Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Lake Anna

My family and I were very pleased with Eric and his lake house. It was perfect, clean, and very inviting. The home and location matched the pictures; in fact, it was better in person. Everything we wanted to do was there, we only went to the market. Eric was very attentive and when I had a question or a concern- he was quick to follow up and he was a great communicator. He responses were prompt and friendly. This meant everything to me. He did not act like a stranger; he welcomed us into his beautiful home. If I had my way, I'd still be there but work calls. I would highly recommend Eric and his lake house. I'm already talking to my husband about making plans to go back next year around the same time. If you're looking for a home beside the water with kayaks, grills, fire pit, and life jackets and close to beaches and most importantly a host who cares and will be attentive, check out this property and Eric. They both deliver.

The house was great! We were able to fit two 19 foot bass boats in the driveway, and could have fit 4 easily. The ramp is in the same neighborhood less than 2 minutes away with ample parking. The house is clean, and back porch is wonderful. This will be our new spot for our yearly tournaments.

We stayed here with some friends and all our small kids. The place was really clean and had all we needed - the kitchen was stocked with all the tools and basics you need for cooking, the property had plenty of space for the kids to play, the downstairs kept the kids occupied in the mornings, and there is a really nice dock to fish. Perhaps the best part was the ability to rent a boat directly from the owners for the weekend - we had an absolute blast doing this. Overall, this place was a great find, and a rare occurrence where i'd like to stay there again instead of trying something new (I usually don't prefer repeat rentals). The checkout procedure included doing the dishes, but the place has a dishwasher so it was ok, and checkout was at 11AM which is optimal. The house is clearly getting intermittent updates and upgrades, and feels very well taken care of and updated. Our only issue was with the outdoor video cameras which were monitored as we were staying at the place.

We stayed here with our Grandson and met up with friends at Christopher Run. This house was the perfect location for us. The house was clean and was everything we needed. The kitchen is well stocked with just about anything you would need. The AC worked great after spending our hot days on Lake Anna and it was especially nice to have a washer and dryer. Cathi was very pleasant and fast responding to any questions. We certainly made some core memories with our Grandson and look forward to visiting again. Becky

This Airbnb was perfect for a trip with 10 women for a relaxing lake get away. It was a huge house with plenty of space if someone needed some quiet or privacy. A well supplied kitchen — we were able to cook all our meals at home. The space had more amenities than we knew what to do with! And it was less than a ten minute drive from where we would pick up our boat rental. So convenient.

The property is brilliantly located, right on the lake. The Dock House was a perfect place to hang out and read, fish, watch T.V. and socialize. We especially liked that the home had sleeping amenities on all three floors, and private bathrooms. The downstairs area provided a perfect space for the kids to play games, and bunk up in bunk bed room. Lastly, the appliances were top of the line, the stove, oven, washer/dryer etc..

Beautiful log cabin with a very sweet family story. This place is quintessential of the "log cabin in the woods". The space was very clean and cozy. The oven operation was very easy but added a bit of delight to meal prep. We had a great weekend and would absolutely stay again

We (2 adults + 2 dogs) went for Thanksgiving week; we basically had Lake Anna to ourselves -- minus 2 of Mary's wonderful neighbors. The expansive property has tons of room for dogs to run, and the two neighbors we met had friendly dogs. Humans will love the firepit, screened porch, comfy outdoor, furniture, TV, bbq grill & smoker. Inside, there's TONS of room. The beds are comfortable & bedrooms are spacious, plus there are 2 full baths (1 w/tub), and a beautiful "French country" kitchen with which my wife fell in love. The kitchen had everything you'd expect/need and more like tons of spices, plenty of boxed/canned foods, a waffle maker, a Keurig w/pods, etc. We remarked numerous times how wonderful it was to have all this at hand (compared to other places we've stayed). There are toys for kids and dogs, a canoe, plenty of board games, and several TVs. It was a perfect, peaceful, and stress-free stay in a wonderful home; we'd choose it again without hesitation. Accommodations are definitely worth the cost. Apt is clean with many amenities. Great location for getting around Culpeper Co. Restaurants and supplies are close by. You’ll find this space much more like home than staying in a motel. Host is very responsive and helped with practical needs.

Okay, here's that review: "Wow, what a place! We just got back from a weekend getaway in Culpeper, Virginia, and I have to say, the room was just outstanding. The terrace was amazing, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or an evening drink. The room itself? Furnished to perfection! They really thought of everything, all the amenities you could ask for. And the towels? Plush, like you wouldn't believe. We will definitely be back. I also want to give a shout-out to our host, Joy. She was so responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. Really went above and beyond. If you're looking for a place to stay in Culpeper, this is it!"

This apartment was very homey and comfortable. I especially like the fact that it’s pretty private and the area is quiet. Eyleen is a very grey host. She’s very responsive and always made sure that I was enjoying my stay and if I needed anything to let her know. I can appreciate a host like her. Definitely recommend this apartment if you’re gonna be in the area.

Carlene and Allan were very kind and generous with the basket of goodies they provided, fruit, cereal, and a stocked fridge. It was so thoughtful and I was truly touched, especially since we had 4 kids with us. They gave us a quick run down when we arrived. We felt very comfortable in their space even with it being on their property. The address takes gps to a driveway that is a little down the property but it’s easy to navigate your way to the actual Airbnb space. I have already recommended this location to friends and family who visit Virginia often. We would stay again.

The cabin was wonderful! Very clean, lots of space, and great location. We can't wait to go back and enjoy everything the resort has to offer. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful location, up the hill from the water! Great fishing and easy to get around the local area! House was spotless and smelled clean when we walked in. Bed was comfortable! They've thought of everything! Will visit again!

Absolutely perfect! I can't say enough about the condo and the host!! The condo was roomy, extremely clean, and had everything we needed and more. Sam went above and beyond to ensure our stay was everything we were looking for! We are already looking at reserving our next stay!

Great stay. Beautiful location. Many activities. The 2 bedroom Yurt was gorgeous and came with everything we needed. You need to keep in mind that this is not a cabin and walls are thin. Be aware of your noise level after dark! Would definitely recommend this unique stay. I'll be coming again!

I highly recommend staying here! The pictures truly don't do it justice. The condo was extremely spacious, spotless, and comfortable. The location is unbeatable — just 50 feet from an outdoor rental service where we easily rented kayaks, about a 7-minute drive to the local State Park, and only 10 minutes from a variety of incredible restaurants. I’m already looking forward to visiting again!

Jonnathan's place is a beautiful, clean, spacious condo conveniently located next to the marina. We so enjoyed our stay & having a designated boat slip to dock our boat was an extra added bonus! Absolutely perfect place to stay for a weekend lake getaway! We are already looking forward to our next stay!
