As a base for sightseeing in Azumino, Hakuba, and Kamikochi, you can enjoy a comfortable stay for one night or for extended periods. Access to Hakuba, Kamikochi, and Tateyama-Kurobe is also good, and it can accommodate group trips, family trips, and long-term stays. With a washing machine and a bathroom dryer, it's also comfortable for extended stays. You can come by public transportation, but having a car is more convenient. Free pick-up and drop-off are available from Shinano-Matsukawa Station and Akashina Station. Other pick-up and drop-off services and sightseeing pick-up and drop-off services are available for 2,000-8,000 yen (round trip) depending on the distance, within 2 hours one way. It is 60 minutes by Shinkansen from Tokyo to Karuizawa, and 30 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station, so you can work in the morning and take a half-day off in the afternoon, for example.
