House vacation rentals in Lake of the Woods

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Eric’s beautiful lake house. The house was incredibly clean, spacious, with a modern and nicely decorated interior, and a fabulous large kitchen! The lake front location was hard to beat - we enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding every day as well as just hanging out on the dock. The cove in which the house is located is very peaceful and quiet. The screened in porch was a perfect spot for lounging and dining. Eric was great at coordinating and communicating with us and responded very promptly! We would certainly return!! All the best!

Fabulously beautiful location. Picturesque. Home was lovely, comfortable and delightful to stay in. Many great places to sit, enjoyable amenities. Host was kind to allow us some flexibility to support our family's needs. So appreciated! Highly recommend!

Lois is such a wonderful and accommodating host! She is quick to respond, extremely generous, and truly cares about the quality of her guest’s stay. The house and property are pristinely kept and there is no shortage of things to do both in and outside of the home. We fished, kayaked, played ping pong and pool, and enjoyed days by the pool and evenings in the new hot tub! I would highly recommend booking Lois’ place if you’re considering a stay at Lake Anna!

Perfect relaxing stay! You don’t need to the leave the house with all it has to offer. Heated pool was perfect on a 70 degree sunny day. We loved the movie room and arcade. Andy & Ling communicated well and have a beautiful home!!

Loved Loved Sharon’s Sunset Retreat. Just what we were looking for when looking for a peaceful home to visit with our family. Open concept living spaces with everything we needed to relax and enjoy ourselves. We were able to enjoy pool and cookout in evenings. Enjoyed our time so much. Will definitely stay here again if available when we come back to see our kids and grandkids.

My husband, brother, and two of our friends spent the weekend at Brad’s house and we had a lovely time. It was extremely conducive to relaxing. We cooked our meals there. The kitchen was very clean and we had found everything we needed for our meals. We were able to use lies the front porch. The pool was closed, but it looked very nice. Brad is an amazing host. He will answer your questions quickly. I would highly recommend staying at Brad’s place to anyone.

We had a beautiful and peaceful stay at Patrick's lovely retreat.

Only bad thing about this place was having to go home. This is such a gem with a view that dreams are made of. We ended up bringing dinner back just to sit and enjoy the majestic view. Rustic and truly relaxing. All of the extra amenities and the treats makes this location earn our five star review.

We really enjoyed our stay! It makes you feel right at home with personal touches with a fully equipped kitchen, dog bowls and leash, string lights in the backyard, bug spray and sunscreen, and bathroom essentials. The place was also very clean. Signs and labels were useful reminders for guests. The host was also very responsive with any questions we had. Highly recommend this place for a stay!

This Airbnb was perfect for a trip with 10 women for a relaxing lake get away. It was a huge house with plenty of space if someone needed some quiet or privacy. A well supplied kitchen — we were able to cook all our meals at home. The space had more amenities than we knew what to do with! And it was less than a ten minute drive from where we would pick up our boat rental. So convenient.

We had a fantastic stay. The house was as described and all amenities were in great condition. We had all required supplies in the house.

My friends and I had a wonderful stay. The house was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed eating dinner and playing games on the deck while looking out on the lake. The owner was very responsive and helpful (even when we accidentally left something behind). I would recommend this stay to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Cascade Falls is a slice of heaven! The home sits on 20 acres and you feel like you own the mountain. The views are stunning. The kitchen was well stocked, sheets and towels were great quality with more than enough for our group. Beds were comfortable. House was clean. Our group loved the extras like the fire pit, foosball, ping pong table and corn hole. Anita is responsive and so friendly - she made sure we understood the roads and the need for an SUV. We will definitely stay here again.

Had an awesome stay at this house!! Would definitely come back. The house was well maintained, in a great location, and fit all of us comfortably. Really appreciated how responsive and friendly the hosts were when we had small questions to ask.

We absolutely loved our stay at Brian’s and Lien’s. Brian is very responsive and friendly. The pictures do not do the house justice. If you’re looking for privacy, this is an awesome place to stay. We enjoyed being able to sit around the fire and just relax; no car sounds, no noise pollution, just the sound of nature… We will definitely be back! 😊

This is a fantastic Airbnb and Hunter is a great host. Communication and responsiveness were excellent and Hunter was very helpful throughout. The location is beautiful with lots of wildlife and some amazing eagles and hawks to watch and many deer. The house is fantastic and exactly as described and shown in the pictures. Great and well stocked kitchen, a very comfortable great room, and plenty of rooms in each of the bedrooms and very pretty and secluded grounds looking out over Acquia Creek. We rented the home for a graduation ceremony at the Quantico Marine Base which is very close. We had a great time and were very happy with Hunter's place. I would highly recommend this spot to any size group! 5 Stars!

Beautiful home with plenty of comfortable spaces. Downstairs game room is great fun. Screened in porch made evening outdoor sitting an option without fighting the bugs. Easy walk to the beach and use of kayaks and paddle boards were great to watch sunset.

Colby's place was a great place to stay. clean, felt at home and very thoughtful host. Hopefully next time I can book a longer stay as this was a very nice place to relax

My family stayed at Ernest & Mary’s place for my daughter’s JMU graduation weekend & thoroughly enjoyed our accommodations & hosts! The property & house are stunning having plenty of room, beautiful views, comfortable beds & a well-equipped kitchen. We appreciated the welcoming environment & amenities. The hosts were communicative & always responded to our questions right away. They provided us with excellent suggestions of nearby activities and many we were able to enjoy! We highly recommend visiting Ernest & Mary’s place! We loved it!

Such a great spot for my family and friends! Kevin had some lovely touches, from a welcome message and snacks to chocolates on our pillows! They had a pack and play ready to go for my 6 month old and we’re so gracious about being flexible with checking in a little early and out a little late (tough to move quickly with a baby). We enjoyed glasses of wine on the back porch and family meals in the kitchen. A great pick for our stay in Culpeper!

Heather was extremely responsive to our questions and ready to give helpful advice. The house was beautiful and in great condition. Would recommend anyone for anyone looking to spend a weekend in Shenandoah.
