Family-friendly vacation rentals in Lake Anna

Our hostess, Tina, was easily available over a call or chat. The place is located at a serene location with a lot of horses around. We fed a few apples to the horses and the kids really enjoyed the whole experience. We also used the firepit under the open wide sky, it was very cozy. Gordonsville town was just 10 mins drive away with amenities like gas stations, 7-Eleven, Foodlion, etc. The house is beautifully decorated and has all the listed amenities. While we were cutting my nephew's birthday cake, our dog slipped into the master bedroom and damaged the comforter on the bed (a 3-4 inches long rip). We informed the same to Tina the next morning and offered to pay for the damages but she was very polite with us and mentioned that such incidentals are usually included in the cost and she'll let the owner know - if needed, he'll contact me. We really appreciate this gesture and would highly recommend their place for a beautiful holiday experience.

The house was well kept and had everything we needed. We loved the amount of space for our family of 5! The patio, deck with grill and fire pit were wonderful additions. The area and yard were beautiful. Such a wonderful getaway!

Was perfect for our one night stay. We were traveling and needed a half way point to home. My daughter loves horses and it was dog friendly which we needed for our family. Was a great spot to stay at.

The cabin on the lake was relaxing, comfortable and a great central place for allowing us to visit the historic Civil War battlefields in the area, Monticello and close enough to Washington D.C.to enjoy two days of sightseeing there. We enjoyed sitting on the rocking chairs on the cabin porch and watching the fishermen in their boats, the birds and especially the swan who came to visit us.

This was our second time to the farm and I can not think of a better way to welcome the New Year with our children and grand children. The kids LOVE the farm and everyone we encountered couldn't have been nicer. We walked along the farm road everyday feeding carrots to the horses. There were babies this year as an extra bonus. ALSO on one of our walks we came upon a heard of PUPPIES! Small children and puppies couldn't have been cuter. The house was decorated for Christmas so we could put our presents under the tree for our belated family Christmas. Everything was amazing. Our Host Tina responded quickly to everything we needed. I hope we get to return soon.

My siblings and I had a great stay visiting family in the area. This magical horse farm was very friendly and th house was beautifully comfortable for work and plày.

Had a lovely stay at this horse farm Airbnb! The property was beautiful and the horses were stunning. Great experience overall. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature and lovely animals.

This was the perfect place for a peaceful night getaway! Only downside was the mosquitos/ticks during the summer months being so close to water, so plan accordingly! Hosts were responsive, flexible, and friendly! Would definitely stay again😊

We had a great time at the place, the kids loved the lake, which is so close! We cooked our meals in a very nice kitchen, and used the grill outside, and the fire pit. Took the kids on the 2 kayaks outside, and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the are. Kate is a great host, very lovely and responsive.

A beautiful, healing nature retreat with a supportive host. Camping on Darlene's land was an awesome experience. I loved exploring the creek and all the cool rocks, shells, nests, and animal tracks. You can follow it all the way down to the river and find lots of great little camping spots and other hidden gems along the way. This nature medicine combined with being able to relax in the sauna made it a wonderful few days of self care and healing. Darlene also offered an intro session in pathwork that really resonated with me as well as took me to tour a nearby regenerative farm. It was great and I will definitely be back!

This stay is lovely and convenient. We wanted a last minute getaway and it was easy to book and be sure everything would be ready for when we arrived later that day. Description is very accurate. If we stayed again, we would leave our dog at home. There are somewhat steep stairs going to the loft and our 65 lb pupper with iffy joints was nervous coming down them. No problem for fully able humans, though!

Adrian’s Cabin was an absolute gem! I was searching for a secluded cabin to spend the night, and Adrian’s Cabin exceeded my expectations in every way. The cabin was spotlessly clean, and the hostess was incredibly attentive, ensuring that I had everything I needed. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning to stay again!

The Corn Crib was a last minute booking for an overnight on a longer trip and were so sad it was just 1 night! The property is absolutely gorgeous and we look forward to coming back!

We had a wonderful stay at the lake house on Lake Anna in Mineral, VA! The place suited our needs perfectly, and then some! The home is perfectly situated for an amazing view of the lake and even though there were lots of steps leading down to the water (and back up), our time playing on the lake was Fabulous. The house itself was great. A fantastic and well-equipped kitchen helped us prepare meals for the family, and the grill was clean and easy to use. We had everything we needed to sleep as well. Comfortable beds and plenty of covers for cool mornings. Oh.. and the fire pit was great with the provided wood. We all had several fires late into the evening which was a perfect way to cap off a lovely day. Don't hesitate! Book now. You won't be sorry.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful property on Lake Anna. We had 4 young children and 3 adults for our trip. We had plenty of space in the home, and the beach area was perfect for our children to swim. In addition to swimming off the beach, we enjoyed boating, tubing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. It was so nice to have kayaks and paddle boards included on the property. When we weren’t outside we spent a lot of time on the screened-in porch. Evenings were spent down on the dock with a drink watching the sun go down on comfortable chairs. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding area as well. We ate at four different restaurants. Had no problem stocking up groceries at Food Lion and grabbing a few things when needed from Dollar General. The surrounding wildlife was big plus. We saw some cool birds and saw deer going across the property at dusk. It was our first trip to Lake Anna but won’t be our last.

What a wonderful house and pleasant experience at the Riddick House at Stevenson Ridge! We came for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary and it was perfect. We will be coming back and highly recommend to everyone! Great hosts, quick and easy communication made our stay enjoyable!

The home is gorgeous, scenery serene, and neighborhood peaceful. It was wonderful to be able to have a space to host three generations for a special occasion. Everyone enjoyed their stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at Spy Hill House. The house is beautiful, we loved sitting on the patio listening to nature. We felt like we were really off the beaten path, while still being close to restaurants and activities. I loved that the house held on to 18th century charm while subtly incorporating modern conveniences. It was filled with thoughtful amenities, and was definitely better than a luxury hotel. We were interested in reading the history of the property and appreciated the suggestions of things to do. Will definitely stay at Stevenson Ridge again in the future, and look forward to checking out the other charming cottages and cabins there. Highly recommend! The Bedford cabin was very well appointed,. There were warm and plush robes in each bedroom and ample supply of towels and bathroom essentials. The beds were beyond comfortable. The main bathroom was very spa like with a large side tub that my 6’ 4” husband was able to relax in. The cabin was extremely comfortable, had well thought out furnishings and the decorations were pleasing. The communication with Jennifer was top notch. They also offered different amminity packages for purchase. I would come here to this property again. 10 out of 10 stars!

Michelle‘s home was a perfect getaway for me and my family. Everyone felt cozy in their beds and we took advantage of the grill and the lovely bonfire that was outside. it was an incredible reset for my family who doesn’t get much of a chance to bond. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. My family is already thinking about how we will rent it next summer.
