The apartment was very tastefully decorated, and it was not only beautifully designed but also very well thought out in the layout and furnishing. The wide living room sofa was inviting to rest and even ideal for a nap. The bedroom is small but adequate, the bed comfortable. I was able to store everything well in the closet. The kitchen is well-equipped, it really has everything you need for cooking. Only a larger pan was missing. The bathroom was super clean and a place to relax and feel at ease. Since I am already over 70 years old and visited a much older friend in Gera, it was important to me that the apartment is at ground level. The parking situation is good during the day, in the evening you can't always find a parking space close to the apartment, but you have to switch to side streets. I was irritated at first that you didn't have an unobstructed view to the outside. This is due to the location in the city.

The accommodation is located on the top floor of a senior residential building, which means the view is great, in the building it is quite quiet and you are perfectly connected to public city transport. I myself was there by bike, which can also be connected. Due to the older target group, there are practical accessories from the shower stool to the mini dishwasher and real TV chairs. On 27 square meters there is everything you need for a short stay. At the reception someone is available until 9:30pm and in the in-house roof cafe there are even coffee specialties (but only until 4 pm ;-) and maybe even a nice chat with one of the elderly residents. I felt very comfortable and not out of place and was able to work well concentrated there, also thanks to the far view. It was just a little cold on foot, but it's now helped with a pair of mules. For Gera culture travelers or visitors to their relatives, the Florentine residential complex is highly recommended!
