Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Matten bei Interlaken

We had a wonderful stay at this mountain chalet with stunning views. Perfectly located and easy to reach Grindelwald via train and only 15min to Interlaken by car. Great Look and feel of the house and Wikke was very helpful at all times.

This place is amazing. The property is big with all the amenities and a great garden. The 3 bathrooms make the stay very convenient. It is located very close to the lake and lucerne city center. The owner, Giuseppe, is friendly, provided all needed instructions and set up the cot for us. There is also one parking spot available. Definitely a great stay in Lucerne.

Aldo was great and his recommendations very accurate to what we needed. I loved that he communicated with us since the first moment we reserved and was also sharing pictures and sending clear instructions on our arrival.

For 6 of us, it is a great place to stay. You will not have an issue at all if you have your own transportation to go around, which is what we did during the 3 nights there. We cooked dinner for all three nights for 6 of us at the house and enjoyed the view. We have already missed this house now as we are in Interlaken for another 4 nights with a different style of Airbnb. After sharing our photos and experience of the house with my sisters, they are interested in booking the same house for their future trip to Europe.

We had a lovely stay at Riad’s - easy check in, extremely clean home and a very responsive host. We really appreciated the amenities, which included a washer, dishwasher and a Dyson hairdryer among others (have to note this in particular, as many hotels have weak / inefficient hair dryers, so to have a Dyson while traveling, as at home, is a game changer). Pictures do not do the view justice - the lake and surrounding mountains make for a lovely milieu. Highly recommend & would love to return someday!

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at this lovely Airbnb cottage. The location was peaceful and scenic, yet just a 30-minute drive from popular destinations like Interlaken and Lauterbrunnen. The host family was incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. They were also extremely responsive and attentive to any amenity requests, which made the stay even more comfortable. If visiting in summers, it would have been more comfortable if they could provide with fans in the rooms. Overall, it was a very pleasant and memorable experience — would highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting the area!

The location is simply breathtaking and a perfect spot to enjoy a relaxing vacation. The house is very nicely decorated and every small details is thought of, that you see only in architecture magazines. To be honest it is a truly hidden gem. I strongly recommend staying at this accommodation and encourage you to be mindful to the effort of the host. This and accommodation like this is the reason why I love Airbnb.

If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with stunning views, this cabin is perfect! It’s cozy, secluded, and ideal for those who want to disconnect and enjoy nature. Janis provided detailed instructions, which were crucial since we arrived at night in thick fog. (Make sure to use Google Maps, as Waze led us down paths not meant for cars causing us to turn around in sketchy conditions.) The welcome basket was an incredibly thoughtful touch that made us feel welcomed and at home. The cabin’s simplicity was just what we needed—no distractions, just the beauty of nature all around. It’s well-equipped, but if you’re visiting in cooler weather, knowing how to make a fire is important to stay warm. The surrounding area is great for hiking or relaxing with a book, and the breathtaking views made the stay unforgettable. We left feeling refreshed and more connected to nature. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a tranquil experience!

The house is very big for our family. It is so clean and organized. It is a few houses down to a grocery store and a bus stop takes us straight to a Interlaken OST train station every day. It is a walking distance to lake Brienz. It is so convenient.

The house is set in a truly beautiful location, offering stunning views in every direction. Everything about the property was simply perfect — impeccably clean, thoughtfully organized, and incredibly cozy. The host, Christine, was exceptionally responsive and friendly, making our stay even more enjoyable. We cherished every moment spent there and will always hold dear the memories we made during our stay. Thank you so much, Christine!

Margrit was really thoughtful, knowing it was my husband's birthday, and specially prepared a birthday cake, which made us feel very touched.The house was very clean, the balcony was large and comfortable, and we cooked a cheese fondue on the balcony, a very cozy evening.Thank you very much for Margrit's care, we have great memories!

Reto is super friendly and apparently speaks many languages perfectly! The kitchen is not only very pretty, combining antique and charming furniture with very good quality recent appliances (induction stove, futuristic extractor hood, all necessary utensils available, magnificent fridge… all impeccably clean). It's hard to go back to our modest city apartment. 😅 We didn't miss anything, it's also possible to eat outside. The containers for the trash are very close, no problem without a car. Same for the bathroom, comfortable and generously supplied with towels of different sizes and highly appreciated basic products. The whole place is extremely cozy and comfortable, very welcoming and warm. We hope to return soon! And the area is absolutely fantastic, we had the chance to do magical hikes and hope to be able to come back to Reto's in winter!

Simply beautiful views from all angles. Lovely place and would stay again.

The house is located in a super location where there is no noise and no neighbors nearby. We spent 4 days in this house in the middle of April, the weather was fine, we served the table outside, walked a lot, bathed in a warm bathroom that stands in the courtyard. It snowed on the last day and it was beautiful too. Many thanks to the hosts who were always in touch and always promptly answered questions. I also want to note that the house is very functional and it is convenient that you can buy essential products on the spot.

David is responsive, caring and easy to communicate with. It is a magical place, eco-co-responsible, conducive to disconnection, walking and for those who wish introspection. Find your scouting soul in this enchanting place in nature. In addition, he himself thought of this construction because of his profession, so the place embodies his values. I recommend it 300%, you just have to be aware that depending on your phone operator, only text messages will work well☺️. Congratulations David for creating this place.

A rustic with top quality. Not too much and not too little. Tastefully and stylishly furnished. We felt SUPER comfortable. Unfortunately, the stay was too short ....... but we will come back 100%. Bravo Fabio!

Beautiful, lovingly decorated, small cabin high up in the mountains. We had a wonderful time hiking and climbing with our young children. It is very quiet on the Alp when the chairlift no longer runs in the evening. Aldo was very friendly and helpful. Even when it came to organizing luggage transportation. Great to really drive down. One of the best places I have lived.. in the lap of mountains. Awesome views, Bali styled houses, calm. you feel like not to go anywhere and just spend the whole day looking the at the mountain. on of my best AirBnB experience!!
