Would definitely recommend a visit! It is a beautiful place to stay, with lots of character and charm! Rooms are surprisingly large with lots of natural light and beds were well rated among our group. Swedish hot tub was a firm favourite. Joe and Hannah were responsive, super friendly and provided a stellar pub recommendation just 10mins away. Perfect for family or friends getaway.

2nd time staying here and not disappointed on either occasion. Host is very easy to communicate with and made arrival very simple. Accomodation is as described and as the picture shows. Location is great if you like walking, cycling and pubs and would thoroughly recommend the local pub which serves great food and beer.

Had a wonderful stay, the barn is amazing and was the perfect backdrop for our week away! Amazingly clean and comfortable and the beds were super comfy. Sonia and Adam were warm, friendly and welcoming 😊

What can I say about this wonderfully quaint and quirky cottage that hasn't already been written? Probably nothing, but once you've picked your jaw up off the floor it's impossible to not be totally besotted by this hidden gem nestled in the heart of the English countryside, the pictures really don't do it justice. Our initial exploration of the spotless interior was way beyond our expectations, it's simply stunning and is the perfect blend of old and new. Everything we needed was provided and the comprehensive notes provided by Sue were more than adequate in providing clear directions and instructions for the various appliances, etc. Our stay surpassed our expectations in every way possible, if you've ever wanted to stay in an authentic cottage with a truly spectacular garden and doorstep access to to miles of public walkways look no further. Finally, a huge thinks to our wonderfully responsive host Sue for offering this property on Airbnb, very, very highly recommended.

We had a fabulous 3 night stay at Chloe's house in lovely Bishops Castle and are already planning to return. It's an ideally located property, perfectly proportioned with big bedrooms and having two bathrooms very much appreciated. Excellent showers with great water pressure. It's well appointed and comfortable - we all commented on how well we slept - and so conveniently situated. On street parking was no problem in the immediate vicinity and we enjoyed walks to Clun (super castle, river, pubs, and a v pretty village) and to the Powys Inn an easy 2.5 mile wander away. Evenings and dinners on the incredible terrace at the Castle Hotel with the best views you could imagine were a real highlight, and only a very short walk from the front door of the house. Chef's kiss to the whole wonderful weekend ❤️

We had a wonderful stay at the barn. Lots of room for us, a family of six adults. Comfy beds, great shower with lots of hot water for us all to shower after being on the river all day. Kitchen was very well equipped too. Would definitely come back.

Only a one night stay but was a very peaceful and cosy night. Everything was immaculate when we arrived. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The grounds on which we stayed were gorgeous and very nice to walk around. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely fabulous holiday, stunning location, beautiful surroundings and so peaceful/private. The accommodation was amazing, it’s like a tardis inside! We had everything we needed, Sarah had thought of everything. We tried all the activities on site, kayaking, hot tub, bbq, fire pit and walks round the lake, the gorgeous weather helped. The dogs enjoyed all the space to explore and relax on the decking. Sarah is a fantastic host, thank you such such an amazing experience!

Put short, we didn't want to leave. It was fantastic from start to finish, Hayley was welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We had some fantastic treatments while staying, and fully made use of the amenities. Such a wonderful location, can't wait to hopefully return.

We had a wonderful weekend here. Beautiful cottage in a gorgeous, tranquil setting with superb hosts, very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. They had thought of everything from a welcome bottle of wine and sweet treats to robes, sliders and even treats for the dog! Comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, lovely pool and hot tub. We will definitely return. If you’re looking for rest and relaxation in quiet and peaceful surroundings this is the place for you.

Our third stay at the Shippon and our two autistic boys treat it like a home from home. So relaxing I didn’t want to leave. Our youngest loves water and animals so swimming, hot tub, fussing the lovely dogs, feeding Monty the horse carrots, all while being followed around by the chickens. He was in heaven! A great base for visiting family and lots to do nearby if we want to. This time we went to hoo farm, but we were generally all happy to stay at the Shippon. The Shippon is spotless and to cosy and comfortable. Our dogs love sitting on the patio watching the world go by and Newport dog park is literally a 5-10 minute walk and they love it. Thanks so much Sara and Phil, you are always so helpful and friendly. Can’t wait to come back!

