We are just twenty minutes’ drive from the town of Knysna, and twenty minutes’ drive from the beach at Buffalo Bay. Our home is a peaceful place with prolific birdlife. Because we are in a nature conservancy, there are no parties and no pets allowed. The wildlife includes bushbuck, baboons and porcupines passing through, and bees love the garden.

The missus and I both agree this is one of the most beautiful weekend getaways we’ve experienced, from the moment you open those doors the view takes your breath away. Truly an incredible sight. Early morning coffee in the jacuzzi watching the sunrise was probably the highlight for us. Definitely worth every penny.

Birdsong Honeymoon lov-nest

This place is absolutely awesome. We know where to book next time we are in the area. It is completely private and highly recommended to anyone looking for special times with their partners especially taking into consideration the hot tub and the amazing views. This place is breathtaking. We also had the best service. They are very trustworthy as I left a R165 000 watch on the counter and no one even moved it when they came for their daily cleanup. This place is highly recommended and personally I feel this place is to cheap for what you get. Amazing experience, amazing staff, amazing views and amazing privacy. Everything me and my wife was looking for. Thanks to Forest Valley for the breathtaking experience.

Anton was a very responsive and accommodating host. The place is tucked away in nature which means lots of serene sounds, peace and quietness. The place is decked out with all the basic cooking stuff, guides and books to really disconnect from our city lives. Only challenge was getting our small rental car over the driveway to the cabin. Highly recommended

The stay was absolutely lovely, and i highly recommend. The place is exactly as advertised. Take note that the property has a really steep hill going towards the cabin, so if you have a normal car you might struggle getting up and down. But other than that it was lovely, with spectacular views.

Our holiday was like staying in the holiday home of a good friend. Worth while getting up for spectacular sunrise and lovely sunsets for view from balcony. Full of beautiful family artwork - fantastic braai and home touches. Soundproofing a bit limited so best suited to staying with family and good friends. Great location in walking distance to estuary. We loved every minute and would love to return.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Wild Heart farm cabin. The cabin is cosy, rustic and stylishly done with lovely wooden features and a nice deck to sit on and enjoy the view. The farm is pretty, with lots going on, we swam in the dam, walked in the forest, and went mountain biking nearby. This is a great place to stay for animal lovers – there are 3 farm dogs and some horses that roam free on the property. Overall it’s a lovely place to stay for a few nights if you’re in the area, and want a family farm experience.
