Lake side house rentals in Koontz Lake

We loved staying at Rowshell! It was exactly the sort of peaceful escape we hoped. We were especially appreciative of the thoughtful layout of the houseboat, the ability to use the kayaks and smoker/fire pit, and the accessibility of nearby wineries. It’s not a quick drive to get to restaurants or other destinations (with the exception of the handful right around Rowshell) but the countryside was beautiful and the secluded nature of this stay added to the overall ambiance. I do agree with previous posters that guests with back problems might want to pack a mattress pad; me and my husband did not have any problems, but it is a firm surface. Otherwise, you truly need to pack very little for your trip. There’s even a little container of pancake mix! John and Lec were exceptionally kind and hospitable. I’ll be dreaming about falling asleep to the gentle rocking of Rowshell every night until we make it back!

An absolutely beautiful stay! Many amenities to make it a comfortable stay! Beautifully decorated! Comfortable bed! Wonderful nights spent n the relaxing hot tub! Enjoyed a great fire pit one night too. Loved the private beach-so peaceful and relaxing! Looking forward to coming back!

This is our third time staying at The Cottage and we would come back any time. Hannah is fantastic. So friendly and flexible and always graciously allows us to bring our dog, Leo, with us when we come and stay. This is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a peaceful place while visiting Sawyer, St. Joe, New Buffalo, etc. Thanks again for another wonderful stay, Hannah!

We have stayed 5 times and each time Joe has been so easy to deal with and a great host. One time we left some laundry and he worked with us to get it back. The location is perfect. If you're a Culver family this is great for Parents Weekends, drop off and graduation. It's perfect to share with another family. We are glad we found this house! Thank you, Joe!

The place is GORGEOUS. Extremely spacious & as a reader I really dug the window reading nook. We got to see some super cool moths when we arrived & their little eggs. The place had a nice outside seating area which was where we ate most meals & had our morning coffee. It was extremely serene.

As always, we had a wonderful time! The weather was perfect and we were able to rest and relax the entire time, don’t pass this one up.

This is our second stay in this home. Quaint, clean, and in the heart of New Buffalo. We loved that our dog could join us! Plenty of towels, linens, cleaning supplies, and amenities that made our stay comfortable. I highly recommend!

I rented Leah's home for my son's. They love to fish and Leah's home was the perfect place. They enjoyed the pontoon boat and sitting around the bonfire. The house was clean and kitchen equipped with everything needed for their weekend of grilling. Leah was a perfect host. Thank you, Michelle

This house was so beautiful and was a perfect place to spend a girl’s weekend! Would recommend over and over again and would definitely stay here again! Mike was also very quick at responding (even on the weekend) and when something wasn’t right he was very quick it fix it.

This place was amazing for our family vacation. The goal was to spend family time together & there was plenty for us all to do. Lots of outdoor activities in nature! The beach was great for adult hang-out & games of spike ball (which we brought), & fun in the sand for the kids. Loved our pontoon boat rides & campfires as well. The indoor pool was great anytime day & night & was always a good back up in case it we had rain. The common areas were large enough for us to all have space & there was plenty of sleeping room. We had an amazing time & will definitely revisit. Ryan was courteous & quick to respond. Absolutely loved this trip!

We had an amazing stay to celebrate a milestone birthday with my extended family! The house comfortably fit 4 families and a labradoodle and was excellent for the 5 kiddos. The heated pool and hot tub were fantastic for cooler than expected temperatures Memorial Day weekend and kept the kids entertained. We opted to cook and grill at the house and had everything we needed. The house is also super close to the beautiful New Buffalo beach. We will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at Jennifer’s house! It was clean, great location & cozy! We especially loved the automatic pool cover so we could actually relax on vacation with our little ones running around. I also loved the three separate areas outside (pool, fire pit, grassy area). The separate areas offered a nice change of scenery to break up the day without leaving the house. I also loved that it’s a spacious ranch style house, so was easy to keep eyes on the kids. Jennifer was a wonderful & accommodating host & can’t wait to get back to her house soon! Thanks for having us!

Beautiful quaint place to stay in Winona Lake just steps away from the lake, beach and the village. Nice back yard to have a meal and relax. The cottage is beautifully finished and decorated. Would definitely stay again.

We had an absolutely amazing stay. Leroy was very friendly, helpful, and responsive, and the property was wonderful. It was clean and cozy and Koontz Lake is beautiful. I hope to stay here again in the future!

This was a great stay for my dad’s lifelong dream of going to a home game at Notre Dame. Miranda was responsive and helpful. The space was immaculate and the view was beautiful. I highly recommend Miranda’s place! Thank you so much for having us!

We had a great 1 night stay here. It was just as described and the location is a very short walk to a coffee shop, the restaurants on the Main Street, and all the antique shops. Everything was very clean, the kitchen was well equipped, and very comfy bed.

What a gem! And 3 very kind, friendly, generous hosts made our mother-daughter trip the best ever. The cabin was pristine and included unexpected extras. We felt so welcome to be there. The farm is beautiful, and the cabin has multiple comfortable seating areas for enjoying nature. We learned how peaceful it is to sit near the babbling creek and gentle waterfall and watch the adorable little goats go about their daily routine. Yet it was an easy drive to good restaurants and Lake Michigan. I dont have enough space to tell you how wonderful this place is. Just go there. We will certainly return.

Perfect Lakeside Oasis! Our family had an amazing stay at this lakeside house. Plenty of room and activities for everyone. We especially enjoyed getting out on the lake with the canoe. Hope to visit again sometime.

We had a beautiful, peaceful stay at Karissa’s cabin. Lots of natural lighting, spacious unit, and lovely amenities like WiFi, jacuzzi, kitchen appliances, and washer/dryer. There are a lot of nearby stores for any last minute groceries or shopping. The views were absolutely stunning. I would recommend staying here and would absolutely come back again but in the warmer season to explore that trails here! Thank you for having us at your cabin! We had such a nice, relaxing stay.

Can’t say enough great things about this place! So peaceful and has the best view of the lake ! The added kayaks and canoe was great as well!

Cabin in Knox, IN was a perfect getaway for my father & son. We had a great time connecting grandpa & grandson. Plenty to do with wildlife near by, fishing, campfire, and of course time to relax. We had our pet Duke with us, and it is perfect for a dog to also relax and get some fresh country air. Highly recommended for a private getaway.
