Kid-friendly vacation rentals in La Chapelle-sur-Loire

We felt very lucky to be able to stay in Catherine's beautiful gite. We were made so welcome from the minute we arrived. The gite is calm, clean and beautifully decorated. We especially enjoyed sitting in the garden listening to the birds and the silence. The pool was a welcome retreat during the hottest part of the day. The many trees create areas of shade whilst the flowers add colour in the many different pockets of interest. We would thoroughly recommend Catherine's gite and would love to return ourselves one day.

Franck’s property was impeccable, and the natural environment surrounding it was peaceful and so lovely. Franck greeted us warmly and was responsive to questions throughout the stay. The home was spacious and well-stocked. We stayed during an especially warm time, and Franck supplied a portable A/C unit and fan for the upstairs, so we slept comfortably. We would definitely stay again!

stayed at Cyril's cottage in Benais and everything was wonderfully stocked and clean with all the conveniences you have at home. The cottage is a 2 storey older building with a completely renovated kitchen. Beds were comfortable. Because of the winding staircase I would not recommend the cottage for people with mobility issues. We are 75 years old and were able to manage the stairs. Cyril was very helpful explaining the features of the cottage and also provided some tips of chateaus to visit. I recommend this place.

We had a wonderful break in this accommodation. Such a lovely location and the house is clean and comfortable with everything you need. The village is beautiful and people are friendly. Maxime was a great host. We will hopefully be back soon.

‘Le Barn’, in the grounds of Chateau Belebat, is a charming accommodation which is beautifully and tastefully presented by the engaging hosts Jeff and Oscar. It is a peaceful, rural location, ideal as a base from which to explore this area of the Loire by car. For those on 2 wheels, it is worth mentioning the cycle path close by which connects to the local village with the all important Boulanger just 2km away from Le Barn. The nearby town of Richelieu is worth a visit and there are numerous other attractions in the locality. We picnicked by the river, tasted and bought wine in various Chateaux, explored Saumur, Chinon, Amboise, and several smaller villages, discovered charming restaurants, explored local markets and toured some of beautiful Chateaux gardens. Overall a wonderful spot although the little seating area outside Le Barn is not particularly private or comfortable if one wanted to chill/sleep/read a book in complete peace for an hour or two after a hard day sightseeing.

We had a lovely stay with our family (children 1 and 3 years old). The house is located in the countryside and therefore wonderfully quiet. For the children there was plenty to do both indoors and outdoors: toys, games, a nice garden: really ideal for young children. There are also plenty of fun outings and places to explore in the area. Everything was clean, tidy and well maintained. We really enjoyed the tranquility, space and child-friendliness. Recommended!

We had a great time at Coraline's! The place is beautiful and peaceful, which is exactly what we were looking for. A little slice of heaven amongst the trees. As for housing, one word: perfection. Everything is designed for visitors, you can't miss anything and it's sparkling clean. Coraline's welcome was very warm with great kindness and advice! She told us everything there was to see in the area. This is the best stay we've had so far and we highly recommend it. We'll be happy to go back!

What a gem! The Red House sits perfectly nestled in the picturesque, quaint medieval village of Chinon with close access to restaurants, shops, and parking at the bottom of a sloped cobblestone street. From the door of the lodging you can walk up to the fortress in about 5 minutes! We were charmed by this historic home and comfortable during our stay. The rooms were clean, well appointed, and provided for all of our needs. Please note that the staircase to get up to the Airbnb is steep and uneven.

The apartment had a lot of character and well located. One issue was that with 4 people the one bathroom was something that had to be negotiated between us, but it worked out. There is little free on street parking, but the pay rate for parking is not bad. Very accommodating host. Worked out well for us.

Best Airbnb ever. Finally!!! Alleluiah;) An Airbnb where people have thought of all the little things, we feel at home;) Go there without a second thought. Extremely clean, convenient, top bathroom, no hot water limit as often ;) Etc etc... In summary, perfect. Enjoy your stay everyone ;)

Good experience. The place was as described. Very nice, well arranged, very warm and functional. The bed is very large and access to the garden (a real little green oasis) is a real bonus. The only downside could be the parking. At times when the neighborhood is busy, it is rather difficult to find a place to park near the accommodation. I would definitely recommend it for a stay in Saumur.

We had a great time at Stéphanie and Nicolas's. The apartment is cozy and quiet, great location for visiting Tours without needing to take the car. We were warmly welcomed by Nicolas who took the time to advise us on the different monuments to visit and the restaurants nearby. We would happily stay again and would definitely recommend Le Ouistiti!

Our family of 4 had a wonderful overnight stay here. Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Conny met us at the flat ahead of time and made sure we had everything we need. We loved having 2 bathrooms. Close to everything in Tours. Only suggestion is for a pillow and towel refresh. We would definitely stay here again!
