Spectacular view!!

JuliRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We really enjoyed our stay here! Beautiful views of the harbor right across the street, and just around the corner from the bus stop and the beginning of the Three Distilleries Trail. The house was clean and well appointed and our group really enjoyed the sitting room for evening conversations, as well as breakfasts in the kitchen.

Rathlin View Cottage Ballycastle overlooks the sea

SusanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We really enjoyed staying in Peter's guest home. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The new glass sunroom was amazing! We loved sitting there watching the ocean and the birds. It was like being outside without having to worry about the weather. Peter was a very kind and helpful host. He let us check out a little later on our last day so we could sleep in and have a relaxing morning. He also left us a nice selection of tasty treats to enjoy. We wish we had booked another night or two. If you take the ferry over to Rathlin Island to see the puffins and other sea birds, be sure to have some cash for the bus ride to the Seabird Centre. The bus driver accepted British Pounds or Euros, but not credit cards. We found Rathlin Island to be a delightful place to explore.

Kinbane Self Catering - ‘The Stable’

JaymeRating, 5 stars2 days ago
I booked this stay for my parents for my dads birthday/Father’s Day. They absolutely loved it and sent me videos of inside and outside the house. The house was clean and comfortable for their getaway, and the videos I received looked beautiful. They loved the views (whenever the rain cleared finally lol) and mum adored the cows in the field beside them, and laughed at them waking her up early mooing. Nan was very responsive and gave me clear instructions to pass onto my parents to allow them to get inside. Even had an egg service for fresh eggs from the farm if you fancy some in the mornings. They had an excellent night away at the house and I’d highly recommend!!

Gartartan Port Ellen Modern home with sea views

Torstein VeeRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay in a wonderful house. House was located just outside Port Ellen, nice walking distance to the town. We were met by the host, and was given a tour of the house on arrival. The house was spacious with large bedrooms, a modern, well equipped kitchen and a great view of the sea. Ardbeg, Lagavulin and Laphroaig distilleries are located close by, we took a taxi to Ardbeg and walked back to the house visiting the other two as we passed them. The taxi driver was recommended to us by the host, and he turned out to be one of the friendliest and helpful taxi drivers we've come across. He drove us around half the island one of the other days, and was a great guide as well. The company is called Bodachs Islay Taxi, and Amazing Arthur as we called him is also highly recommended! We highly recommend this property to anyone planning a trip to Islay!

Wow! Wow! Wow! We were totally blown away by how amazing this place is. What a beautiful, characterful home. Very easy space to relax in, with everything you need and more. Stunning location. Sitting in the window or on the front porch the views were mesmerising. Half an hour to Loch Lomond and The Cobbler. Discovered the sailing club across the road and watched sailing races while enjoying a G&T. Brian the host is so helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here and would stay here again when we visit this part of Scotland. Thank you for a wonderful trip.

Traditional seaside cottage with private garden

Alan Rating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We were impressed by the photos on the website but the cottage was even more impressive than the pictures suggested. A spotlessly clean cottage, warm and welcoming, with lots of spaces to relax from the comfortable bedroom, spacious lounge, dining kitchen, cosy nook, and porch area at the back of the property. The garden was magical too, and I found myself drawn to wander around it, seeing something new each time. We were VERY lucky with the weather & the lower patio area was a fabulous suntrap! We have a friend who lives on Bute and when we come back we will definitely look to book Hawthorn Cottage. Thank you Rosemary, we had a wonderful stay.

We were a family of 11 and 3 dogs and we were blown away by the villa. When we got inside we were walking from room to room saying wow at every new room. We cannot praise Nicola and James enough for their communication throughout keeping us informed. Everything was just perfect 👌 the extension with the dining room with the long table was our favourite room and the sofa positioned so you could look out over the loch was everyone’s favourite place to be ❤️ The villa is very well stocked with everything you could need and more. I had read about the welcome pack but didn’t dream it would be as lovely as it was (sadly it’s all gone now!) the hot tub was very welcome after a busy day. The scenery in Scotland is stunning. Three of our party climbed Ben Nevis and the drive to Fort William must be one of the most beautiful in Scotland/UK. Thank you Nicola and James for the most wonderful holiday which is to celebrate my 70th birthday. Lyn + 10 family and 3 small dogs
