Vacation rentals with lake access in Manawatū-Whanganui Region

It was a great clean place and I would stay there but Airbnb stop inundating my email for a survey. I don't so surveys, the only time I do them is if the place was bad. But the constant emails for surveys is really annoying.

Sarah was a wonderful host and her place felt like home. We had everything we needed for a week in Taupo. Close to a shopping market and the walking path on the lake, the place was quiet and peaceful.

Was a comfortable stay with everything we needed. Exactly as described as an older style of property with furnishing that matched. Nice bedding and a good night sleep. Great location to the town and lake.

Such an amazing place to stay, love the open plan and natural lighting throughout. lovely view of the lake and the Kokomea Village(shopping centre) is only a few minutes away. Although we had issues with the internet during our stay for the duration we appreciated the efforts and communication our hosts tried to provide us with. Highly recommend staying here

What a fantastic place! We had the Easter long weekend here and had a lovely time. Place was perfect with great views of the lake, well kitted out and clean. The owners were extremely communicative. Would book here in a flash!

We just had the most restful 10 days The house has an amazing view of the lake it’s peaceful and is equipped with everything you could possibly need and more. The house is very warm and very modern. It is as advertised. We were only 20 minutes from Taupo so when we wanted a bit more action we were not far away. A great stay. We would definitely stay again.

Phillipa was a friendly and helpful host, we immediately felt at home with her. The BnB was very cosy and warm and comfortable. We all slept well, the area was quiet and felt nice and secure. Great place to stay very accessible for the walking and riding around the lakefront. Also walkable to the shops.

We had such a lovely and relaxing stay at Irene’s apartment. She is super attentive and the house was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. Such an amazing location so close to the water and a short walk from the shops Acacia Bay has to offer. Would definitely 100% recommend. Thank you so much for having us, Irene.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful home ….. our hosts Marki and Chris were just wonderful and everything about the space and the surroundings was top notch. The furnishings, decor, attention to detail, lovely treats and overall vibe of the home was very special …. Walking distance to the most beautiful little bay, surrounded by nature was awesome. Would thoroughly recommend!!!

Awesome cosy place with awesome views! You can see the lake, a mountain, the Taupo town lights at night. Would highly recommend for any couple looking to spend some time away in NZ.

We travelled from Wellington, Zara was very flexible with timing and instructions were clear to follow. House and caravan were very comfortable, equipped with everything we needed, clean and neatly arranged. Everyone loved the place. Our stay was very comfortable. Lovely cosy place, beautiful surroundings and a helpful host

We really enjoyed our stay here. Great location, walking distance to lake front. We loved the bach feel and admired the decor - ample books, DVDs and family board games to keep you entertained, and a classic table tennis table! Clean, tidy home to enjoy.

Rebecca's place is a lovely 2 bedroom house with a sunny deck. Just a minute or two walk down the street you arrive lakeside to stunning views. We enjoyed the use of the free kayaks and spending a full day in Motuoapa bay. We checked out Rebecca's food recommendations and had yum fish and chips from Challenge and a delicious lunch at The Liquorice Cafe. The winter nights were cosy with the heatpump on. We thought Rebecca's place was excellent value for money and were delighted to have our wee fox terrier share in the adventure. Definitely recommend this escape from bigger towns to a peaceful, pretty house in this wee bay.

Relaxing stay in a beautiful, cosy place. Comfortable bed. Nice shower with good water pressure. Quiet surroundings. Alexandra generously provided lots of complimentary food like snacks, fruit, milk, breakfast cereal etc as well as tea and coffee. Even comfy bath robes were provided. It felt like luxury but at an affordable price!

Great place to stay right by the lake. Easy to get to Taupo from the house.
