Driftwood cottage is a very inviting and well appointed cottage in a truly stunning and peaceful shore location. Newly renovated with views towards Loch Linnhe and beyond. Downstairs benefits from open plan kitchen, dining and sitting area. Upstairs are three bedrooms and bathroom. The cottage is situated on Ardrhu estate near the village of Onich, perfect location for exploring Glen Coe, Ben Nevis, Ardnamurchan and the islands around.
“This place is in such a great location - stunning view of the loch from the house, 2 minutes walk to the rugged shoreline with gorgeous rocks and pebbles and mountain views, equidistant from Glencoe and Ben Nevis ski areas and masses of walking places we didn't get to, 20 minutes from the biggest ice climbing wall in Britain! Great to have a week's supply of logs included. Well-equipped kitchen and lovely clean and stylish rooms - really homely. Parking right outside. Big garden for a run around on fine days. Really handy to have the extra sockets around the place too for charging things up. And a lovely touch of wine and chocolates on arrival!”
This is a stand alone log cabin, which has just undergone extensive renovations. It has few neighbours except for myself. It's situated in a wild garden, with access to 3 hectares of beautiful woodland behind. There's a main living room, a galley kitchen, a double bedroom and a bathroom with a large shower. There's also a wood stove to keep you warm. There's a TV with chromecast, a speaker system and a guitar for campfire songs! There's also a firepit available for use 30m from the cabin.
“We stayed here for my girlfriends birthday and this cabin is just perfect! It's so clean and comfortable and in a perfect location. Close enough to fort William to stock up on provisions but remote enough to feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. Pete was brilliant with his messages and couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect. Pete had the stove going for us on arrival which was great. Loved sitting out on the front porch and looking at the stars. I can't recommend this place enough and I've already told my girlfriend I want to come here again for my birthday. Stop looking for other places and book this place now.”
Fancy some Lochside living for your holiday? Loch side cottage full of period charm for 4 just outside Oban. The cottage has lots of original features with open fires and lovely views over the Falls of Lora and Loch Etive. We regularly spot seals from the house and if you are in luck; otters! We look forward to welcoming you to our part of Scotland!
“This is one of those places that you'd like to not review....so you can keep it to yourself. All of the standard expectations were exceeded...very clean, very comfortable, nice amenities (plenty of glasses, plates, pots.....the things that we've been unhappy with in other rentals). The surprise was the Falls of Lora, and the locations to just sit and watch the water (the sitting room and the deck). We rented because it was nice to be on the water.....but had no idea how amazing it would be. The water rushing in and out of the loch (with the tides) looks like a very active river, but it flows in both directions! I literally could have sat there all day and watched. We were also lucky enough to see seals each morning. All in all a great stay.”
