A wonderful place where we were able to explore and see the northern lights from, the cabin was great and had everything we needed!

What an amazing place to stay 👏🏼 directly at the lake. Enjoy sauna, ice bath and very warm inside the house even at -35 degrees outside. Very responsive and friendly host to answer questions 😊

Comfortable three nights on a ski vacation. The cottage was clean, cozy, and well-equipped. We enjoyed and relaxed. I love it when the ski left the backyard. It was good to go to Oulanka National Park and winter activities. Peace of mind. The grill house in the yard was nice, even though we didn't have time to test it yet. We'd love to come back again. Lotta was always quick to respond.

We spent four days at the property in January 2025. The cabin was very lonely located on a frozen lake very idyllic and quiet. You could rest completely, without any traffic noise. It was fantastically beautiful, there was a lot of snow on site in January. Especially the sauna was very nice, the extra fees for the HotTub were a bit too high in my opinion, as the cabin was priced higher. It was also not that easy to put it into operation with wood. The main cabin was very well furnished, the kitchen super equipped. With a passr shopping, you could eat yourself very well. However, if you want restaurants or supermarkets nearby, you should book somewhere else, as you had to drive 10-15 minutes here by car. It was so perfect for us. The beds very comfortable, ideal for a family with 4 children. The TV is a little too small for the size of the room.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean, modern, and had an absolutely amazing view. Kitchen was also well equipped. The host was very responsive and communicated quickly whenever we had questions. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend it!

We had an amazing stay! The property was impeccably clean and well-maintained. The location couldn’t have been better, 5 minutes from the Ruka Ski Station, making it incredibly convenient. I highly recommend this place without hesitation!

This stay was MAGIC! We cannot thank Lotta and her team enough! It is incredibly romantic. It offers everything you could wish for. All the kitchen supplies, dishwasher, washing machine, sauna, snowshoes, a hut for cooking over a fire. Your own access to the lake. It feels like you and nature. We were also able to observe one of the most powerful boreal auras ever seen (by us) two nights in a row. The sauna and the dip in the snow renewed our energy. Lotta was really nice and answered all our questions quickly, making us feel cared for. We leave our hearts and souls here and wish you, too, the chance to get in touch with this magical land.

Compact, cozy, incredible peace, reindeer on the nearby road

The log cabin is cozily furnished and has everything you need for relaxing days in Finland. We stayed here with our two small children (1 and 3 years) and felt very comfortable. From the sauna, you have a great view of the lake. Boating was a highlight for our children and there are even life jackets for the little ones (0 - 15 kg). The contact with Olga was super straightforward.

Very well-equipped cottage and beautifully decorated. The environment is peaceful, yet at a suitable distance from the larger road. Expectations were high and they were exceeded in every way! We will definitely return 😊

Great place for those looking for some privacy! It's easy to take day trips to the beautiful natural sites in the surroundings and relaxing steam from the sauna in the evenings ❤️ Sanna was a great and considerate host. Communication and response was quick :)

We were a group of four staying for a week, and it was a wonderful experience. The place is beautiful—peacefully surrounded by woods, and the classic wooden Lappi mökki was incredibly cozy and charming. It really gave that authentic, relaxing cabin-in-the-forest vibe we were hoping for. If we had to point out anything, it would be that the bunk beds weren’t the most comfortable for our friend who’s 2 meters tall—but for most people, they’d be just fine. All in all, a lovely spot that we’d happily return to!

We were completely satisfied. Our stay was in winter, so it was very quiet. There was enough wood for the fireplace - the sauna was great.

What a place to stay! If you are planning to visit Riisitunturi like us, do not even hesitate one second. The fireplace outside was perfect for our outdoor lunches, the sauna, with a hot water boiler, and the hut was simply so cozy and accommodating. Very much recommend it!!! We really enjoyed our stay at Justin's place. The house is very big with 5 bedrooms and a spacy living/dining room with a view to the lake. Beautiful fireplace and lots of wood available. Kitchen has everything you might need, and a restaurant very near. Skiing track on the lake. Thank you Justin!

We had a great time again! The area was very peaceful, the facilities were just right for a family of 5 and the beach was great. We fished the whole holiday with our own worm hooks and worms and the catch was even brought to the dinner table. We will definitely come again!

We had a fantastic time at Heli's place in Ruka. Heli is one of the best hosts we've encountered on AirBnB: always quick to respond, generous in facilitating requests, keen to share and provide helpful information, and friendly. The cabin is very comfortable, cozy, and well equipped. We particularly appreciated the spacious drying room, sauna and included ski passes. There were also lots of little extras including sleds for the children, a good selections of pans/utensils, oil and seasoning in the kitchen, and shower products in the bathroom. Although it is not central, it is an easy walk to the supermarket, local skibus stop, and cross-country trails. We enjoyed the peace of the lovely neighbourhood. A visit is highly recommended.

The cabin looked better than in the photos! A wonderfully peaceful place with really nice views of the lake. The sauna has really good steam, the house was able to grill sausages, and the cottage was very sleepy. Check-in was easy, and Kari responded quickly to messages with any questions! There was quite a bit of snow during the trip, but fortunately the tractor came and plowed the road. A cottage worth the price!
