Designed for families as a relaxing spot to get away from the hustle & bustle of life, the "Hillside Hideaway" is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin perched on a hill in southeastern Missouri with a gorgeous sunset view from the screen porch. We have a well-stocked kitchen, laundry, fire pit, and plenty of toys and games for the whole family. It is just a couple of miles to a sandy swimming beach at Lake Wappapello, the boat ramp at Chaonia Landing, and many hiking trails in Lake Wappapello State Park.

This is our family cabin. Our family farms soybeans, rice, and corn. We are too busy working during spring, summer, and some of fall to enjoy our cabin much. We are wanting to share our beautiful place for others to enjoy. It is located approximately 10 minutes from Poplar Bluff, MO. We live about 30 minutes away, so we can be available if needed. We have satellite TV and wi-fi. Cabin is pretty secluded nestled among the trees with the Black River flowing within 100 feet of the deck.

This was a perfect spot for our little group while we were in the area for a conference at Puxico First Baptist Church. The kids enjoyed the games in the basement and the beds were very comfortable. We also appreciated having a good place to hunker down during the tornado warning the night we were there. Thank you for making your home available to us.

My family really enjoyed our quiet retreat at the end of a long school year. Mingo National Wildlife Refuge was a wonderful outdoor experience as well as the Wapapello State Park and Corps of Engineer parks. The house was perfect with plenty of sleeping arrangements and lots of cookware for preparing meals. The upstairs was perfect for the kids! And the plentiful pillows and blankets were a treat! The back yard is huge and fenced! Beautiful property, we will definitely stay here again!

Great quiet place. If you looking to get away to just relax this is a beautiful quiet place. The misquote are the only complaint so take some bug spary and enjoy you stay.
