discovering more of what this area affords, whilst assured of a restful, peaceful property to daily return to. It was a great place for our family to stay. Jane and Chris were very helpful. The cottage was very clean, there is a nice enclosed garden space with a table and chairs. The cottage is close to York (15 mins to the park and ride). We would definitely book this cottage again.

Judi’s cottage is perfect in every way. With high quality furnishings, it’s well presented, in excellent condition, spotlessly clean and in a very peaceful location. Whilst it’s close to the main house, the cottage has it’s own private entrance and garden space, with the hosts being very respectful of guest privacy. The gardens are amazing and a great place to unwind. The location of the cottage makes an ideal base for visiting the main attractions in North Yorkshire and beyond. We would be delighted to stay here again on our next visit to the area.
