Lake house vacation rentals in France

We had a nice weekend. Beautiful setting, with a superb view of the Seine . Beautiful decor.

Stayed at Sophie & David’s place on the way down to Saumur and we are so glad we did. The place was lovely & very clean. Garden was ideal for our little dog who was secure at all times. The location was stunning, very quiet and pleasant. Lovely little spot. Tight squeeze getting to the property if you have a big car but we managed. Sophie & David were very responsive and helpful. Would highly recommend especially if you’ve got a dog.

Everything has already been said. The fisherman's house is located in an idyllic place and in an Olympian calm. We felt immediately at ease and Denys' welcome was very warm and friendly. Admittedly, some maintenance work is necessary, but as Denys says, various external factors mean that this is not always possible. But the feeling of living in symbiosis with nature makes you forget these small disadvantages.

Our family of four enjoyed everything about our night at Remy’s marine-themed ranch. From the masterfully crafted wood furniture to the decor and lighting, we sensed the care that had been put into building and furnishing the ranch. The large bunk bed was a perfect sleeping arrangement for us and all slept soundly on comfortable bedding. In the morning we got to know the white horse on the property and already the children want to go back! A warmly recommended lodging.

Beautiful stopover in this property full of charm and character. Our cottage was a real cozy little nest. Access to the banks of the magical Seine in the early morning mist. Olivier is a real Abnb host, attentive, flexible and responsive. We would definitely stay again to discover the other cottages or find the Nest!

The location of this accommodation is perfect for discovering the bay of Mont Saint Michel. The house and large garden are very well maintained. Everything was perfect, we didn't miss anything. Dominique is a very friendly, pleasant and helpful host. She told us about the surroundings very quickly, and gave us all the information we needed before and during our stay. Very attentive to our needs. We thank Dominique very much for her hospitality and all her small touches that made our stay unforgettable. We felt right at home and our exchanges were very friendly. We'll be happy to go back!

A lovely cottage with idyllic surroundings. Very peaceful, right in the heart of the Morvan with an abundance of walks nearby. The dogs loved their break just as much as we did!

We had a great time at Paul's house. The views are magnificent, the pool is too. The living and dining area is open and bright and very suitable for groups. Also the division of the bedrooms. You have the option to retreat if you want. Paul was always available and gave us helpful tips. His father was also very friendly. Both speak good English. We will be happy to come back anytime!

What a beautiful location and house. We were stopping for just one night on route south and this was a perfect place to relax, cook dinner and cool off in the lake.

I can’t say enough about how lovely this loft is! Really beautiful in person beyond what the photos are able to show and is much bigger too. The hosts were so kind to let us check in much earlier after we arrived from a long drive which was so helpful. Really lovely welcome, spotlessly clean and was the perfect place to relax mid road trip for the night.

I had a great time at the house which is very spacious and has a lot of charm with natural materials. Ana is a responsive and very friendly hostess. I would recommend this accommodation which allows you to visit very interesting sites: Auvers sur Oise, the castle of Monte Cristo and the house of Zola in Sedan...

I spent three peaceful nights here and couldn’t have asked for more. The house is cozy and beautifully located with mountain views and a stunning terrace complete with a fireplace — perfect for unwinding. Janette was a warm and generous host, taking the time to show me around the property and the region, with helpful recommendations and maps. The house is easily accessible by car and ideal for both short and longer stays. note that it seemed like the nearby town doesn’t have much in terms of shops or restaurants, so having a car makes all the difference. Highly recommend!

Marion and Damien are very pleasant and friendly hosts. It was Damien who welcomed us, a warm welcome. The accommodation is great, identical to the photos, you can find the history of the work that has been done, again congratulations, it's beautiful. Everything was perfectly clean. The setting is quiet and soothing, the Seine and the countryside nearby are super nice and very beautiful. Damien responds very quickly and is attentive to the smallest detail. It was wonderful to stay in a home connected to the history of the Loire area and its architecture. We loved the elegant, tall windows, the high ceilings, the wide hallways, the fire places, the lovely lounge and dining rooms, the views of the climbing roses from the bedrooms along the back side of the house, the spacious, main bedroom and the large garden with it comfortable furniture. We ate outside and enjoyed the garden. The kitchen is pretty but a little narrow for a couple of people to work in there at the same time. It is well equiped, with everything you need to prepare meals. The main bathroom is spacious. The second bathroom is bath only with shower attachment in the bath. It was fine for us. The house is decorated with soft, pastel wall paper and is quite sparse in its decoration which I loved because I could enjoy the structures of the home without them being hidden by too much decoration. We loved our stay and would stay again. Carol also kindly looked after us.

We absolutely loved our stay at Chateaux de Jean. It was a heavenly 4 days on this beautiful estate and the accommodation has everything we needed. It was a dream come true to stay in a chateaux in France.

Fantastic location with a wonderful view, there is a very charming courtyard where you can have lunch or dinner or a tiny balcony with a view of the lake and beautiful hills, the inside of the cottage is very charming and you will find everything you’ll need for holiday break!, we will definitely be returning to this magical place!

Beautiful and unique house, exactly as pictured in photos. Sadly we only had 1 night here before continuing our journey home but would love to stay again. Willy was a great host, friendly and prompt to reply
