Cabin vacation rentals in Mammoth Cave

Probably the best air bnb experience any of us had ever had. Felt like we were at a friend’s place vs a rental… the house is incredibly well stocked and comfortable, from the kitchen to the linens and activities and games. The various outdoor spaces were a dream and even though it rained all weekend we were able to enjoy the outdoors. The house is beautiful, the kids LOVED the bunk room (the secret aspect was so cool!). We hope to be back, and wish the owners lots of success with their new property. It was awesome!

We absolutely loved our get away to the Hillbilly Hill-ton. Tucked away from everything, we got to focus on having fun as a family away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We did Mammoth Cave, enjoyed the hot tub, and loved the saloon! Already missing it!

This was a great private location for the last couple days of our honeymoon.

We've stayed at a lot of cabins for fall and spring breaks with our kids & this is one of our absolute favorites! Everything was clean & comfortable, the hot tub is fantastic, and the layout of the house worked well for our family (kids in the basement, mom + dad in the upstairs master). There's an incredible amount of deck space (three levels!), and having coffee outside each morning was a highlight for me. The 18-hole disc golf course is a unique feature! My 7-year-old is just getting into disc golf, and we liked that we could just take him out to play a couple of holes at a time after spending the day doing other activities. A couple of things to know: (1) Grocery stores are few & far between in the area, so plan to bring most of what you need with you or to eat at local restaurants while you're out and about, (2) If you're visiting Mammoth Cave, look up information about the Green River Ferry -- not only is it a fun experience but it will save you a ton of driving time.

We had a great stay at the cabin. The kids enjoyed the downstairs area with their bedroom, pool table, darts and access to the back yard. We fished out back and had no luck but caught lots of fish at the boat ramp down the road. The host was very responsive.

Our stay was perfection! If you are looking for a home with incredible attention to detail, private, and peaceful - this is it!

The Gnome Home was such an amazing place! We enjoyed the week spent here. Heather was an amazing host. We had all the amenities we needed, including more towels than we've ever had at an Airbnb (it was amazing). We loved chilling by the fire pit at night, and watching wildlife during the day (deer, turkey, owls). We can't wait to come back and visit again!

This is a beautiful, clean, and well appointed cabin. Lora was so kind to check in and make sure we had all we needed after our arrival, but the place was already perfect and we felt right at home. We stayed during the summer which was great for easy access to Barren River Lake, but this would also be an amazing winter rental with the cozy look of the cabin and the two fireplaces. I had such a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin near Mammoth Cave! The grounds were absolutely beautiful—peaceful, green, and full of charm. The nearby waterfall was so much fun to explore and made the whole experience feel magical. The cabin itself was spotless and decorated so cutely—it had a warm, welcoming vibe that made me feel right at home. Communication with the host, Dagmar, was excellent from start to finish. She was responsive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right. I’ll definitely be back in the near future—and next time, I’m bringing my fishing pole! Highly recommend this little getaway spot to anyone looking for nature, comfort, and great hospitality.

We really enjoyed our stay! We loved the cabin, perfect size for the 2 of us. It was so clean and neat and so peaceful! Great location, close to all the caves and other attractions and also other nearby towns.

Beautiful stay with plenty of room for a good group of friends and family. Good games for entertainment and lots of conversation starting decorations.

The house was perfect for our weekend away! Plenty of space both inside and outside. We went to Mammoth Cave and Louisville from here, and it was a relaxing home base.

A beautiful little cabin on the water. It had plenty of space for our family of four and our two fur babies. It was very clean and nicely decorated and equipped w the essentials. Lots to do locally. A wonderulf porch and firpit area to relax at the end of the day. We cannot wait to go back.

I had one issue with the shower head. I contacted her and it was fixed the next morning, very quick response.

Jamie’s place was exactly what we needed for our visit to Bowling Green. We were traveling with family, and the home was spacious enough for everyone in our group! The kitchen was well-stocked, which was important to us. Jamie was so helpful and responsive to messages and questions.
