Exeter St Thomas

Stuart and Nicola made me feel very welcome. Friendly hosts and helpful when I needed to get to a particular place. Stuart made me breakfast, which was a treat, and Nicola’s homemade jam and marmalade was delicious. A quiet, comfortable place to explore the nearby quay and city centre.

Room in centre of exeter

Susanna is a wonderful host. She went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable. She gave several very good suggestions about places to see. If I were to come again in this area, I would definitely come back here and pick the largest room, which is cooler in the heat of summer.

Family Room in Guest Suite with Private Bathroom

OlgaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We loved this little room. The bathroom is outside the room but it is private, so we didn't mind. The kitchen is big, beautiful and well-equipped. I wouldn't recommend this place to someone who has trouble climbing steepish stairs, but we didn't have an issue with this. The room is lovely, but the roof is slanted above the bed, so you have to bend over to access it. This was a bit uncomfortable and I can imagine some guests finding it inconvenient, but for us it wasn't a big issue. When inside, we spent our time sitting on the floor playing games and cards, and there were some nice big bean bag chairs to use for this purpose. The location is great, Exeter town centre is about a 15-minute walk away, so we never had to use our car. One really convenient feature for us was the availability of an EV charger in the driveway. Peter charges less than the going rate in town, so we could charge up easily before we had to leave town. Overall, it was a really nice and comfy stay, I'd recommend!

Great communication from booking. Sian had good recommendations for places for me to visit whilst staying in Exeter and surrounding areas. Both Sian and Terry are lovely and made me feel welcome in their home. The room had everything as described, exactly what I needed for my stay.

Double Room in Friendly Home @ Nyumbani

SteveRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Nyumbani means 'home', but in some dialects it has a stronger and deeper meaning. A truly friendly and homely stay. Everything was perfect, all you needed to know was pointed out, or on information pages. A friendly welcome from Jules and Marley (her dog). He is very sweet and friendly. If I need to stay in the area again I'll definitely book here. Highly recommend

University & City Centre 5 minutes/free parking

Ginny was a very gracious and welcoming host but was also careful to give us space and to let us enjoy her wonderful home. Exactly as described in the details the house is absolutely gorgeous, beautifully furnished and cared for. Beds were very comfortable and the little touches such as a simple breakfast provided much appreciated. We stayed for 2 nights for our daughters graduation and the location was perfect, 10 minutes walk to campus and 10 minutes in the other direction into the centre of town. Would highly, highly recommend.

Blue room - Exeter

ElodieRating, 5 stars5 days ago
A lovely room in a charming house 20 minutes from the city center (by foot) and only a five-minute walk from some good restaurants. Everything was clean and comfortable. Joanne is the kindest host, although the master of the house remains Dilly, the most sociable and welcoming cat in England! I would definitely recommend this accomodation. Fair price for the quality of the service.
