What a spacious and beautiful home! We had plenty of room to spread out, we slept comfortably, and had a great time fishing the river off the back pier. The view from the living room/kitchen was wonderful, and the home as a whole was cozy. Thank you for your hospitality!

Wonderful stay! No fish, but it was just after alot of rain so the rivers probably bled in. We will try again another time! Very clean and so so relaxing :)

Overall had a great stay! A few things to note for future b&bers: The only staircase is a black spiral staircase, which was a little difficult for our older family members to manage. The cooking utensils/food storage is a bit on the sparse side, if you plan on doing a lot of cooking/having leftovers, you may want to bring some cheap plastic Tupperware! The bbq grill/beach gear leaves a lot to be desired! It has definitely seen the wear and tear of previous guests. Which isn’t a big deal, but not something to depend on using without some TLC. Overall our stay was amazing. It’s a dream location with amazing beach access. The beds were phenomenal, and I will miss how comfortable it was. Shannon was an amazing host and left fresh flowers and apothecary items for us leaving the whole place smelling amazing our whole visit. I would absolutely recommend Mermaid manor to anyone visiting the area!

We had a really great stay at Ben’s place. It was very clean and well decorated; they had tons of games which was a very pleasant surprise for our kids. The water in Surfside is GROSS, but Ben’s place had a reverse osmosis tap in the kitchen that we were able to use for brushing our teeth, washing baby bottles, drinking, etc. which was great.

Don't hesitate. BOOK THIS HOME! AMAZING RELAXING FAMILY TIME!!! We had a group of 15 staying at this beautiful home for family vacation. Ages from 4 yrs to 59 yrs. There was someting for all of us to do on the days that we didn't go out. The separate guest house was a plus for my Husband and I. The younger children enjoyed that there was toys and games available. The house was very roomy. I want to say what was my favorite part of the house, but I can't. Everything was great. I love the kitchen and everything being available for cooking. I love being able to sit on the back patio area/porch and watch the family fish. I loved eating breakfast with the family at the dining table while at the same time enjoy the view of the water. The Jacuzzi tub in the master bath.👍🏾 🥰 We had to communicate a few times concerning some things and the host responses was quick. We definitely will be back. 10/10

What a beautiful home! Everything you could possibly need for an amazing birthday weekend. The stairs were alot with pets and .y mom, but definitely worth it and would to return. Bring mosquito spray!

I honestly can not give enough stars! Stacy was so great the house was amazing! She was very accommodating with my pups! Honestly the only place I will stay if I come back to Huston! Great location close to food and the Bay Area! Got to the Astro game with no problem! I loved it there!

Tara was very responsive from the start and during our stay. The home was very clean access was perfect and the pool was awesome. Awesome game room downstairs with great AC, games darts and fun times. I would highly recommend this location.

We absolutely loved our stay here! This was one of the best Airbnb’s we have stayed in. The kitchen was fully stocked, the air worked perfect (this is a big deal in Galveston, I haven’t stayed in many where the house was cool the entire stay) and the hot water seemed to be never ending which was great with 4 teenage girls. We enjoyed kayaking, playing pickleball, and sitting out on the deck at night. The neighbors are super friendly and everyone is so welcoming. Can’t wait to go back!

The condo is well-stocked with dishes, cookware, and bathroom amenities. There is also a chest on the balcony containing a variety of recreational items for the beach. And there's a full-sized washer and dryer. I'll keep this on my list when I return.

This place is incredibly beautiful. I loved it, but my wife fell in love with it, so much that she told me we need to return as soon as possible. It's a place with such good vibes and a sense of peace we've rarely experienced in the past. The people who rented it that day are incredible! Very respectful and extremely friendly. It's very difficult to describe in words what it feels like to be there. Highly recommended!! See you soon, guys!

The beach house was exactly what we needed for a couple days! Carol was extremely responsive, even let us check-in a couple hours early! It’s just a few blocks away from the water, great location. The exterior paint is getting a little worn and run down (to be expected in a salt environment) but don’t let that worry you when you drive up! The inside is cute, clean & updated!

Austin is an awesome,humble person and his place is the coolest. so spacious and just perfect. we had my son's graduation party there with family and we all had an absolute blast l. we will definitely be back

Due to a small house fire, we've been relocated as our insurance company does a total home remodel. We've stayed with Sharon and Ben for several months. They've become like family to us and we'll be staying in touch once our home project is complete and we move back home. This is a perfect, cozy, quiet setting in old Alvin proper..... a trip into the past, including family-like neighbors, with whom we've made tamales and shared many hours of laughter and music. The cottage is pristine and well-furnished. The neiborhood is cute and, again, very quiet. This has been a blessing to us in so many ways. We're going to hate moving out!

We loved staying at Lizz’s place. Location is very convenient to Med Center/West U area, restaurants and any type of shopping you might need to do! Neighborhood is walkable and quiet. Lizz’s townhome is spacious, bright, comfy and peaceful, stocked with any essentials you’ll need other than groceries! Liz is an excellent host and very responsive to any questions. Adorable beach house in THE BEST location!! Literally a walk through the backyard and over a bridge through the dunes to the beach!! Loved that we shared this area with a few families that rented on the same row. Almost like having a private beach at times. The host was always super friendly in her communication! Will definitely consider rebooking this property if ever back in Surfside 🏖️
