Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Lake Merritt

This space is an appartment, not a house. There are other tenants in the building. It was perfect for what we needed. There is a great view of the bay. The parking is difficult if you have a vehicle, but i imagine this is the case wherever you are in the city. The hosts are lovely and incredibly helpful. The location of the apartment seemed safe and we didn't have any issues.

Such a beautiful home on gorgeous land in a special neighborhood. Bill is a wonderful host. Would recommend to anyone.

Very nice home! We really enjoyed the city and the walk to the beach was beautiful. Only surprise was the rooms were smaller than expected. In one of the rooms you kind of have to crawl on and off the bed because it almost touches the wall. In the same room the light didn’t work but it wasn’t too much of a problem because we only slept in there. I really enjoyed the abundance of towels and dishes in the house. The house was well furnished and kept. The central air only has a heat setting so when we first got into the house it took some time to cool off with the wall ac and portable fans. I also really appreciated how responsive the hosts were. They answered all of our questions swiftly and respectfully! Great stay!

Gabrielle’s place was exactly what I needed for a peaceful get away from the city. It looked exactly as it did in pictures but so much more beautiful up close and personal. The personalized touches and friendly reminders were so well thought out and complimentary to my stay. Gabrielle was friendly and helpful; always responding with kindness and respect. I highly recommend this place for a wonderfully quaint and peaceful getaway.

Sunny Oasis is an accurate description! This home is very comfortable and nicely appointed in the heart of Berkeley.

It was a unique Victorian house with plenty of off street parking. We had all needed such as kitchen appliances, dishes, washer / dryer, and other amenities. All beds were comfortable. Plenty of spacious area in bedrooms and dinning room. There are plenty of shops and stores nearby. Great access to walk on ferries for San Francisco. Highly recommend visit Alcatraz Island form Pier 33 in San Francisco, If we were to visit Alameda again, we would definitely at Jeff's place. Also Jeff is very responsive to the needs of his guest.

My boyfriend and I were in Berkeley for a weekend celebrating my friend’s wedding, and The Peacock Room was the perfect retreat for us, with enough space to rest, hang out, and store/heat up some leftovers. It’s a really cool space with a ton of personality and quirky design, and is nestled in a quiet building complex that is centrally located and feels very private. Checking in and checking out was a breeze, and Erin was very responsive. There were a few ants in the bathroom when we arrived, but Erin brought some spray to use, and they weren’t a problem at all after that. Highly recommend the Peacock Room!

Our stay at Lori and Mike’s place was absolutely fantastic, and Lori truly made it unforgettable. While Mike was away on a trip, Lori went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed—and more. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel so welcome. She was warm, thoughtful, and incredibly attentive without ever being overbearing. It’s clear she genuinely cares about her guests and takes pride in creating a comfortable, personalized experience. She checked in with us just enough to make sure we were all set and shared amazing local tips that really made our trip extra special. Her kindness, attention to detail, and friendly energy made all the difference. We couldn’t have asked for a better host. Thank you so much, Lori—you’re truly one of a kind!

We had an amazing stay at Casita Casita, the kids had so much fun in the pool and the kitchen was beautiful. On the last day, my six year old didn’t want to leave, she said she wished we could live there forever. It was super clean and when I did have a question, Courtney replied almost immediately. She was super great to work with, she sent us the house guide before our arrival and it included food recommendations. There was also a book printed guide which we actually referenced a lot! So that was helpful. The location is EXTREMELY walkable, we had fun walking to local shops and restaurants and the local park and bocci ball court.

We booked this place for a family staycation to spend a long weekend doing nothing but relaxing. This place exactly fit the bill. The hot tub was amazing, the pool was lovely and clean. Our little daughter thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. The place was clean and well appointed with amenities. Best of all, when we realized we might end up arriving earlier then check in time, Alex promptly set us up to arrive a while hour and a half before time!

Our family had the most incredible weekend at Gina's beautiful home! First of all, a HEATED POOL makes all the difference, huge plus! We loved spending time in the backyard with so many beautiful outdoor areas to hangout with family, including your own private dock with a kayak! We were a little bummed the outdoor firepit wasn't working because we loved being outside so much but maybe next time. We hope to come back soon! We loved the big wooden table and big cozy couch for all 8 of us to enjoy time eating meals and playing games together! It was super convenient to have the grocery store just 6 minutes down the road as well. She was also extremely accommodating which made the stay even better!

