The Hatchery, (Sleeps 5, Parking, near Tipp town)

When you’re travelling to Ireland and would like to see more than Dublin, you’re invited to see more of the countryside near Tipperary. During this trip we’ve visited the distilleries of the greatest Irish whiskey’s in Middleton, Tullamore (and Dublin). All within the range of a 1-1.5h drive. The location and house hosted by Rosemary is an excellent location to stay with 4 friends. In the house all you need is available. Even fresh fruit and some pastries were though on. We had the opportunity to grab some sandwiches from the local store (5 min by car) and had a breakfast and lunch in the Irish sun on the terrace of the house. I would recommend this house for your next holiday to Ireland. 🇮🇪

Castlelake Cottage - self catering

We had a great stay in Brian’s place. Our toddler particularly loved the huge garden with swing set, and the electric tractor Brian brought out for him to play with was a big hit. Brian and Laura were lovely hosts and stopped to chat and offer recommendations for the area including the local woodland walk. Lovely comfy beds too.
A charming cottage displays a thatched roof beside stone and brick exteriors. A neatly trimmed garden features colorful flowers and lush green plants, enclosed by a red wooden fence. The inviting yard is accompanied by several windows, allowing natural light to brighten the space.

Had a lovely stay here for our honeymoon. Tom was incredibly welcoming. Beautiful location surrounded by nature, and all the amenities necessary to feel comfortable. Our only regret was not staying longer on our journey.

Unique castle in beautiful surroundings

LindaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This is a love song to Atherlow Castle. Our family of 6(all adults) stayed for a week and didn’t want to leave. We truly felt at home. There’s plenty of space for everyone to have their privacy in the castle but there was still such a comfortable feeling. The grounds are lovely, with the nicest looking herd of cows I’ve ever seen peacefully grazing on impossibly green grass. Freda and Declan were quintessential hosts! Friendly and unobtrusive with adorable bouncy dogs. The area, as described by a local tea shop owner we struck up a conversation with, is real Ireland not tourist Ireland. All of the major sites are within driving distance but the local area has hidden gems. We have stayed in wonderful Airbnbs all over the world but Atherlow Castle won my heart.

Perfect stay. Pristine renovation of this historic cottage. Our host Jim shared the history and gave great recommendations for the area and the rest of our journey. Very comfortable and full of thoughtful amenities. Would love to stay again if we get back to this area.

Quiet place near Glenbrohane, Ballylanders and Kilfinane. Definitely good for guests who like outdoor activities. John and Barbara were very helpful. As the accommodation is at the back of their property it felt very safe.

Honey Farm House

Travelling with 5 kids can be stressful but Catherine's place was perfect for us. It's in a beautiful remote safe location, kids were able to play outside in the private grounds without any worries. Best of all the apartment was so spacious we were never on top of each other. For the amount of space and people it sleeps, cleanliness and thoughtful touches (board games, spare shampoos etc and fully equipped kitchen) this apartment has to be the best for value for money. Catherine supplied milk, bread and butter and even a few goodies. The kids were amazed to find "free" biccies and pringles. They were delighted! Thanks so much Catherine. Will definately stay again :)
An open plan living area features a high timber ceiling, creating a spacious ambiance. A solid fuel stove serves as a focal point, surrounded by a cozy arrangement of soft seating and a wooden coffee table. Walls display artwork, enhancing the overall environment.

Pat was a great host. Unfortunately, we were only on a flying work visit to the area, one overnight stay, so we did not have time to visit any of the local attractions. However, we did dine in a local restaurant recommended by Pat and it didn't disappoint.
