Incredible place and location! We will surely miss it!

We loved our two-week stay at Conceição's cottage. We were four adults and two small kids, and the cottage felt roomy and homey. Our kids loved getting to play in the yard, which was well set up for small children to explore safely. The nearby Aldea Museu José Franco, which was an easy walk from the house, was also endlessly fun for them - they visited almost every day. We explored Ericeira, Mafra, and towns near Sintra, all an easy trip away. Above all, our hosts were lovely and so accommodating, truly making sure that we had everything we needed. When we had to make an urgent doctor's appointment, Carlos was so helpful at arranging an appointment at a great clinic in town. We are very grateful!

If you want a real local Sintra experience then this is your place. Charming house with a lot of character, charm and history. We were a group of 6 and cooked in for dinner 2 of the three nights. Very close to town center for walking. It’s a very hilly town so if you like walking it’s great for you. Maria could not have been nicer.

Wir hatten eine wirklich tolle Zeit. Das Haus ist genau wie auf den Fotos und bietet alles was man Brauch. Die offene Küche und der kleine Pool mit den Hängematten im Hof waren das absolute Highlight. Wenn ich mir ein kleines Ferienhaus bauen würde, dann würde es genau so aussehen. 🫶🏼 François war ein toller Gastgeber, der uns sogar mit Wein und leckerem Käse begrüßt hat. Wir kommen gerne immer wieder.

Wir waren alle sehr grosse Fans von der Unterkunft, gut gelegen um nach Ribeira surfen zu gehen und ideal für grössere Gruppen!

Wir haben mit 2 Familien eine Woche in Daniel's Haus verbracht und hatten eine tolle Zeit. Das Haus und Grundstück sind nicht nur groß, sondern auch schon eingerichtet bzw. angelegt. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet und mit beheiztem Pool, neuem Kicker, Yogamatten, der Tischtennisplatte und dem Grill gibt es auch ohne Ausflüge viel zu tun. Aber angesichts der schönen, ruhigen Natur (ab und zu nerven das Hundegebell etwas) in unmittelbarer Umgebung und den vielseitigen Strände (im Westen mit Wellen, bei Sesimbra ruhig karibisch, allerdings kalt:-)) wäre es schade, auf Ausflüge zu verzichten. Man braucht allerdings einen Mietwagen und Einkaufsgelegenheiten sind etwas weiter weg (bis den den kleinen Shop im Ort, der Essentials anbietet). Wir würden das Haus definitiv nochmal buchen.

La casa di Filipe si trova in una posizione fantastica, con una vista sull'oceano a 180° ed un bellissimo sentiero che parte proprio di fronte alla casa ed arriva fino alla baia di ribeira d'ilhas, passando per alcuni famosi sport per il surf. La casa si sviluppa su due piani, dispone di una piscina privata e di molti servizi, fra i quali un tavolo da biliardo, una griglia e un sistema audio bluetooth. Ci siamo goduti degli ottimi aperitivi al tramonto ed in generale tutto è andato bene. Filipe si è occupato personalmente del check in, ed è sempre stato presente e molto disponibile. Ci torneremo!

Wir hatten eine super schöne Zeit. Die Wohnung ist groß und hat ein tolles Bad. Wir hatten ein Ameisen-Decken Problem, dies wurde aber schnellstmöglich behoben. Wir können diese Unterkunft sehr empfehlen

We had a wonderful stay! Just a short summary of pros and cons: + Antonio and Maria were great hosts - communication and help was excellent when needed. They brought fresh bread every morning which means less driving to the next town as a guest - fantastic! The house has an amazing view. which is almost unbeatable. The neighborhood is calm with no hotels/noise. - Compared to the fotos it was a bit smaller and older/with signs of normal use than we expected, but of course its sometimes difficult to tell by pictures. Since its southern Europe, be prepared for some insects (has nothing to do with the accommodation but might be helpful to know) - but Antonio and Maria had us prepared with some mosquito repellents and insecticide sprays. The lower bathroom has a strange smell when the drain hasn't been used regulary - but Antonio offered help immediately after we wold him and eventually it improved . All in all a great stay just with some small hints you should know - thank you again!