A group of lifelong friends and I meet once a year for a long weekend to catch up, decompress, and spend time together. We chose San Francisco this year and after hunting on AirBnB we stumbled across this estate on JAR Farms. The host Nikki was proactive, helpful, and responsive. We arrived on Wednesday and drove to thru the gate into a lush oasis. The pictures on the listing didn't do the property justice. We arrived at the guest house to a welcome gift of wine, local honey, and snacks. We were a group of 6 adults and the guest house was cozy yet a perfect size for a reunion of friends. We were given a tour of the property showing us the boat house/beach, grand staircase to the bay overlook, the pool house (pool and hot tub), gardens, bee hives, and the many trails on the property. The mornings we hiked Monahan Trail at the adjacent Old St. Hillary's Preserve. In the afternoons we enjoyed the hot tub and a nice bbq dinner. Perfect weekend! HIGHLY recomended. Will be returning!

Had an excellent stay with our family. Will is one of the best airbnb hosts we have ever had and would stay again at this home or any other home he hosts without hesitation. The cactus home is luxurious and has amazing amenities like heated bathroom floors, great outdoor space with pool and hot tub, and a well equipped kitchen.

We enjoyed our stay so much. The deck and view were so beautiful. The home was spacious, clean and well stocked. The location was perfect for the places we wanted to visit and the neighborhood was quiet. We already want to go back!

Gorgeous setting, spacious, well appointed. Great space with views of redwoods throughout. Hosts were friendly and accommodating. They really thought of everything when setting up this place. The trails across the street are phenomenal, as are the neighborhood views. The village is a 5 min drive and one of my favorite little east bay pockets. We hope to return!

This was my second time staying at Karen's place and it was an absolute dream. Karen's place has all you need to live like a local in Oakland. The location was super convenient, and everything I could need was on hand. I can't recommend Karen's place enough, it's a wonderful home base.

Great stay! Stayed here for a few days for work. Suite was cute, clean, felt safe, and was a great value! Kristin was also really kind and held my luggage for a few hours when I checked out in the morning. Location is great, in an awesome neighborhood of Oakland that's a short walk to a Whole Foods, coffee shop, and Lake Merritt. About a 20 min walk to BART for those who need to go into SF. Only downside was that WiFi was a bit spotty for a few Zoom calls I was on -- would not plan on taking any major work Zoom calls from here.

Eugenia’s place and Eugenia and her husband are fantastic… One of the most comfortable organic cotton beds I’ve ever slept on, the most enchanting, beautiful property, and every appliance state of the art, efficient and intentional with the touch of love. Eugenia brought me teas, and various unconventional items I asked for. And the natural light and airflow were wonderful. And very healing and the most peaceful and healing neighborhood I’ve stayed at in the East Bay. For anyone looking for a healing retreat, Book this place as soon as possible

It was a clean and cozy space good for 1-2 people, all amenities as advertised. Tanya was great at responding in a timely manner whenever a a question/issue came up. I also got to briefly meet her dogs, which was a fun bonus:) I will mention, there is no climate control in the Airbnb; not a big deal, just something to be aware of when booking. There are extra blankets, an electric fireplace, and a little heater if it gets too cold, but I was actually in town over an unseasonably warm weekend so my way of cooling off the space was just opening the windows once it got nice enough out. There was a large fan under the bed to help circulate air as well if you want

The house was incredibly clean and the hosts were incredibly nice and responsive. There was no vacuum or broom in the place but I sent them a message and they dropped off a vacuum to our front door. They were very flexible and also allowed us a late check out which was so helpful! My family and I had a great time coming back to visit our hometown, and having a clean bnb with no-stress parking was a big factor.

Jennifer’s studio with minikitchenette was perfect for our two night stay. It is functional and nicely decorated. We found it to be very quiet. Jennifer is a great host as well. Thank you!

Stayed here for a little birthday weekend getaway and it was absolutely perfect! The space was very clean and relaxing. The tub and shower were especially to die for. Ansel was a wonderful host and has a great eye for design. He also provides youtube videos with instructions on the space which was incredibly helpful. Can’t recommend this space enough!