The snug little pods are a perfect place to stay, overlooking open dales with sheep and cows, ducks swimming on pond right outside. Michiala could not have been more welcoming and helpful. we had all the peace and quiet we needed but she was always ready to assist as soon as we needed anything. Her cats and dogs were as friendly as Michaela herself. our neighbours in the other pod were super friendly too ..but with two bathrooms and a perfectly equipped little kitchen between us it never felt crowded. we loved being able to bring our own bedding because we don't like thick duvets, this meant we slept really well and felt absolutely at home.

Me and my partner went with the dog, we had one of the best times in this spot, really relaxing to be at the pod and then travelling around the villages was lots of fun. Was always nice to come back to the lovely pod! The kitchen had everything you needed as well

We absolutely loved our stay at The Coach House! It was exactly as described and very comfortable. Charlie and Peter were great hosts and had thought of everything. We loved the overall vibe of the house and garden - it’s very Soho Farmhouse chic - and there were even eggs from the local chickens there for us to enjoy. We all said how much we’d love to come back and stay again, and will definitely be recommending it to our friends!

Stayed here as a group of 4 friends to celebrate special birthdays. The cabin was spotless and has everything you need. We forgot to take sugar and Louise brought some right round when we asked if she had any. The shared games room, pool (each property has their own time slots) and tennis courts were fun to have and the surroundings are absolutely beautiful. Private hot tub to top it off. We love playing games. We brought our own but the cabin had a really good selection. Sequence was our favourite!! Checkout wasn’t as clear as check in and we weren’t sure what to do with the key but overall we had a 10/10 time and would definitely recommend. Thank you for having us. 🙂

We had a lovely couple of days at the Granary. The house is beautiful and had just what we needed. We loved the fabrics and colours throughout and the bed was really comfortable. We enjoyed exploring the local area- Presteigne and Knighton are interesting nearby towns and there are great walks in the area. We would definitely like to return.

The cabin was exactly as per the listing, and everything was of a high quality. I would echo previous reviews to say that the beds and bedding were extremely comfortable, all our party slept well. The cabin was well appointed, with plenty of kitchen equipment - the only thing missing was a wire brush to clean the bbq on departure, but Mariella kindly told us she would take care of this. Nigel (and Rufus!) came shortly after we arrived to talk us through the hot tub, and then every day to check it was in good order. The outside space was great, although we had to retire inside each night at 7.30ish due to lots of flying insects - obviously nothing our hosts could do about that, it's just part of being in a rural setting. I only mention to sat take some insect repellent just in case if you tend to get bitten - this wouldn't prevent us from recommending the property.

We had a wonderful short stay at Writers' Lodge. We knew from the photographs that we were in for a good stay and we weren't disappointed. The cottage is absolutely charming and very well equipped. Bob and Caroline are excellent hosts and have obviously put a lot of thought into making the visit as comfortable and relaxing as possible for guests. The homemade cake went down very well too and was a lovely welcoming touch.

A lovely loft with beautiful surroundings! John and Jane are great and helpful hosts and the place has nice details and a very cozy decoration. Everything we needed for a countryside getaway was there! :) Will warmly recommend. The place is also very animal- and child friendly! Thank you once again for a lovely stay.

From the moment we arrived we knew we had made the right choice. The location and view is fantastic, we felt so at peace. Internally the property is well equipped and of the highest standard and very clean throughout. The deck in the evening, glass of wine and just listening to the birdsong, so very peaceful. Lots of electric outlets so no need for extension leads and a dimmable lighting system thats like a 70s disco until you get the hang of it 😄. I cannor fault Jeannie, or the property, well worth the cost. Such a lovely place. Thank you Jeannie for making our 20th wedding anniversary one to remember. David and Julie.

Our 1st Air B&B experience and it was fabulous. Minus a star of easy to find, mainly as we were looking at eye level from car for sign, but it was up high and was wood on wood, we also missed the name The Steps up on the house wall. 🙈 Would have appreciated conditioner with shampoo but apart from that minor niggle, everything else was perfect. We will definitely be returning in the future. Loads of useful information on places to go, including walks, pubs and local towns provided. Also, very clear instructions for staying and also for leaving. Loved the little private garden, especially for our dog. Extremely comfortable bed and fab shower - would highly recommend. Also, Sandy and Claire were lovely.
