The beautiful forest is rich in wildlife and has plenty of mushrooms and berries. On the property, a little below the cottage, there is another 19th-century house that is inhabited year-round. In the summer, the meadows may be grazed by horses or other animals.

The house was freshly renovated in 2021 and is suitable for smaller groups who want simple days in a beautiful environment. The cottage is located between Borås, Gothenburg and Varberg, all of which can be reached in less than an hour by car. Two lakes are within walking distance. Sandsjön has a dock and sandy beach. Öjasjön has a simpler swimming area but is calm and beautiful. There are plenty of trails for those who want to walk or run.

Unique pigsty outside Borås

A quarter of an hour outside Borås in Fritsla, this brick building was a pigsty 100 years ago. Here you can enjoy nature and Häggån, which flows 10 meters from the house. It is a quiet area with two other residential buildings a few hundred meters away. The house consists of a single large living room of 100 m2 with kitchen, dining area and sofa area with fireplace. Welcome to this newly renovated and spacious holiday home in the countryside outside Öxabäck! Here you live in the countryside with plenty of space both indoors and outdoors. Nice hiking trails, walking paths and swimming and fishing lakes are located in the nearby area. Large patio at the back of the house with beautiful views of pastures and forest. Here you can relax in the countryside, while being close to both GeKås in Ullared (35 minutes), Borås (just under 60 minutes) and Gothenburg (just over 60 minutes).

The house is located with the forest just around the corner and with Storån's rich wildlife in front. A great spot for recovery and reflection. The house is completely renovated on the inside and we will eventually also renovate the outside. Bed linens and shower towels are not included but can be added for SEK 120/person.
