Penny’s place is truly a hidden gem—a peaceful escape from reality. My husband and I both work, go to school, and juggle raising kids, so we were long overdue for a quiet getaway to reconnect. Sanctuary in the Pines was exactly what we needed. It’s calm, quiet, and surrounded by nature—perfect for slowing down and just enjoying each other’s company. You really can't describe the experience fully in words... you just have to go and feel it for yourself. Penny is hands down the best host we’ve ever had. She’s incredibly sweet and thoughtful, and always responds quickly if you need anything. Her warmth made us feel so welcomed and taken care of. If you're looking for a place to relax, recharge, and reconnect, this is it. One tip: don’t make the same mistake we did by arriving late at night—come during the day so you can enjoy the gorgeous drive in and take in the views. Great place and great location!!! We got tons of snow play in, right outside the place. And going over to the resort and shuttle was super easy. Bed is super comfortable.
