Beachfront vacation rentals in Lydd-on-Sea

Beautiful location, everything you could need for a peaceful break. We had a bbq one evening, went to Hampton Inn another - made for a great weekend. Lovely quiet getaway outside of popular resorts, although recommend walking to/from Whitstable for a visit without the stress of being in a busy town. Our little dog loved it, wonderful for bird watching and sea dips.

A lovely cottage, we have enjoyed our stay very much. There are lots of nice touches in a good thought for the comfort of guests. Warm house in every room by the time of our arrival; milk, juice, home made jam (delicious!), bread, cereals avalible; little messages that welcome and guide through the house. There are actually 3 bathrooms. All is spotless clean and fresh. We wish to return :)

I had a really lovely stay! Paul was really responsive over message and flexible in letting me drop luggage and check in early as the flat was ready due to an early check out. The flat is so well stocked and Paul goes above and beyond, supplying bread, milk eggs, cereals etc and the bathroom is stocked with everything you need should you forget anything. Location is very near the train station and St Leonards and Hastings is lovely. I found a lot of things were closed on a Sunday or Monday but there was still a lot to wander around and I loved the peacefulness.

We had a wonderful stay at Rose Cottage. Beautiful Airbnb and a great location- a few minutes from the beach and restaurants. Lovely sunny garden with furniture and a bbq. Comfortable beds. The stairs are steep but that’s called out in the description. We can’t wait to visit again!

Tout était parfait et magnifique. Le logement de Christophe est un véritable havre de paix, décoré avec beaucoup de goût et offrant une atmosphère incroyablement apaisante. Chaque détail a été pensé pour le confort et le bien-être, et nous avons vraiment apprécié chaque instant passé ici. Propreté irréprochable et très belle situation près de la plage.

Thank you Mathew for allowing us to stay with our dogs. Even though our stay was an emotional one, we felt right at home and that made things a whole lot easier. Being Autistic with other disabilities/difficulties, it can be very hard travelling and staying away at different locations. From the moment we arrived we felt like we belonged which really helped me to cope, thank you We loved the basement apartment, it was perfect from everything it offered, to the unique quaintness of its character, to how quiet it was, to feeling so warm and inviting. We look forward to returning again

Lovely apartment. Stayed for a wedding nearby at Hayne House - good location. Martin was regularly in touch to make sure we had arrived okay. Would recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Gills caravan. It was spotlessly clean and had a well equipped kitchen. ( we like cooking) The rooms were very comfy and the outside space was a plus in the sunshine. Gill was extremely helpful and friendly and the area was very dog friendly with loads of lovely walks straight from the site. It was our first time In The area and we will definitely be back. Absolutely stunning location with an amazing view overlooking farmland, but only a short walk on to camber sands beach (2 minutes). We sat out every night and watched the sunset over the back of the caravan listening to all the wildlife. It's in a busy park but tucked in a corner so you wouldn't even know! The park itself was so good for the kids, loads of activities and entertainment on site to keep them occupied! The caravan is nicely laid out with lots of room for everyone (family of 5 + dog). We would definitely visit again!

We felt right at home in Wendy's holiday park caravan, which reminded us a lot of our luxury camper that we travel with back home in the states. Wendy was an incredibly responsive and accommodating host from start to finish, and the quiet location away from the busyness of central Dover couldn't be beat. No issues parking, and the overflow parking is a literal stone throw's away if needed. The shop next to the overflow parking was perfect to stock up supplies for a quick breakfast the next morning before we headed out. Supposedly there are laundry resources on site, but we arrived too late to take advantage of that - pick up tokens and soap at the shop if needed. The exterior doors are also a little tricky if you aren't familiar with multi-lock styles - make sure you pull up on the handle when locking exterior doors. Also be sure to make reservations for any of the nice restaurants nearby!

This was our second visit to the Lighthouse and it still is an amazing place, from the panoramic sea views to a lovely warm inviting home. A dip in the pool before breakfast, sitting with a coffee watching the seascape, as far as Essex and beyond, sunsets and so much more. I will make the same comment as I did last, this goes for the whole of our party across 3 generations and the dogs, the only bad thing about the Lighthouse is having to leave. Hopefully this will not be our last visit.

First time hiring a hut and I’m so glad I did. This little hut was cute and had everything you needed. I messaged Maria asking for a little something for my mum’s bday and she did 😊. No bad reviews we’re planning on hiring more often, all it could do with is a little tlc ie painting needs updating, the windbreakers need replacing and possibly something for the ground by the doors as it’s hard to open the doors with the stones. But other then that it was lovely and we had such a lovely time , we locked everything up in the hut and took a walk to the pier and came back it was lovely thank you ☺️

Lovely place, within walking distance to the amenities, very clean, loved the games in the cupboard. Very well equipped and the bunny population was an added bonus! We highly recommend

Very spacious and comfortable flat with amazing panoramic view of the ocean. It was easy to park the car for free at a nearby park and walk to the new and old town. The beds were super comfy.

The Old Log Cabin balances style and comfort. It's personal, but not cluttered, and has a surprising amount of space. Best is its location, in the frontline, looking across the shingle to the shore, with a hardy garden, and a perfect indoor/outdoor living area that makes you feel you are part of the wild while still providing shelter from the harsh Dungeness elements. You feel part of the quirky Dungeness world of humans and industry when you look back, but alone in the landscape when you look forward. It's a perfect balance. And Adam is a great host, communicative and friendly.

We just had a lovely family break at your fantastic house. It’s in a beautiful, peaceful location with the beach literally in your back garden – such a rare treat! We loved being close enough to walk to the shops, and it was only a short drive to lots of local attractions, which made planning days out really easy. The house had everything we needed and more. The kids absolutely loved all the toys you provided and, of course, the trampoline was a big hit! Our dogs had the best time too – it was so nice to stay somewhere truly pet-friendly. Big thank you to monika for all the really useful information and being so responsive, even to my silly questions Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us – we hope to be back soon!

Had a great stay here with my family. Lovely house, had everything we needed and everybody enjoyed the welcome basket. There were thoughtful touches like the happy birthday banner and dog treats. Fab location right on the beach. We took a trip to Dymchurch on the railway but in all honestly we just loved hanging out at the house and beach. With the BBQ and boules there was no need to leave!

We loved the flat and the panoramic view of the beach and sea from the front window. The accommodation is comfortable, clean and easy to maintain. We found it well equipped and loved having a few basic essentials such as coffee, sugar and oil provided. A very good location for sight seeing, catching local buses and walking.

We were in Hastings to catch Jack Dee and only booked one night. Tanya is really great to communicate with responsive and friendly. Finding and getting in is easy. The communal hallway/ stairs are tatty but my lord it doesn’t matter when you see the view from the living room. It’s absolutely stunning. The flat is spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen is cute and all you need. The bedroom is large, so quiet we had such a good sleep. Wish we had booked longer as I could stare out at the sea for hours! Great flat! Would not hesitate to stay again.

Thank you Penny for having us. We had a lovely staycation, the caravan was beautiful we loved the decor and amenities that were available. Was perfect location to relax and unwind after visiting the area including Dymchurch & Dungeness. Would recommend to anyone wanting a Kent beach location!
