Traditional old fisherman's house from 1794. Everything you need is here. The house is fully renovated and has all needed amenities including washer and dryer. Located only 2mins walk from a nice beach and the lovely yacht club with a great restaurant. The house has one double bed and a single bed, but one extra bed can be set up if needed, so a total of 4 people can stay. The car (VW Up) can also be rented. We really enjoyed staying in Denmark. The fireplace invites you to cozy evenings, the sunrise by the sea is fantastic and the accommodation has everything you need. The excellent contact with Michelle and her assistance in our concerns should be emphasized. Slippers are recommended and stocking up on wood as well. It gets cold very quickly, especially the kitchen floor. A wood ration is provided in the accommodation. Thanks, Michelle - we'll be happy to come back!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Kirsten's! The place was just as charming as described – quietly located, with direct access to the lake and perfectly equipped for our fishing trip. Particularly nice was the possibility to go on the water by canoe and rowboat directly from your own property. Kirsten is an exceptionally warm and helpful host. She provided us with all the important information in advance, was always available and took care of everything with so much attention to detail – from boat licenses to maps. Just great! The house was cozy, clean and had everything we needed – including a well-equipped kitchen, freezer and grill. And little extras like firewood were also available. We felt completely comfortable and would come back anytime! Thank you for everything, dear Kirsten! 🙏🏼

I consider my stay with Steen to be very successful. A beautiful place surrounded by nature, close to the sea. An ideal place for someone who wants to feel peace, quiet and contact with nature. Steen is very hospitable and will definitely do everything to make you feel good. A very nice and helpful person. If there were available dates, I would book accommodation again. I recommend!

We were very excited about this place. Nicely renovated old stable with everything you need for a stay. And then it is wonderfully located in the middle of the Funen nature with lovely peace and quiet. Lone, our hostess was top notch. We arrived one late night, and then homemade cake was ready for us. There was also coffee and tea and in the fridge was beer, water, homemade jams, freshly laid eggs and roll sausage. There were bowls in the freezer. SO lovely. She was very hospitable and offered to use her sun loungers, etc. if we wanted to. In addition, she was nice to tell us about the area and recommend different places we should see. This was our fifth trip to Denmark and the Copenhagen area. This villa and this host were the absolute best experience thus far! The villa was immaculate and very private, our granddaughters loved the hot tub and the garden with the trampoline. Highly recommend!

We had the most wonderful Ascension weekend at Vestergaard with Kirsten as host. It all went super easy. The cottage is very charmingly renovated and with many good rooms where you can easily sleep many. The kitchen is well-equipped and everything works properly. Vestergaard is also very conveniently located if you have a car/bicycle with you. You are located in the middle of the island, so all edges of Ærø can be reached within a short distance. Huge recommendation from here.