It was our best experience with Airbnb by far. Everything was just perfect: amazing views, well equipped kitchen, clean bathroom, powerful shower, comfortable bed. Falling asleep to the sound and smell of the sea felt like the best feeling in the world! The host was super responsive, helpful and provided great recommendations of things to do in the area. Fantastic place to stay, especially if you're a beach lover or surfer. The house is in a quiet location with panoramic views. Beautiful. The house is close to the gorgeous Calada beach which has a lovely cafe on the beach for coffee, snacks, light bites and drinks. The house is close to Ericeira, Ribamar and Barril...all with lovely restaurants and all on the coast. The house itself is super. Its very modern with all amenities you would ever need for your stay. It even comes with board games. The house is super clean. It was lovely to have a bathroom for each of us during our stay. Maria is a super host. She has been so responsive and helpful with recommendations for everything you ask for. She is very friendly. I would recommend this place to family and friends and hopefully we will get to come back some day. Thanks Maria

Sintra is a magical destination. So many people make it a day trip from Lisbon and, in so doing, miss out on the heart of this community. We were thrilled that Hugo and Laura provided this opportunity for us to more fully explore this amazing place. Their Casa das Rosas is exactly as described, very compact and usable. It takes a little getting used to the arrangement of floors with bedroom and shower on the top floor and bathroom and kitchen two floors below, but it works. Laura and Hugo are most gracious hosts and we received very clear instruction regarding parking, entry, use of space and departure. The welcome gifts were much appreciated as well. Great shower! Well equipped kitchen. We would recommend this place to anyone who is OK with climbing stairs.

We had such a lovely stay over the month we stayed here. Felt completely at home. The house was so clean, comfortable and had everything one could need. The backyard, pool, and pool room made our stay extra luxurious. Working remotely was easy with a strong wifi connection and a proper office to work from. Lina was so kind, welcoming, and responsive. Any questions we had, she was quick to respond. The house is in a beautiful area, close to some great towns, epic surf, and beautiful vineyards. A great place to stay whether family, friends, or couples.

We are a family of 5 from Australia on a 3 month journey though Spain and Portugal and this place is the best accommodation we have stayed in. Everyone that works in this little village is truly spectacular and nice, the houses have been refurbished in a way that preserved what it would have been like to live in the village 300 years ago. Our kids especially enjoyed spending time feeding the animals and helping around the farm area. The location is perfect for visiting Sintra, lisbon, Mafra and the surrounding area and also make sure to eat at the little restaurant in the village, it was a real culinary treat. You also receive a lot of supplies for breakfast including freshly baked bread that is delivered to you door, what a treat, my favourite was the beautiful apricot jam on bread, yum. Book this place NOW, you will creat memories you will carry with you for life. We certainly did, ❤️

What a beautiful home! The pictures don’t do it justice. The pool is gorgeous, the view is so beautiful and the kitchen was great. I am American and having a full sized American refrigerator as well as a second fridge and so many bathrooms (and laundry) was amazing. We drove down the street to the local town of Ericiera where they had a beautiful beach, tons of restaurants (including McDonalds) and a big grocery store that sold EVERYTHING (looks like Target). Kristina was responsive and so nice! The airline lost our luggage and she lent us some of her own kids’ clothing to hold over until we worked it out. Great stay, would highly recommend!

We loved our stay at Figueiredo’s place. Perfect for us as a couple, with a private pool and deck to relax on in the evening. Quiet location within easy reach of Cascais, via Uber or a short walk, with its great food options. Communication was easy and everything was as described. Would highly recommend this place is you are looking for somewhere quiet near Cascais.

Ricardo’s barn is not only a stunning renovation but a true sanctuary — the design, space plan, textures, linens, outdoor spaces, levels and thoughtful touches make this one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in… and I’ve stayed in a lot! Azenhas do Mar is only 5-7 minute drive which is incredible and the small town nearby is charming and friendly. Ricardo was an excellent host and provided us with groceries, vino, etc when we arrived. So kind! We absolutely loved it and would highlight recommend to anyone considering a stay!

paula was so helpful and was waiting for us when we arrived. The little cabin was extremely clean and had loads of little touches. I epecially loved the lavender on the towels very nice touch. There are a couple of restaurants walkable near by. A lovely bbq take away and a great very cheap and friendly cafe bar just around the corner. we could'nt have found a better place to spend afew days. Thank you Paula x

Eine wunderbare Unterkunft in traumhafter Landschaft. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben in dieser tollen Wohnung mit 100 % Erholungswert. Super nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin .

Wonderful family stay, Carolina was attentive and helpful, going out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed for our baby too. We felt right at home, we didn’t want to leave!

Wij hebben een zeer prettig verblijf gehad. Laura en Robin beide erg vriendelijke mensen! Een hele mooie en rustgevende omgeving, een mooie onderhouden tuin met zwembad en ontzettend gezellig met de kippen die om je heen dwarrelen. Binnen is alles zeer netjes en goed onderhouden, het 1.40 bed is alleen wat knus met zijn tweeën. We hadden moeite om de plek achter te laten en door te gaan naar de volgende plek, dit is een groot compliment naar jullie :)

Genau wie erwartet. Ruhig, down to earth, nah an einem wenig besuchten Sandstrand und trotzdem Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, etc. in der Nähe. Und Claire ist eine tolle Gastgebenrin :-)

Beautiful house with everything you need, Lovely private outside area. Hosts always answered any questions quickly. A car is needed to get around. Had a brilliant week relaxing here with our family.
