Lake house vacation rentals in Lac de Chalain

We spent a week in the house in June with 2 children aged 12 and 14. On 3 floors, everyone had the opportunity to retreat and we could sit together very well in the dining room, in the cozy living room and even on the small balcony. Chris immediately took care of our concerns and gave great tips. The lake is a 5-minute walk away, the bakery too. The beds in the accommodation are comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need to cook on vacation. The windows have shutters on the outside, which we greatly appreciated. For us with older children, it was the ideal place to stay and we highly recommend it. You can also see from the design with colors, wallpaper, furniture, etc. that Marine and Chris have thought about the accommodation.

We had a wonderful stay at Carole’s. The house is large and very spacious. She made us feel very welcome and was very accommodating to our needs given we had two young children. The pool was lovely and my girls loved the trampoline! The house is very well located allowing us to explore the village and the local area in France and Switzerland. Carole you have a beautiful home, thank you for sharing it with us. xx

We had a wonderful stay! The garden is huge and beautifully maintained – ideal for relaxing and playing for children. The private access to the lake was an absolute highlight and made our vacation perfect. The house is a bit older in terms of the interior, but very charming and it did not bother us at all. For large groups, it would have been nice to have a way to eat together outdoors, but that didn't detract from our experience. Carol and Gabriel were great hosts – very friendly, helpful and always quickly available. We will be happy to come back.

Family stay in this beautiful house. Incredible house and garden where the decoration is a delight for the eyes with a mix of modern and old. A very large living area whether in the living rooms or the night and toilet areas, so you can live with several people without disturbing each other. Not to mention the garden... There are small lounges everywhere where everyone can isolate themselves if they wish and enjoy the calm of the countryside, the magnificent fauna and flora. Very functional, well-equipped house. Not to mention the very warm welcome from Jean-Pierre and Véronique upon arrival. Quick responses to our messages before we arrive. In short, an incredible stay, a beautiful place that we recommend!

Completely amazing! I came with a few friends for two birthdays and it was exactly what we wanted - an incredible view, we woke up every morning still thinking it wasn’t real! Lots of places to either sun bathe or hide from the sun, easy to get to the lake, quiet, just excellent. Kevin was also incredibly helpful!

A fantastic retreat right on the lake – with plenty of privacy, ideal for relaxing and enjoying. The lovingly renovated house impresses with its original furnishings and its very own charm. The well-kept garden invites you to linger and play. Particularly practical is the location: shopping, public transport and beautiful excursion destinations are easily accessible (also on foot). All around a perfect place for a relaxing getaway.

We had a great weekend at this cottage near Lake Vouglans. The accommodation was clean, well-equipped and very functional, perfect for relaxing in peace and discovering the beautiful Jura region. Annie and Sylvain are very friendly and available. Very good communication with them. We would recommend it without hesitation.

Had a very pleasant stay enjoyed the barbecue and the swimming a spa/jacuzzi is also available though we could figure out how to get it on.

We had a great time at Sarah's place. A real cocoon in a beautiful environment. The apartment was super clean, quality bedding as well as linens were available. The apartment is perfectly equipped too. An excellent property that I would undoubtedly recommend to all hiking lovers because many hiking trails are within walking distance from this cottage. And finally, Sarah is very attentive and responsive!

We had a lovely week despite the weather. The place is very relaxing, quiet and beautiful. It is ideally located in view of the activities to do. The cottage is impeccably clean, very modern and functional. The enclosed garden for dogs is welcome and allows them to be taken out very easily. Christelle is very friendly, warm and human, we could have stayed to chat for hours! Thanks!

Charlene hosted us very well. The accommodation is very well-equipped, quiet and comfortable. She provided great information about activities in the surrounding area. And was particularly nice to drive us to do a very nice hike. Excellent!!!

We had a lovely stay at Amandine's place. Functional kitchen with all the necessary equipment to be able to make small meals like at home! The apartment was spotless! Clean, tidy, ready to move in. Amandine was understanding and available during the discussions! Small +: 2-minute walk from a path (which can go up to the beautiful Lake Bonlieu) 1 min walk to a small stream Perfect if you want to bring your four-legged friends 🐶 So don't hesitate! Looking forward to coming back to this cottage!

Our stay was amazing at Veronique's place. We came with four girls with the intention to relax and enjoy French life, and we succeeded! A kitchen with lots of stuff to cook, nice outdoor place where we could eat wonderfully privately, and the shared pool where we could go. The house is very picturesque and Veronique was a very nice hostess. Thank you so much for the hospitality and who knows, see you in the future!

Beautiful cottage, very well equipped and decorated. Both indoor and outdoor spaces are spacious and well thought out. Impeccable cleanliness. Nestled in a green setting, an extremely quiet and soothing place. Excellent starting point for visiting the area (by motorbike, it's pure joy). We had a great time with friends, we'll be back!

We had a relaxing weekend in the beautiful house and the fantastic terrace with a great seating area. The house is very nicely decorated and is located in an absolutely quiet environment. Just the right thing for us after a long trip. Dijon is 35 minutes away. We felt very comfortable.

Access to the house was clear. We followed the GPS. The keys were in a box as indicated. The house is very clean, bright and sober in terms of decoration. Super amenities (washing machine, iron, TV) The wifi works great and the TV too. Comfortable bedding. Very quiet place with views of the ponds. Small terrace to enjoy the calm.
